Baycliff Cottages

This our fifth visit to Baycliff cottages, and it won’t be our last. We love it here!
Very easy access to Acadia, and Bar Harbor. The cottages are neat and cozy, and always well kept. Best of all we can bring our dogs. They have the run of the property and enjoy the beach and swimming in Frenchmans Bay. The Owner who lives in the main house Is a gem!
With sadness, we’ll be leaving soon but will be taking with us many fond memories, and we look forward to our next trip back.
Without reservation, I highly recommend Baycliff cottages for your next stay in Bar Harbor.

Baycliff Cottages are weekly rental units near the entrance to Acadia National Park, and downtown Bar Harbor. There are 2 cottages, the Guest House and the Pines but both are identical. Each has 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and dining area in one large space and a bath with stall shower. Be advised that these are basic but immaculately clean and comfortable. The owner lives on the property and is lovely, friendly and non-​intrusive. For many, the best feature is the cottages are pet friendly. When I say pet friendly I mean it, no silly rules about not leaving the pets in the cottage when you go out.
Each cottage faces the water, I think it is Frenchman’s Bay, and each has a deck with outdoor furniture and a grill. There is another deck, more patio like just above the water with a long stairway to the rocky beach. Maybe not for swimming but certainly for long walks along the edge.
The cottages are in a quiet neighborhood but a short ride from restaurants and shops. In the summer the area is serviced by free shuttle type buses which will take you into the park or the town.
I have stayed many times and whenever I leave I always make my reservation for the next year.
