Great service and good food. Tried the slaw burger which was a little sweet but delicious. Also had the grilled pork loin sandwich and it was tender and juicy. We stopped here on our way back from the Makers Mark Distillary and it was such a nice treat. We will stop by again if we are in the area. I hear the menu changes each Sunday and all home cooked.

Went to the bourbon festival and this was the only restaurant open. Had the BLT with fried green tomatoes. Delicious! If I’m ever back in Kentucky I’ll be sure to go back to this restaurant.

While in Bardstown for the Art and Craft Fair, Nick and I wanted to go somewhere local for the food. We used our handy Unilocal App and found Susie Q’s. It was close to us and had positive feedback. The food was decent, there are several reasons I am only giving this a 2-star rating. You seat yourself, so we found at table in the second room of the restaurant. It did not appear to be overly crowded or a rush. But, it did take about 10 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. The place was out of stock for several of the menu items. I asked for a fish sandwich but was never asked what bread I wanted the sandwich one. For the record, it comes on a white bun. The fish sandwich was okay. Nick ordered the coleslaw burger because it was mention on the help reviews. The burger was decent but there was no tomato, onion or pickles with the burger. It came with chips that were okay. Nick and I shared a side of onion rings. The rings were your typical onion rings. It took several minutes for us to receive refills on our drinks. Then when the check was given to us, we were not informed that you needed to pay at the front. So we waited another 10 minutes(in those 10 minutes, the waitress did not come back to the second room of the place at all) before we decided to find out where to pay. The lackluster service and all of the food tasting just okay, I am giving Susie Q’s 2 stars.

Nice little hometown type restaurant. We each ordered the slaw burger and found it to be very good. Homemade chips are also good. Our waitress was friendly and answered our menu questions with a smile. On a side note the slaw burger is messy to eat so be sure to ask for extra napkins and plan on washing your hands before you leave.

Great every time I have been there. Food is always really good and always get what you ask for without worrying about it. Would recommend to anyone. Great local spot to eat at.

We dropped by this place to pick up our lunch during our vacation drive. The sandwiches looked very good, and so we decided to stop at a nearby park to finish them. Their fried green tomato BLT tasted much better than a fried green tomato dish that we had at Harrison-Smith House!

Went to Susie Q’s while riding bikes this weekend. Had the slaw burger and onion rings. My buddy had the cheeseburger. Both were great! The staff was attentive and our iced tea/lemon-aides never went below half full. We’re planning on coming back on another weekend road trip!

Stopped off here for lunch while touring bourbon country with my family. Three of us ordered the Fried Green Tomato BLT, one ordered a regular BLT and one ordered the Slaw Burger. I had the Fried Green Tomato BLT(minus the mayo) with a side of onion rings. The bacon was cooked perfectly crisp on all of our sandwiches. All enjoyed their meal.

Good food but every time we have gone the service is slow and it takes some time to get our food or even refills for the drinks.

Fried Green Tomato BLT. Need I say more? My hubby and I really liked this place was passing through town. It was a nice change of pace from bourbon tasting and had such a great small town vibe.

Was in Bardstown for a wedding recently and stumbled on this place. Wow. Fried Green Tomato BLT. Blew my mind. Delicious salads too. Bardstownians, you are extremely lucky to have these sandwiches at your disposal.

Two words: slaw burger! Sooooo good! Add some sweet tea in there and any of her awesome sides and you’re set. My sister let me in on this bardstownian secret. She said she had the slaw burgers weekly when she was preggers. Lol! Def be making this a regular stop when I’m in visiting family! prices are super reasonable too!
