Captain D’s

It’s hit or miss. The shrimp skewers usually have the texture and taste that they’ve been skewered and grilled a day or so ago — stick to the skewer and are rubbery. The fish is decent. The corn on the cob is great. With other sides the portions are so small I think the preparer thought they’d actually get some on the plate. The service is very friendly. The restaurant is clean. The biggest problem the portion sizes. I ordered broccoli and I got about four small… well you can’t even call them heads — they were pieces of heads chopped small. I wish they had brown rice in addition to white for health and diet concerns. 1 star for cleanliness, 2 stars for service and nothing for food quality and taste.

My impression of Captain D’s: greasy fast food, fried everything. no way would I eat there. My partial change of heart: grilled salmon over rice with sides of corn on the cob and broccoli along with decent bread, all at a reasonable price.
Is this Red Lobster? No, not even close. But if someone is going to Captain D’s and that is your only option for lunch the good news is that you can eat something that is mostly healthy and not have to choke down grease.

This establishment’s customer service is horrible. Someone in management needs to reevaluate the staff. The staff is going to kill your business and your brand. I understand that it’s crappy fast food. However is does not take a rocket scientist to do this job. How challenging is it to be enthusiastic about where you work and take pride in what you do? If you don’t like your job then quit. Corporate needs to give this location a serious second look.

We decided to go here for lunch last week. The fish was meh. It was fresh fish mixed in with not so fresh fish… The cashier on drive-​thru wasn’t very friendly. This is surely not what I was expecting as it relates to the food and customer service. It was okay. Not in a hurry to return because the food was so good.

Awful manager. Will not go to this location again.

I feel kinda funny writing a review of a fast food chain, but after a low ball from another thought I’d chime in on my experience.
1) I use coupons. Get the «Fish & Fry’s», but with slaw. $ 4.05. Always 2 big meaty fillets, and the slaw and hushpuppies have always been good, too. A good little lunch IMO. Never had any problems and the staff has been nice. Been there at least a dozen times.
2) Act like a jerk, expect to be treated like one…
