Shane’s Rib Shack

I took my sons here for dinner last night. They wanted Shane’s but I was Leary from past experience. This was worse their usual so-​so service. I guess when you are based in a small college town you can’t expect much. Service was not good. Fries were cold and limp. I could’ve gone to many other restaraunts to eat dinner, some that had excellent food for my money. The staff were all kids and they hung out in one booth together and laughed and played around. I had to pick up three bottles of ketchup from other tables to find one that had enough to squirt out for my fries. While these kids sat and watched me, never asking me if I needed anything. They were more interested in socializing. Boys would come in and sit down and all the girls would gather around laughing. It was more like a group hangout at the college cafeteria than a restaraunt!
I will NOT return here. I live between Griffin and Barnesville and will surely drive to Griffin for dinner where I get excellent service. And I’m not talking about the Shanes there! Any place but Shanes.
Sad thing is it used to be excellent bar b que before it was franchised. My children went to school with his children and he is fine man and contributes a lot to the local communities… but Shane, get a handle on this one!

The food is good. Service is friendly and fast but the flies are so prevalent in the restaurant you can hardly eat for batting them away from your plate

Ordered the boneless wings without sauce because I didn’t want any of their standard flavors, disgusting! The chicken used is marginal quality-​several pieces were pretty fatty. The food is just «ok» here.
