Charming local restaurant with excellent service and high quality food at very fair prices. The seafood, especially, was well prepared and presented. They have a fairly broad menu plus lots of specials for lunch and dinner. Great bartender, too. Cute woodsy gift shop attached.

Bar Harbor has a lot of great restaurants, this was not one of them. This place wasn’t clean, the service was slow and the food was average. We ordered an appetizer of calamari and it must have been from the bottom of the bag, because many pieces were just fried bits of dough with nothing inside.

I usually don’t take the time to write a review, but I want to make sure this restaurant is still in business when I return to Bar Harbor. The restaurant is easy to get to with lots of parking. I find Bar Harbor pricey for lobster, but I had a delicious lobster dinner with focaccia bread and marinara sauce, red roasted potatoes and fresh – not soggy – corn on the cob for $ 16. The lobster was hard shell with lots of meat and very little water. My husband had a perfectly cooked Angus burger with delicious homemade chips. Service was excellent, as well.

Very slow service. Grungy tables. Mediocre food with old frying oil tasting fish. Scallops were fair. Clams and shrimp were actually pretty good. Battered(?) fries were a no-go. My wife’s burger took almost 30 minutes, and they were not very busy. She liked the burger. It was served with home cooked kettle chips, which were good.

Surprisingly good. Go for the good food & terrific service! I was debating between two beers on tap. Waitress offered to bring me samples & said she had a third for me to try. Her choice was the best, so ordered the pint. Cannot remember anyone ever bringing me free samples of the beers on tap to help me choose. Food arrived very quickly. Lazy lobster was good, as was the cream puff & the blueberry crisp.

Ohhh, I didn’t realize they had just opened until now that I am going to review them. There is a lot of potential here. The menu is great, there is a lot of seating, service was prompt and thorough. The atmosphere could just a little pick me up, it has a great post and beam base… maybe some small white string lights and new lighting fixtures could do the trick. and soem music, the music was not on the whole time we were there. It seemed just a little depressing but with a lot of potential. The clam chowder was great! The lazy lobster was alright it WAS a lot of meat out of the shell, the melted butter was a little watery. The servers were friendly and helpful, but also possibly new to serving. I would like to give this place another try once they are more on their feet

Good was decent though there were errors in order. Service was not great, had to ask for refills, not very attentive to any tables as all around us were having the same issues. They were out of chowder.

Place was decent, but the service(Sean P) was the worst. Consistently bad. No offering of drinks. No water(after four requests). Charging adult for kid orders. No itemized bill. Not worth even going given all the options in the area. Plus a built in 18% gratuity. Garbage. Staff should fire this dude immediately if they want to salvage any rep of this place.

We came to Fiddleheads on the recommendation of a local tour guide. We were pleasantly surprised. An unassuming hole in the wall outside the traffic and crowded Bar Harbor village, there was plenty of parking and the food was excellent. We ordered the Lazy Lobster, homemade pasta with pesto, lobster roll and Filet Mignonette, all of which were excellent. The homemade Blueberry Pie ala mode was awesome. Service was quick and great. The prices were reasonable. I can’t say enough about this place and highly recommend it to all visitors and locals.

Great Bar Harbor experience! Homemade bread, pasta and desserts with locally caught, fresh seafood in a casual and friendly atmosphere! Sad I can’t dine here more often!
