Look. It’s a statue. Of Paul Bunyan. It’s meant for selfies and FB updates, and not much else… so stop by and take a pic with the big guy! OH! Local tip: If you go to the gas station to the left of the statue and stand right to the left of the gas pumps, the handle of the shovel in Paul’s left hand will peak out a bit over his right fisted hand – giving the impression that he’s giving you the finger. JUVENILE? Yes. But we were delighted to discover it.

As someone else stated, don’t go out of your way for this landmark, but if you’re already driving through the Bangor area, it’s worth a stop just for the photo op. The statue is at the Cross Center(arena) across from the Bangor Daily news and just off the highway.

It’s a giant Paul Bunyan statue randomly on a main drag in front of an office space and across a casino. Pretty cool for a photo op if you are in the area, but don’t make a trip out of your way for it.

Noticed that this was an attraction. For an out of town-er, it’s more of a place to take pictures to me. Good: –Great picture to take –Clean and well maintained Bad: –Parking

Interesting and random statue of Pauly B., there is construction all around the statue so you can’t access it still. in 60 years i’d be curious to see what they put in the time capsule at the base of this big mother huncher.

A strange, giant statue across the street from the local casino. Typical. It just makes me remember the Paul Bunyan Disney short.
