Mavis Discount Tire

As I noted in my first review my gut tells me this place is OK. Unfortunately they fell short for me again. On the plus side, the people there are nice. In addition, they gave me a substantial credit on my bill to make things right. That shows that they care and that perhaps my experiences are the exception.
That said, this time I took the same car back for new tires, balancing, and alignment. I had an appointment at 11am. I arrived at 10:55AM and they said it would be done in 90 minutes at 12:30pm. When I arrived back at 12:30pm, the car was not even in the garage yet. They indicated they would get it right in. 90 minutes later at 2PM, the car was still not done. Another 75 minutes later at 3:15pm they said they were just completing it. Another 65 minutes later at 4:20pm, the car was done. Total time 5 hours and 20 minutes.
Further, I noticed the steering wheel was off center when I drove home. The car is 5 years old so there might be some give, but it was more significantly off. I took it back in the next day. It was very quick (and free) and they fixed it.
I still stand by my feeling that I think this is a good place and I will give it one more try in the future.
I give it a 3 this time even though the experience was painful because the gave me the substantial credit for the wait.

They were awesome from the first call. I cam in needing a balancing and maybe an alignment (it helped that I made sure to research what I needed online first based upon my symptoms), prepping for a cross country trip. They said «they’d take care of me», and they definitely did. I brought my car into Mike, who was as nice as can be. We went and checked the tires together, discussed their history, and agreed that balance and rotation was what was needed. Due to some wear on the tires (which he showed me) and the fact that it tracked a little to the left, he offered up an alignment for $ 30 off the regular price. After saying it would be done in three hours, he called me up in one hour and said the car was ready. Problem solved, car ready for the trip. They also checked all my fluids again and after noticing my power steering was dirty, didn’t put the hard sell on me when I said I would take care of it myself.
The point is this, they were honest, fast, reasonably priced, instructive, really nice, and didn’t put the hard sell on me. If you live around here, make these guys your tire guys.

Brought in my SUV because the right rear wheel ran over a curb and made a repeated clicking sound afterwards. They looked at it, saw that a weight had been knocked off so they replaced it… for FREE! No charge for the part or for their time/​labor. I can definitely trust that these guys will not gouge me on their services and will certainly return to buy tires from them! A++++
