The Barrington Day Spa and Salon

First, let me say that this review is hard for me to write. I like a lot of the ladies that work here, and have had some really good services here consistently over the past couple of years. That being said, I have a serious issue with a lack of privacy that I experienced as a client. That is a deal breaker for me, and it is why I am no longer a customer.
I recently went in to work, and was confronted by one of our sales reps commenting on the services that I had done at BDS, and how much I spent on them. When I asked how he came upon this information, he told me that he knows the owners of the salon and it «came up» that I was a customer, and how much the services cost that I have done (many awkward comments about how much I must make, and spend, etc. followed) This is information that he would not have known in any way (even my husband doesn’t know what I spend?!). I find it horribly unprofessional that my personal services were discussed with anyone. This is not acceptable. It has created a serious situation for me at work. I work in a corporate environment as an executive, and I assumed that the salon protected client privacy. They do not.

Loved the facial & organic products used. Will be going back my only wish was the music was a little more relaxing but not a deal breaker. Loved the ambiance.

Really nice staff and great service. Décor is beautiful and my facial was really good. Massage on my face, neck and shoulders felt amazing! I would definitely go back.

I visited the spa for a make-​up trial a few weeks ago. The salon is absolutely gorgeous and decadent, it made me feel pampered even though I was only getting a makeup trial. I saw Amber, the owner, she does airbrush and all esthetician services and clearly knows what she is doing. This isn’t the first time I have gotten airbrushed, I really love it for special occasions like a wedding (my wedding!), and I have always been pleased with the results. The main difference with my previous experiences (with a different person) and working with Amber is that she really took the time to make sure I liked everything she was doing. You can tell she likes her work and wants you to be 100% satisfied.
On my wedding day Amber came to my house to airbrush myself and 4 others. She was timely, professional, and did a wonderful job on everyone! Scheduling with her was easy. She also does an awesome job applying false lashes — definitely get these. My airbrush makeup was perfect for my wedding day, which is all you want on the big day!
