We checked in around 9:30 as a walkin. Got a great spacious and clean room. Comfortable bed and relatively quiet considering the location. Had a great night’s sleep and woke up to a shower with excellent water pressure. The complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations, however i would love to see them adopt Holiday Inn Express’ cinnamon rolls. The staff was friendly and gave us two free bags of «coal cookies» since I told her I was giving the first one to our grandson. Enjoyed the free wifi. Would definitely stay again.

Alright. First thing I should say is DONOTSTAYHERE. I stay at Hampton Inns all the time, as I do a lot of traveling for work. Well, not any more. I wanted to have a decent night watching football and baseball. Instead I just feel ill. As a compliment to me staying here so often, I’m left with a «snack»(which consisted of bottled water, pistachios, and some cinnamon coffee cake) in my room. I must say, I thoroughly enjoy some cinnamon coffee cake. I dove into it. Unbeknownst to me, I should have inspected every inch of the shrink wrapped cake. After I swallowed my first bite, the taste did seem a bit off. I had had a beer and thought that it may have thrown the taste off. After I had eaten my third bite, I knew something was off. I decided to pull it all the way out of its wrapper and look it over. The underside was covered in black mold. I immediately threw up. It wasn’t due to any mold taking effect on my bowels, but just out of sheer disgust. I set it aside and polished off my beer to get a new taste in my mouth. After a few minutes I knew I had to bring it to the staff’s attention. I’m not one for confrontation, really, so was reluctant. I know some people would have stormed down immediately. That’s not me. I did go down, however. I pointed this out to them and expressed my disgust. Not so much as an apology. Thy took it and threw it out and told me they would«adjust my rate». Ok, fine. This was just before the young man at the desk had said to me «Man that’s crazy. We remodeled a couple rooms recently and the walls were covered in that stuff.» Black mold? The walls of the hotel rooms are covered in black mold? No thanks. I will never be back in my life. Not at this Hampton Inn, and not at any other Hampton In. Thank you, Hampton Inn, for my ruining evening, and I’m sure other people’s as well. Good riddance.

Usually we like Hampton Inn but this one was in bad need of renovation. Our room did not have an exhaust fan in the bathroom and it also had a very strange smell. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was average. Overall very outdated by today’s standards.

We stayed here as a one-night stopover on a roadtrip, booked via , & I have to say it was a lot nicer than I was expecting! Pretty quiet, considering there seemed to be a lot of people staying here on the night we were in town. Good location close to the highway & a lot of restaurants, and apparently the«largest shopping mall in West Virginia» if you’re into that. Finding the entrance was a little bizarre as it’s stuck behind a bunch of stuff & I totally couldn’t figure out what road was OK to turn into. Free breakfast in the a.m. that seemed to be well-attended to… typical continental breakfast fare, powdered eggs, etc., but the waffles were actually really good. The staff was super nice, as well. The one small negative for me was that the bed was super bouncy & not as soft as I like(granted, that’s personal preference)… but anytime my boyfriend would move the slightest bit I was woken up by the bed bouncing around. Overall it was a good stay for what we needed, a place to get out of the car, stretch our legs & sleep for a good price.

We love Hampton Inn anyway, but the service at this Hampton Inn has been nothing short of extraordinary! The fresh fruit included with breakfast is like nothing I have ever seen at a business class lodging place. The staff have been attentive, friendly, and helpful at every turn. Everything is exceptionally clean and sweet-smelling. This morning, a housekeeper was down on her hands and knees with a scrub brush, cleaning the grout in the main lobby. Even the process of making reservation by phone was far superior to another nearby Hampton Inn.

Kind of a run down appearance, but once inside it isn’t as bad. This is a typical Hampton inn. I wasn’t very happy with the bed as it was quite concave shaped. Anyway I would try another place next time. MSZ

A typical Hampton Inn — the one thing about Hampton’s is that they are very predictable. The only complaint that I have is that my key was deactived when I returned from work today — the fact that it was disabled is not the issue. The problem was that the desk attendant gave me a new key without so much as asking for my name much less ID. Apparently they had key issues as my co-worker and at least one other guest that I saw had the same issue. Let’s hope everyone got the right key!
