Wonderful selection of loose leaf teas. And just beautiful none China tea cups and mugs, both Bar Harbor themed, and just beautiful ones.

Bar Harbor Tea Company was more a shop than a café. Only their most popular teas are sold individually. They did have one tea available for sampling and a honey. That did it for my companion, as she probably wouldn’t have bought that jar of raw honey if they hadn’t let her have that taste. I was looking forward to trying either their blueberry iced tea or chocolate chai, both of which were not available by the cup that day, so I was a bit disappointed, and thus the 3 star rating.

I’m a tea fanatic, so I was so happy to discover this place. They have jars of the loose tea so you can smell it to see if you’d probably like it. The Sweet Almond smelled so heavenly that I had to get it. It was tasty as well. I also bought a tea cozy. The tea pots they sell are expensive, but I didn’t need a new one anyway. They have a great selection of teas, including fruit teas.

Loved this little tea shop on the row of shops to visit! Their range of themed mugs were beautiful, their kettles top of the line, and I even picked up a stainless steel shell-shaped tea steeper(try saying that 3 times fast) to bring home with me. Many samples to smell and mints galore, as well as tea pots of varying sizes and a wonderful ambiance to visit. Highly recommend!

I felt like I should have been walking into my grandmother’s parlor after walking into Bar Harbor Tea; however, despite the animal mugs, floral mugs and other kitschy gifts, they actually have top of the line tea products including filters for kettles and to-go mugs as well as steepers with fun key-chains on the end. They also have a variety of tea flavors available for purchase from travel size to jumbo size(and they all smell amazing). Definitely worth popping inside if you are walking around town(they even have tea for purchase if you need to warm up).

This is a lovely little tea shop that hides a vast array of tea in its small confines. They sell loose leaf and bagged tea, teapots and tea sets, all very prettily packaged, perfect for gifts. Make sure to try their chocolate chai, the scent alone is beyond amazing!

If nothing else, go in just for the good scents of the different kinds of tea. Cute packaging and little odds and ends for tea.

This was a divine little shop. My husband and I stopped in and were greeted by wonderful staff members. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and the shop was warm and inviting. They offer a great selection of loose leaf tea varieties and tea ware. We sampled the iced blueberry tea and were blown away by the flavor. It was wonderful. We are not really tea enthusiasts per say but based on our visit to this shop we’re considering it as our next hobby!

Great shop with a vast selection of teas for every palate. The popular blueberry tea is sold in many sizes as loose and bagged tea so you can always find what suits your style. I loved how the shop set up samples to smell before buying. My only complaint would be that the spirited were a bit steep. However for the location and quality, the prices were on par. Overall a great store!

Very cute tea shop and friendly folks. I have my 4 lb chihuahua with me and was about to ask if they were ok with me brining him in. I didn’t see the sign that said«Please leave pet outside» at first, so when I saw, I immediately turned around to go outside. The shop owners stopped me and said to go ahead and come in since I had my chihuahua bundled up in my arm. I can understand that some shop keepers cannot allow pets in their shop due to what they are selling(food/drinks etc) and/or simple preference thing. So I really appreciated that they allowed for me to bring my little dog inside. They had very interesting selections and beautiful tea sets. I was looking for a cup and tea pot in one type set and found it in their shop. We also saw ‘tea bricks’ which was very interesting.

Great little tea shop. If you are looking for a good selection of teas in various price ranges, this is a great place to go. Their prices are designed for the high-end tourist on much of their wares. But, all in all, if you are there for a great selection of tea and a knowledgeable staff, this place will agree with you.

Very nice tea shop. Very informative shop keeper. Try the Rooibos chai tea. You won’t regret it. Also purchased the finum brewing basket for loose tea. Worth every penny. High quality tea.

Adorable little tea shop with very friendly staff. I was very excited to see that they carried a decaf Earl Grey, since my mom can’t drink caffeinated beverages but loves Earl Grey. They offer a few different sizes for each tea which are priced accordingly. A little pricey but it’s certainly not Lipton so you get what you pay for.

This is a little cute tea shop in Bar Harbor. They sell tons of teapots, tea cups, tea accessories, etc. and a good range of tea.(As a tea addict, it was a pretty small amount of tea.) The tea is prepackaged into set amounts and the packing is probably the nicest tea packaging I ever seen in my life(the tea packaging has changed from what the Unilocal photos are showing). Very tasty tea(Earl Grey Extra, Wild blueberry Green and Black Tea). I kind of had to take a star away for the guy who works at the store — he seems to be lacking knowledge for the tea in the store. When you ask him a question about individual tea, he can’t really give you a straight reply. So, if you are not familiar with tea, he’s no help. But, he is friendly!

My wife and I have traveled all over the world and have been to many different tea stores.(not sure why it got 2 star reviews) This store ranks with the best we’ve seen. We found the staff there to be knowledgeable and courteous. They helped when needed but also let us look around the store and smell all the teas. One of the girls working there informed us that Bar Harbor Tea Company also Blends their teas right in Bar Harbor. It’s a fun store to spend some time in. By the way the Earl Grey Citrus is now my favorite tea and I plan to buy more on their web site.

I really wanted to purchase something… I LOVE tea and all it’s accessories. Shouldn’t have been difficult, right? Wrong. Wound up with a plunger handled tea ball. Really didn’t want to leave empty handed…:(

This is not a tea room and too bad that they don’t serve tea to drink. However they have a nice selection of teas and many flavors that were quite unusual. Ever try Chocolate tea? How about Chocolate Chai? We ended up buying more tea than usual because the flavors were very nice and worth trying. It is a little pricey and costs more than I am used to paying in Seattle. But since we were travelling we really appreciated the reasonable charge for shipping so we did not have to carry anything back.

Just another tourist attraction with some tea options but mostly things to buy for those that don’t know the fine quality of teas that can be gotten elsewhere. Not a return visit option for me by any means but keep in mind I’m pretty harsh about tea quality so this may be more impressive for others.

My mom and I are HUGE tea fans. We stopped in this shop while wondering around Bar Harbor. They have tons of different types and flavors of tea packaged in really cute tins. I love the little magnetic tins filled with the tea above each variety that you can pull off the magnet, open, and smell. What a clever marketing tool. The store is very bright and inviting, and so was the girl working. My mom stocked up on a bunch of different teas for Christmas gifts, but I was too cheap, the tea is a little on the pricey side.
