Great wings, great food, friendly service… and it’s a Pittsburgh sports bar! As a displaced ‘burgher that has a vacation house in the area, I couldn’t believe it when I found this place. Their wings are as great as advertised ~ great variety of different sauces. The food is outstanding — huge portions, inventive sandwiches. …and someone else mentioned it ~ but get the ICECREAMPIE!(but not by yourself, share it with your family/table). Now that the pens won another cup, I’m hoping that John, the owner, buys me a celebration beer. He’s good like that ;)

We come for the wings. I order the teriyaki garlic wings, my husband orders the honey Chipotle wings and my son gets the Johnny hots. Unbelievable wings– while we are eating we shake our heads in amazement, food make with love!

The wings are my favorite that I’ve ever had. They are always meaty and cooked just right. All of the different sauces surprise and delight me. Seriously, best bar food I’ve ever found. Creative and consistent.

My boyfriend and I were in town staying in Glen Spey for our first time EVER and our host recommended this place to us. Because I was running a half marathon the next day, I wanted to eat something very filling and carb dense. Boy, this place sure delivered. We knew we had found the right spot when we pulled up and the parking lot was jam packed — some cars were even double parked — and we had to park on the street. Once we walked in, we took in all the steelers gear, locals posted up at the bar, and families coming for dinner and knew we had found a great spot. The waitress got our beer orders taken and delivered immediately and then wasn’t back for a whiiiile to take our orders. We ordered white trash wings because um THEY’REABSURD and my boyfriend got a patty melt and I got a brisket melt. Just over 30 minutes later we got our wings. I’m not complaining, we had a good time and I got another beer, but if you’re in a rush maybe don’t come here. They get busy and the ratio of wait staff to tables was insufficient as far as I could see. The waitress we had was SONICE though we didn’t care. White trash wings will really fill you up. Tread carefully. The breeding on these is really amazing — the fact that it manages to stay crisp under all that garlicky, smooth mashed potatoes is incredible. The gravy dipping sauce was a nice touch too, but the mashed potatoes really makes it. We mopped up all the mashed potatoes with the wings. The sandwiches were delicious, around $ 10 but huge and served with fries. My brisket was so moist and I had a bite of my boyfriends’ patty melt the next day — it was so good! Great patty and cooked a perfect medium rare. I wish more small town places I stopped into were like BVH Sports Bar. It is far and away better food than most sports bars I have been to. If I’m ever back in the area I’ll be back to try those ghost pepper wings.

Bet wings I’ve had in a very long time! Great sauces and great menu choices as well. Bartender was great. Waitstaff also very friendly. Will definitely be coming back to this place often. Also good for sports!

They have great food and great wings, the service could use a lot of help. And as far as customer service goes as a person you spend a lot of time there over the summer, they could treat their loyal customers a lot better.

Great little sports bar. The bartender/owner is very friendly and attentive. I ordered a signature drink that required orange juice and they were all out so he sent someone to the store to get some so he could make my drink. Totally unnecessary but I completely appreciated that nonetheless. Their wings are what they are known for so we tried the Johnny Hottz. They were awesome… perfect spicy to sweet ratio. They have many different flavors to try. They have lots of TVs to watch a game. Crowd seemed like all locals and very friendly. One word of caution… if you are not a Steelers fan and are very vocal about that I don’t know how long the crowd would continue to be friendly… even the front door is painted yellow and black:). Great place. Will definitely go back.

Dude!!! The best wings ever. I know the owner, John, for years. I went in for some take out wings. The were some of the best wings that I have ever eaten. On the plus side, this place is a temple dedicated to the Pittsburgh Steelers!!! Being a huge Steelers fan myself, I found this awesome.

The wings are mind blowing. They really are. I’ve had a lot of wings in my day, but everyone we were with agreed that these wings were the best. There has been talk of road trips from NYC in the future for these wings. By the way, get the ice cream pie too. And come hungry.

If you don’t try the award winning wings, you’ll be sorry! Ice cold draft beers go down quickly! If there is ever room for desert… the ice cream or peanut butter ice cream pies are a meal onto themselves(serves at least 4) Yum! Friendly hard working staff completes the Sports atmosphere…

You like great food? This is the place for you! We went on wing night Wednesday specifically so I could try their famous White Trash Wings. Wow!!! I didn’t know what to expect. A big plate of battered fried wings came topped with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy on the side for dipping. It was phenomenal-literally a chicken dinner. Incredible. On Wednesdays, all the wings are discounted, I believe they are $.60 except white trash and the johnny ghostpepper, but they are worth it! We also had loaded cheese fries-they do not skimp on bacon! Me and my friend both tried the blueberry and watermelon ales, which were very good, while the others had domestic bottles. Someone told us to get the peanut butter chocolate ice cream pie— fantastic, and thank god we shared– it’s a big plate! While it’s a sports bar, it seemed as if the whole town was there. Families were there earlier for dinner, of course away from the bar. I live about 50−60minutes away, but it was worth the trip to try The Hudson Valley Wing Bowl Champs wings.

My first impression was that The BVH Sports Bar was having a wing night and the wings were only $ 6 for a dozen and $ 1.75 beers until 10PM. I couldn’t believe it. What a sweet deal. The sauce selection was quite large, as I believe I counted 11 different sauces to choose from. The wings were appropriately crispy. And they were authentically prepared with secrets sauces with no breading or batter, and deep fried. They were coated well with just the right amount of sauce. Still, they were well covered and not drowning. Highly recommend! Cash only would be the only minor negative. Atm Fees and Bank Fees!

Stopped by for a quick drink and to watch the end of the ranger game When I asked what was on the menu the bartender said would you like our wing menu? Loving wings I said sure . Then the bartender who I later found out was the owner pointed to a big trophy behind the bar and said we won first place for these wings at Hudson vally wing contest. I had no idea I was about to have the best wings I’ve ever had The owner John is a wing genius! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

Went here with the family on the way to skiing — awesome wing selection — strawberry chipotle and buffalo were our favorite, insane fries with chilli — might be best i’ve had, and one of the best double IPA’s I’ve ever tasted! Will definitely be back for more!

Great!!! There is no substituting greatness. Eat anything. This is one one of new york’s best kitchens Bourdain hasn’t been to. Two time Hudson valley wing champion is constantly developing new foods in his kitchen.

Stumbled upon this sports bar randomly while camping in Barryville. What an awesome place! Arrived during the final World Cup game and got a seat at the bar. We were instantly greeted by friendly bartender(owner?) John. Had many recommendations on bevs which made us feel at home. We were starving and were proudly informed on how their wings came in first place and they were OUTSTANDING! Perfectly crispy and smoother in sauce not overwhelming by an mean. We also ordered the baked Reuben and brisket melt. Someone knows their stuff because theses sandwiches were one of the best we’ve eve had. Bread was perfectly toasted and fresh along with the fall apart meat inside. I enjoyed the double dose of kraut hidden in the pile of corned beef. Both came with ff and a side of Mac salad. Both good but the sandwiches take the cake. We were extremely satisfied with everything. Too bad we live about 6 hours away or else we would return frequently. Bring cash or use the ATM inside… There is also a liquor store attached but right next door… Check this place out you will not be disappointed!

The best wings in the Hudson Valley! These wings won every category they were in at all aspects of the Hudson Valley Wing bowl… The food here is top notch, not only for a bar, but any restaurant in this area! Not to mention the draft beer selection varies from domestic to top notch microbrews! My favorite place in the Catskills!
