FIORE Artisan Olive Oils & Vinegars

This is a fine way to spend an hour in Bar Harbor! The other reviews are spot-​on, and I thought, when leaving, that this wasn’t just a visit, it was an experience. Wow!

Such a unique experience and so glad we went! The staff’s tour, though brief, was spectacular. She was so knowledgeable and made me very excited to taste test so many of their products. My husband was captivated by their raspberry vinaigrette, which we ultimately purchased. There were many others that came in a close second. I highly recommend stopping here, tasting the amazing flavors available, and taking something back for your home! (And if not for you, these would be adorable gifts!)

Wonderful service, huge variety, very knowledgable staff, a little pricey but top quality product. You well never find a place like this anywhere else. There needs to be more places with this atmosphere out there.

We came here on the Maine foodie tour. We sampled many oils and balsamics. It was fun and tasty. You can taste all of this for free without being on the foodie tour and I think it’s something fun and different you should try if you have a bit of time.

I visited their Rockland location in 2011 after the Maine Lobster Festival and decided to visit their sister location since I was in the Bar Harbor area. The location itself is well stocked with the same great selection of vinegars and olive oils. It’s a bit away from the commonly walked on streets and the building doesn’t stand out, so it’s easy to walk by if you’re not looking specifically for the place. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I usually buy the 750ml bottles from them and they definitely hold their flavor for the 5 – 6 months they stay on my shelf. Their selection is great, the staff is knowledgeable about their products, and they encourage tastings so that you have a full understanding of what you’re buying. As a side note, their online ordering process is very smooth and easy as well. They sell a great product. Keep in mind that they don’t pretend to be a fancy Italian, Greek, etc. olive oil producer, but focus on being artisans at flavoring their product — I overheard a debate on this topic while in the store. I’ll continue being a repeat customer.

What a great little shop! They have a bunch of vinegars and olive oils that you can spend as much time as you want sampling. The staff is extremely helpful and will explain how things are made, how they differ and the best order to taste. After tasting, our list was so long I had to pare it down quite a bit so we didn’t walk out of there poor. LOL The prices are higher than what you would pay in a supermarket, but there is no comparison due to the quality, flavors and selection. They also have some recipes around to give you ideas on how to use their products.

Educational AND delicious. Great for wedding presents! They have a tasting room with a wide variety of flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The olive oil is all extra virgin and cold pressed without the pits, and the vinegar is aged between 12 – 18 years, and all from Modena, Italy. I absolutely love this place, and its staff. Any time I need a really nice and unique gift for someone, I hit up Fiore. They ship nationwide aa well! :)

This place is outstanding. They have free tastings of all of their oils and vinegars accompanied by little pieces of bread. They have some of the most unique flavors of oils and vinegars I have ever seen. After tasting about every oil and vinegar they had… let’s just say I did not voluntarily eat anything oily for the rest of the day haha… I ended up buying their dark chocolate vinegar, which is mind blowing. I also bought their tuscan herb and white truffle olive oil. The white truffle oil was so good that we ended up mixing some in our lobster butter with some herbs. Hey we were in Maine. Whether you’re looking for a simple basic oil and vinegar, or something as unique as chocolate or ginger, this is the place to come. And it’s not overpriced!

This place is A-​MAZING! My friend and I sampled every single balsamic vinegar they had in the place. And call me naïve, but I had no idea there could be so much difference from one to another. And the staff there is very helpful, so do not be afraid to ask them anything. I could easily have bought bottles of half of what they had to sample… it was that good!

Wonderful oils and vinegars. Employees provide very helpful explanation on the offerings. Enjoyed some great Roasted Walnut Olive Oil tonight on streamed broccoli. Will certainly be back and am dreaming about the Summer Peach vinegar!

essentially a tasting room for olive oil and balsamic vinegar this place is not just for foodies only. tasting the oils and vinegars here was one of the highlights of our trip to bar harbor. the variety, quality and surprise of some of the pairings was fantastic. i never felt pressured to buy nor shamed for tasting every single thing in the store. the prices are not cheap but not ourageous. the quality is so high that it is worth it and i feel i got what i paid for. plus they ship!
