And it only gets one star because of the sunset views otherwise this place would be a zero. Wait staff is slow, over worked and generally too busy to be even remotely friendly. Then again I can’t imagine them being thrilled serving food that sucks so bad and is grossly overpriced. Drinks are weak and watered down by obscene amounts of ice. The parking lot it made up of large rocks, not comfortable to walk on if you had to park far away.

Discovered an incredible eatery right on the water that I wish I would have found years ago(And, no I am not related to the owners nor do I know them.). This quaint waterside restaurant has a simple ambiance that restaurant snobs might reject but if you enjoy breathing in fresh water scents this is the place for you. We sat on the deck enjoying a sunset with no flying insects to disturb our meal(Ok, I am sure there are seasons when an indoor window seat is preferred over the outdoors but not tonight. Happy hour brought $ 3 beer and $ 5 flatbread with crabmeat melted over with cheddar. The steamers were tasty and the Manhattan Chowder tasted of clams not tomato. The haddock sandwich was huge … A great dinner choice with a waterfront view right next to Viking Yachts. Definitely CHECKITOUT and make happy hour if you can!

The misleading positive reviews of this place are written by the owners, owner’s friends, and bands that play here. Great location and decorations. Unfortunately, the food was not good and extremely salty. The drinks were equally as disappointing and were priced as if this place were in a city(Bass River is the exact opposite of a city). We ordered a rum bucket thinking it was going to be similar to the fish bowls served at other restaurants. Instead we got a 16oz plastic cup of ice and pineapple juice with undetectable amounts of rum. I would’ve been slightly ok with this if they didn’t charge us $ 12 for that. This place is weird.

Went there for lunch yesterday. I wanted to have seafood. Surprisingly very little seafood on the menu. No clams no oysters no crab. I had a hamburger which was very good and my girlfriend had a chicken sandwich which was very good. No seafood. There was also a little smell of gas because the gas pumps are right where you eat. The restaurant is on the water they need to offer more seafood.

Went here with coworkers after work. Great outside views, but the flies or gnats did a number on my legs. But that’s to be expected out there. The food was ok, but wasn’t very hot when brought out. Got fries, steamers, and crab cakes. The crab cakes were good, the rest were just ok. The beers were ice cold and service was friendly.

This is the second time we’ve been to this restaurant, the first time they had just opened for the season and the wine glasses the bartender gave us were really dirty! However, we decided to give it another try, if you love being outside on the water, this place is great, but you probably only want to have drinks there, check the glass before you drink from it! Now, that being said, we ordered 4 appetizers, the only appetizer that was any good was the calamari, the other 3 were awful! The chicken wings weren’t cooked, the pork was so over cooked it was ridiculous and the other appetizer that was some sort of crab concoction, the chips that were in it were over cooked and the sauce that was out on top was ice cold! When the waitress came over and asked, we told her and all she did was hand us the check! We were really disgusted and disappointed! Oh and they do have music which was nice! If the owners would figure out how to fix the bad food it would be a great place to come to!

Good food! Good Music! Beautiful sunset! Came for dinner and was greeted by a very nice hostess, she seated us on the open deck, and the server was fast to wait on us. A good band played some relaxing music the entire time.

If the owners, who also own Allen’s Clam Bar, kep their food fresh, it would be 5 stars. .setting is awesome, love the live music. .but fish tacos seemed to have Mrs Pauls dish sticks, and the burger was a frozen one, worth maybe $ 6 no $ 11…

Good Food, but Small Portions We stopped in for lunch when we saw the sign on their roof of the restaurant in the marina. You have to drive through the marina to the other side of the bay to get to the restaurant. Plenty of parking though. The place is not very big. There was a small musical group setting up in the afternoon, and they sounded loud, so we asked to be seated in the back room. We ordered wings and a «chum bucket» appetizer. The wings were baked, which made them plump and tasty, but they were smothered in sauce. The Chum Bucket was similar to nachos, but using homemade potato chips instead, with chives, tomatoes and crab meat. This dish was great, but small. The home made chips were excellent, but it was a VERY small portion. I ordered a burger with horse radish sauce, and my wife ordered the fish tacos. The fish tacos came as a set of 3, with nothing else. The burger came with exactly 8 potato chips. I asked for a couple more chips, and they sent me out 12 more chips in a dish, and charged me for a side dish. The Miller Lite drafts were $ 2.50, which you can’t beat, and the service was very good. But, I think they can spare a bit more food on the plates for a decent portions of food. To my followers: The food is good, but the majority of the menu is burgers and sandwiches. From the highway, this looks like a high end eatery, but it is more of a local tavern than anything else. The drinks are good, especially the specialty drinks on a separate menu. We tried one that was recommended by a fellow reviewer, and it was very good.

Breezes is a hidden gem tucked away in the Viking Yachting Center Marina on Rt 9 in New Gretna. A great relaxing spot to enjoy some food and cocktails. They are currently expanding to have a large outdoor deck and bar and adding entertainment for this summer. Definitely worth checking out. I would suggest trying the Crabcake sandwich or the Fish N Chips along with a Flying Fish Ale. Breezes is owned by the same family as the other local gem Allens Clam Bar, but it offers different fair.
