Pleasantly surprised with this motel. The room was clean and spacious and a great location to Acadia and the town. Only complaint was the noise level of our neighbors, our room had a connecting door and you could hear EVERYTHING through it, I’m assuming they have a lot of rooms like this since they seem to be sectioned in two’s. Overall good stay and I would considering staying here again if I could get a non connecting room.

Exactly as advertised and right in line with our expectations. A short ride from the parks entrance this no frills no thrills establishment is a great mix of value and location. If you’re just looking for a nice clean place to relax and sleep after a day of hiking, biking, kayaking, or anything else the area has to offer this is the place for you. A nice clean establishment, with more than friendly staff, with an added bonus of continental breakfast(which is ideal to grab a quick bite before heading out for the days adventure) at a great price. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to Acadia.

I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. Very clean and spacious rooms. My wife loved all the nice soaps and lotions. We loved the breakfast, it was like a restaurant buffet with every thing you can imagine. The people are very helpful with anything, anytime. The layout is great, like and old style motel but completely updated with all rooms on ground level. You can park out side your door so no carrying everything down halls and up stairs. Did I mention the great breakfast Lol.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of August. This is a motel– style place, with very clean rooms, breakfast included, right on the Island Explorer bus line. 5 minutes from Acadia Nat’l Park entrance, 7 from Bar Harbor. Location could not have been more convenient. We left our bikes on the back of the car — free parking — very safe. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast was great. We’d stay there again!

Very clean, good location, nice hot breakfast included with your stay. Friendly staff. Good value for the area. Set up reminds me of a motel but it is perfect for a trip to Acadia Park. Would recommend. Nice daily treats in the lobby tea, coffee, cookies & popcorn.

Although a little ways out of Bar Harbor this hotel was excellent for the money. Room was well appointed and they were very clean, staff was helpful and friendly and the continental breakfast was great. One of the highlights was the hostess, Carol. She was very knowledgeable about the area and kept everything stocked for breakfast while a parade of people came through.

Really nice staff throughout the stay. The motel is the old fashioned rooms that you park in front of your door. Very clean and quiet. It is 10 minutes or so from downtown Bar Harbor, but still convenient. The breakfast lady is very friendly and remembers you each time. She keeps a clean area and is very interested in your stay, where you are going and if you need suggestions. The breakfast selections are great, especially the cheese omelet. Stayed 3 nights and had that omelet every time. We went for the cookies for a treat before we went back to our room and they were so fresh and wonderful. Knowing we are not ever going to return again, but will have great memories of this charming place. We did have a problem with our reservation. The staff fixed it so quickly! Again, if you are in the area, this is the place to go.

I stayed here four nights 5⁄10 — 5⁄14 and was very pleased with my experience. The hotel is conveniently located near Acadia National Park and about 10 minutes by car from downtown Bar Harbor. There was a delicious full breakfast every morning, eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast, waffles, cereal coffee and juice. Breakfast is prepared by the nicest lady, a local, who offers tips on places to visit while on the Island. They have fresh baked cookies and coffee every day in the lobby and a business center for guest use. It was helpful to print boarding passes and check in online for our departure flight. The rooms were clean, and nicely decorated. Our room had a small fridge that was spotless, a microwave and a safe. The hotel offers AAA discounts, which is a plus! I would definitely stay here again! As a random aside, on our last night there, we got a neighbor in the room next door who snored so loud that not only could we hear her through the walls; I’m convinced our walls vibrated a little.

Stayed here for a week. Free hot breakfast every morning until 10am, freshly baked cookies at 3p every day, assortment of coffees served in the lobby until 11p at night, wonderful and resourceful staff, right on the shuttle route that takes you straight to Acadia or Bar Harbor, and only a 2 minute drive from the park itself. My standards for cleanliness are *extremely* high and Best Western did not disappoint! Would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Pretty quiet this time of year. There are several separate buildings to stay in — all one story. The walls are a bit thin, but it wasn’t too bad.(Or the neighbors were just a bit too noisy!) Continental breakfast was standard, cookies in the afternoon were yummy. Overall, the price and cleanliness were perfect for what we were looking for — and we weren’t super far away from anything either!

I stayed at this Best Western in June for a week. Pretty standard, exactly what I was expecting. It wasn’t fancy, but it was well priced and it was clean. We did have some loud people staying next to us the first night, but there were a lot of kids there so that’s to be expected. A lot of families, probably because it’s so affordable. The continental breakfast is standard: cereal, bagels, muffins, hard boiled eggs, coffee. You are a short drive from downtown Bar Harbor and about a mile outside of Acadia. It’s not particularly close to anything, but it’s a short drive to get where you need to go. Definitely can’t walk anywhere though.
