Waaaay overpriced! Just one cocktail was $ 9 and practically no alcohol! *shakes head* For $ 9 you can get a half pitcher margarita at Señor Salsa and need to pace yourself drinking just that! A normal margarita for $ 4 would be better than the $ 9 drink here! Moving along the meal for all 5 of us came to a little over $ 80. That’s ordering cheap off the menu and having all waters plus the cocktail. One of my favorite parts however was when our waitress came by our table and complained about the other table leaving a small tip. I now recall why I rarely ever go there!

Ordered steak and ribs. Medium on the steak. It came well well done and very tough. The ribs was extremely dry. Which was really bad for the waitress cause she was great. Overheard the ppl behind us having trouble with their meal as well. Won’t be here again. Certainly not worth $ 40.

My wife and I visited on a Monday so I am assuming the weekend chef was probably taking the day off. I ordered the Pecan Crusted Tilapia. It was dreadfully flavorless and overcooked. Luckily, I ordered a fried zucchini appetizer and I ate that along with the sides and Caesar salad. I did not complain because at that point my wife had already finished half of her salmon and it would have taken too long to ask for something else. If we ever visit there again I will try a steak.

My first visit here was less than impressive. Wanted to sit in the empty bar rather than wait for a table but was told no… never did see any activity in there. Host complained about having too many large parties, waitress was not friendly in the least. I guess the only way this place is still in business is the lack of competition in the area for steakhouses. If any chain restaurant moves in next door, this place will likely close due to poor service.

First I must say my server really tried hard, which is why I give 2 stars and not 1. Bless her heart. My salad came with my meal, I ordered steak(med)and shrimp with baked potato. Steak came out well done and had the well done marker so I think it was just a mistake. I took a bite trying to see if it was OK, but it was dried out. I know well done and this was past that. My server apologized and asked for a new steak. I ate the baker and it was fine. The catfish was well battered but needed seasoning. Worth a shot at lunch I think. My medium steak arrived and it was cooked perfect. But the taste was bland. Needed salt and pepper. I used ketchup to help. I was very polite to my server as she was no more than 18. Most of the waitstaff is very young. I feel that is due to the crowd being older and not tipping well. The food reminded me of cafeteria food for fixed incomes my grandmother took me to in Odessa Texas, another oil town. I have a feeling this place used to be good but the town is unable to sustain restaurants. Maybe next time I will try lunch. Note to Unilocal staff: I found value in a number of posts that were blocked. Had I read them before checking in I would have passes.

My rib eye was perfectly cooked and my fries were hot and fresh. I know that no place is perfect. Today wa s the best bville meal I have had during our trip. My wife really enjoyed the strawberry salad. Sure the décor is outdated but that can get fixed easily enough. If you want huge portions thus is the place.

There food is amazing. The falet mignon is always cooked correct and amazing. Service is pretty good depending on when you go. The manager is amazing. If something is wrong he went above and beyond to get it fixed and was very polite.

Well as my pictures show our visit was less than average. Service was very good. Good was not worth the 35.00 to eat there. Atmosphere was dark and quiet which is what I wanted so that aspect was awesome. The steak was well done no pink. I ordered med well which should have a streak a pink through out. Which is how there own menu describes it. The Mac and cheese noodles were perfectly cooked until the cheese was on it but made it dry and was not creamy at all. The cook and waitress Came to the table asking how things were. But frankly wasn’t done with meal so at that point wasn’t full honest with him. This place has a lot of potential and I don’t think I will give up on it yet.

We got our seat quickly, but it took 10 – 15 minutes for the waiter to come back for our orders. The house«chipotle ranch» dressing was nice and spicy; the rolls were fresh out of the oven but fairly standard fare; the center cut sirloin 8oz was tender and moist, and the house BBQ sauce passable. The sweet potato was amazing, so make sure you try it if you enjoy sweet potatoes. Would rate it slightly above average, and well above the expectations set by the other reviews listed.

I went with my roommate at 6PM. The place seemed pretty busy, which might explain the delays. Getting a table was a little difficult, because the hostesses didn’t notice we were waiting to be seated. Once we got to a seat, our orders were promptly taken by a friendly waiter, but then we waited half an hour to get our meals. I ordered a chicken sandwich(I know, buying chicken at a steakhouse) and my roommate bought a 9 oz. sirloin center cut steak. I’m glad I bought the chicken sandwich! My roommate’s steak was dry. He didn’t like it. Behind us a couple returned their steak(which they ordered to be cooked«medium») when they found it still cold in the center. The surroundings were pleasantly dim, but the interior decorating reminded me too much of a Bass Pro Shop.

The steaks can be good… sometimes. We left the last time we were there b/c our waiter was stoned or something. He left for 20 minutes to get our waters and then, literally tossed the 20 oz tumblers across the table. We were splashed, he was rude. On the occasion we have gotten food, it’s a little less than ok. The steaks are ok but I make better at home and the rest of the food is crap. If you like dry burgers on a house made out of bread they call a bun, go for it. If you like chicken pasta that is covered in five pounds of greasy imitation cheese, please go here.

I only give this three stars because I like the atmosphere. It’s a nice, dark, casual place with a little personality(albeit contrived), to kick back and chat over a meal. I’m not much of a meat eater, but if I’m going to eat beef, I want it to be worth clogging up my arteries with, so it probably wouldn’t be from here. I do like their salads though and their Grand Teton Tea. * this star rating is relative to the Bvl area
