I’ve ordered takeout a few times here. Great Indian food.

Certainly an acceptable Indian restaurant on the north shore but one can find a number of other equally tasty places at prices about 20% lower the Maison within a 20 minute drive. The Naan was good as were our dishes but we wouldn’t say any of them were exceptional. Service was fair. For Indian cuisine, I’ve come to expect a lower price point for Paneer’s, rice dishes and Tandoori cooking.

My counterpart and I stopped in here for lunch today. I ordered the paneer makhani and she had the vegetable thali — both were pretty good! My paneer makhani was delicious, she liked everything — she did say she makes her chickpeas better, but it’s to her preference. We didn’t have much time, so it was a rushed visit, but I’ll be bringing my husband back for some authentic Indian food. Btw, my counterpart is actually Indian from the Punjab region, so this food was like home for her. Very good choice, given I was picking it for her! She really enjoyed it and so did I!

Able to stop in for a late lunch so luckily it wasn’t busy and could get seated. Have a feeling that this place can get busy. Had a started(Indian fried cheese) which was really good. Came with great sauces and cooked very well. Then moved onto the mains. I had chicken tikka masala. Pretty amazing to be honest. It was cooked very well and the sauce was one of the best. Will definitely go back and will try the rest of the menu… but mostly likely will have the chicken again. Why mess with perfection.

Came here based on Unilocal reviews. This place truly deserves 5 star. You tell from the taste that Chef has prepared the dishes. The mint chutney was fresh. I had Saag Chicken with Roti and rice. The presentation and taste was awesome. The serving size was large. The place great ambience is very eclectic not your run of the India Restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was prepared as requested. Place has full bar. Very table has House Vindaloo hot sauce. Highly recommend this place. Thumbs up!

This modern indian restaurant has a very nice dining area and bar. The staff was friendly and helpful. Note, the curry entrée does come with rice, which is nice since some places try to jip you on this cheap grain.

I ordered for a hyderabadi biryani and this is oe of the horrible biryanis i have ever eaten. It tasyed nothing like biryani and none of the biryani spices were used and they never got me salan and raita with the dish. Even afyer i asked they refused to bring it !!! I would never ever go this place again.

Service was superb… but the food was meeeeh at best… maybe it works for the demographic… but i would rather drive to devon or gaylord in schamburg for some better and more authentic taste of indian food… the saag paneer was so mild and«lack of spinach» that it reminded me of the indian food i had in Paris(huge mistake to have french-indian food btw), the biyani was so creamy that i could hardly taste the spices, and the goat meat in the biyani… i wonder if they were processed goat meat since it doesn’t taste anything like you would get directly from a butcher… only good thing is i didn’t have to worry about walking out of the restaurant smelling like i just had indian food…

We had seen the sign for this spot a few times on the way to taking our pup to run around like a crazy beast at the dog park, so on a rainy Sunday without much planned decided to finally stop in for lunch. We wish we could bring our dog in so that we could stop here every time we go to the dog park! The lunch specials were a nice way to be able to try a couple of different items – my husband had the chicken platter and I had the veggies(I heart paneer!), and each came with rice, some lentil soup, naan and other accouterments. We’d definitely go back and would likely order the same lunch combo deals…(not sure if they do those at dinner time…)

The food was fantastic! They have great butter chicken, it’s not on the menu, but they’ll make it for you if you ask. The chicken curry was outstanding and so were the Samosa appetizers. If you are in the area, this is a great place to find some authentic Indian cuisine.

One of the best Indian foods I had around the suburbs. One that actually doesn’t burn your mouth with spices. Very flavorful, price is ok. Frequented by families and younger couples.

4 Stars. My interest in coming to this restaurant was 0%. I was scared that I wouldn’t like anything. I couldn’t pronounce anything on the menu, I hadn’t eaten those things before. But it was all good. Waitress took care of us, guided us through the meal, everything tasted great, good presentation. I will be back. If you have any hesitation about trying this place out, just do it.

Easily the best Indian in the North Shore. The décor and ambience are very pleasant, with a small candle at each table. Lovely place for a date night. The service is friendly and attentive. We started with an order of Samosa for the appetizer: two large, fried Samosa that were a little greasy(no surprise there), but good. If you like cuminy, potatoey goodness, you ought to enjoy it. We also ordered Garlic Naan, which we thought paired amazingly well with the Chicken Tikka Masala, which my husband thought was great. If you enjoy lentils in any form, or even if you’ve never tried lentil, I highly recommend the Dal Makhani — it’s totally Indian comfort food, delicious and filling. Minus one star only because, $ 14 for a lentil dish? C’mon guys.

Holy Moley! If you don’t like Indian Food than this exactly the place for you. And if you love Indian food but don’t like the stigma, than come on by. Even for the very average American palate, this food is to die for! I’m serious! Not enough wonderful things to say. From the service to the food to the décor… All is perfect. This is a plea from a non-indian food lover and resident of this area; please try Marigold maison for yourself and let’s help a non-traditional establishment trive. I promise, you will not be disappointed. From beginning to end… Perfection. And remember, I don’t love Indian food but I now have a unfettered love for Marigold maison. Kudos to the chef! Keep it up!

Not your typical Indian restaurant. Kind of a modern décor with an open view into the kitchen. Tried the samosas, which were dry and under seasoned. Also tried the chicken tandoori — Cornish game hen in spices served on a hot plate of onions and green peppers(ala fajitas). It was dry and desperately needed a sauce. The dipping sauces it came with were all wrong — the green chili/cilantro/mint chutney served with papadum, a sweet plum sauce, and something that resembled a tzatziki sauce. It needed something that more resembles a tikka masala sauce. I will say that I liked the spices on the game hen. It was a bit messy to eat though. Didn’t care for the fajita-like accompaniments. Mango lassi was good — not too sweet. Service was fairly inattentive for a slow weekday night. Also didn’t like the«everything» response when I asked what was good and was looking for a recommendation for something different. Overall, everything was good, but left me unfulfilled.

We made a return visit to Marigold Maison and both my wife and I were very impressed with the staff and the outstanding food, If you have never been to this restaurant they will walk you thru the menu, which was very helpful. I would give this restaurant 5 stars six if I could. The server was Sara who was excellent and Sergio was very helpful. I would highly recommend Marigold and look forward to a return visit with friends and family. Thank you, Sergio

Everything perfect! One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to! Ordered the CHICKENTHALILLUNCHPLATTER. Wonderful presentation! Filling portions. It comes with CHICKENMASALA, CHICKENSAAG, LENTILSOUP, RAITA, KUCHUMBER, BASAMITIRICE, ANDNAANBREAD. The chicken Masala was tender and spiced with a little kick. Chicken Saag with creamed spinach was great. The lentil soup has a hearty and smokey flavor. Beautiful and very clean dining area– open with good lighting. Attractive décor and pictures on the wall. Very professional and attentive service. More expensive than the typical divey grab and go Indian buffet but well worth it. Definitely recommend and will be back.

This place is LEGIT! Service was fantastic. We ordered paneer tikka which was this DELICIOUS seared Indian cheese with a bottle of their rose– where the proceeds go to a shrimp tikka masala, garlic naan, masala dosa, gol guppa, seared eggplant and chef Sunil Kumar came out to ask us how things were. We felt very VIP! Love this place :) we will def be back!

This place was quite a delight. The restaurant has slipped into the premises of a Mexican place that in my opinion had gone quite downhill. The new restaurant has climbed back up the mountain with very good Indian food. The décor is subtle colors with interesting ceiling/sky treatments, with a spacious and relaxed dining room. They have outdoor seating as well. We ordered some new and some usual(for us). Everything was good. Our waiter made a point of explaining the menu and was comfortable sharing his view of favorites and what each plate was like. Quite helpful. The most unique for us was the rice crêpe which you could add items such as shrimp to. One thing to note is that the portions are very generous and might best be viewed as shared for two. Plus, while not on the menu, a Naan basket of multiple types can be ordered – the garlic one was the best at least from my perspective.

I have only eaten at an Indian food restaurant once before. So, this review is not a comparison of Indian cuisine. Marigold Maison is a new restaurant near my house, and I’m always interested in trying new things. After dining there last night, I can say I’m happy they’re here, and look forward to visiting again. Our waitress, Sarah, knew the menu really well and made excellent suggestions. The staff was friendly and well-trained. Most people were eating outside but we dined at a window seat, in the air conditioning. The seared tofu was amazing, the cold drinks from the full bar perfectly mixed. If you are new to Indian food like me, I would suggest giving Marigold a try. We ordered a bit too much and took some home to enjoy next day and it was just as delicious. This restaurant met every expectation and introduced me to a new cuisine. Thank you Marigold Maison, see you again soon!
