I stopped by Persimmon Ridge Winery this afternoon. Google’s directions are none too hot, so you may want to check out the directions on their website. Don’t be afraid of the long gravel road, or of the scenery on the drive in. After you park, you walk right through the vineyard on the eway to the tasting bar. I love that aspect! The owner, whose name I have already forgotten, was the one to help us. He was conversational and didn’t pressure us. We each enjoyed a glass of deliciously fruity red sangria on the prettiest day we’ve experienced in some time. Unfortunately, Persimmon Ridge does not sell food, and as we didn’t bring any, we had to stop with a glass each. If you’re going to Villa Antonio or just in the area, I recommend stopping off at Persimmon Ridge.
