The website is down and when I drove by a couple of weeks ago, there was a sign in the window they were closed for renovations. Two semi’s and a box truck were parked in the lot near the theater and there was a lot of construction materials inside. Now I see they are open(found their listing in as I have them as a favorite) and they are now showing IMAX, foreign films along with first run films, and have reserved seating in some theaters. Cool! Hopefully they were able to deal with the mold issues and got things fixed. They’re a great theater. Never crowded, which we love. I hate having to drive to a mall to go to the movies and fight the crowds. Their website is still down but I’m calling them today to see if they are truly opened and hope to check them out this weekend.

This is one of those times I wish it were possible to post a «zero» review. This place deserves nothing else. I hate to do it, because I’ve been here many times, but it’s taken a turn for the worse over the last few months. I’m not going back, and I want to warn others to stay away. As other reviewers have noted, the place has an unpleasant odor. The theater I was in had no heat … a manager was desperately playing with an electric heater at the far back end of it, but as you can imagine, this didn’t help at all, so I have no idea why he wasted his time. The previews were out of focus, so I reported that, hoping they’d fix it in time for the movie. They played with the focus for a while, but never actually got the screen in focus(I guess that was as good as it would get?). I was told I could get a refund due to the lack of heat, but I wanted to see the movie and toughed it out. I also vowed I would never return. That’s the last dime they’ll ever get from me. Seeing other reviews with similar complaints tells me the crappy condition of this place is not new and it must be something management is aware of. But it’s equally clear they do not intend to do anything about it.(A tiny electric heater at the back of a theater? To make up for a lack of heat? I still can’t believe they were that stupid.) There are other cineplexes I can go to, like Simsbury Commons, and that’s what I plan to do from now on.

Place smelled like sewage. Theaters weren’t even heated. Very poor screen quality. Will never go again until owned by someone else.

How can a place fall apart so quickly, only a few months from my last review. (Sounds like im saying it’s been only that long since my last confession, lol) You walk in and your guided to the concession stand to buy tickets, weird. You walk into the hallway of the theater and i swear it smell liked all of the sewage in the United States had been piled into the basement of this one place. I was close to throwing up. The carpets are beyond disgusting and are in desperate need of redoing. The theaters themselves are also pretty gross, the seats are sticky and feel like ages old. Pretty yuck. The bathrooms i couldn’t go into beside from the smell of the overall theater, there was urine on the floor and it was just totally a nightmare. Thought the theaters in brooklyn were bad, but i was living a lie. Nothing can be worse than here. *TRULYSHOULDBE A ZEROSTARREVIEW*

Saw Reacher. Movie was good the place was awful. Very dirty all around. The men’s room almost gaged me the smell was so bad. The sinks looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. My girlfriend’s jacket still carried the odor of the ladies room when we got in the car to leave… will not return to see anything there. CLEANITUP!!!’

Yes, we have experienced better. Went to see«Skyfall» at 11:00AM on a Sunday. The theater was deserted. We were the only people in the lobby, except for the two dudes behind the concession stand that doubled as the ticket booth. The ticket prices were just $ 6 each. The lobby was kind of sparse– except for the dozens of video games that all sported a ‘For Sale” sign –that was pretty bizarre. Our Skyfall showing was a private screening– we were the only two seated in the theater. The seats were comfy, the sound quality was good, the film quality was good except for sporadic bright light flashes which were disconcerting. The men’s restroom was fine, but my wife reports that the ladies room had a repulsive odor, and one of the soap dispensers wasn’t working.

I’ve gone here quite a few times and the staff are very friendly and the Tues — Thurs special is a great buy.

Pretty decent theater. The theater sizes are good size. I have had the film go off the reel before and my husband had to inform them. They have 3d there but I’ve never seen a 3d movie there. It’s definitely a more low key place and it looks old. The tickets are sold at the concession stand so if someone is buying refreshments expect to wait. I have chosen this one over the Torrington theater over what I have heard and I have been pretty pleased.

Not Cinerom now called Mallory Brook Theater scheduled my day around a 3:45 movie drove 20 minutes to get to the theater only to be told that there was no movie at that time for the show I wanted too see but I could see another movie that started 15 minutes ago. Really not only did I check theater times online before I left I also called and listened to the theaters recording. This is s new business and I think they really need to step it up because I am not a happy customer probably will not go back to this theater ruined my plans and I couldn’t find the movie I wanted to see at a time that fit into my day.
