We went on Valentine’s weekend and expected great service and delicious food. Service was not so great. Our reservation was at 745, but we were not seated until 8. All the staff were rushing around the quaint space, but it did not equate for swift service for us. We ordered several dishes, that were small in portion. Yes, the food was delicious, but the wait was long. We did ask for the manager who told us they started a new menu that night. He was gracious and gave us our drinks and several dishes for free. The night ended with great customer service on a very chilly night.

This is probably the best restaurant I’ve ever been to in Baltimore. The service is amazing and the food is amazing. It is right on the water. This restaurant is A++++.

Came here for Sunday Brunch. Got a beautiful waterfront view from our table on the outside patio. Menu was not that extensive. Food was reasonably priced though. I got the cured ham and hash, which was delicious. My friend got the chicken and waffles, which was even more amazing. The Chesapeake Mary cocktail was awesome. Just the right amount of spicy, and Old Bay on the rim.

Simply amazing! The view is beautiful, as you would expect it’s on the waterfront so if you are dining outdoors in the summer or request a table against the window for a special date. The food was all delicious from soup and salad through dessert. Our group all had an amazing meal. The only note I would make is that the ambience and dress are not super casual. We were wandering all day and felt out of place not wearing a collared shirt. The staff treated us no differently and was very attentive but if I go back I’ll be dressed a little nicer.

The same four of us returned to Waterfront Kitchen(2⁄2016) after four years and multiple changes in chefs and menus. Things are better but… the service was very slow, the food arrived tepid — warmish but not hot — so we were disappointed. Nevertheless, the Seared Warshore Scallops were very tasty as was the the sliced Roasted Pork Leg. The cauliflower«steak» was outstanding! While the Butternut Squash Soup was fine, the Roasted Mushroom and Ricotta Ravioli was quite salty. The wait staff was wonderful and did somewhat make up for the faults. We received complementary wine(Rodney Strong Cabernet 2013 — Sonoma) and Muscat as an offering. We ended the meal with a very nice Apple Crumb Cobbler and Carrot Cake desert. The view and setting remain excellent.

I’ve lived in Baltimore over 5 years and this was probably the single worst dining experience I’ve experienced. If I had been held up at gunpoint for $ 100, at least if have a better story tell. 2 hour wait for entrees, small portions, mediocre food. I had a good experience for brunch but the empty room for dinner should’ve been the first sign to turn the other way. This place stinks-avoid at all costs.

Seven of us for dinner on a Friday night. Three would come back, three wouldn’t. First, the staff is very friendly and accomodating. But restaurants are about the food, not the great view. I’ll comment on three of the dishes: Pan Roasted Duck Breast Pan Roasted NY Strip Roasted Pork Leg Each of the meat dishes are served to the table pre sliced. The duck was ordered medium and came out rare. The vegetables on the plate were good, however, the rare duck was unappealing. My son ordered the Roasted Pork Leg on the deal that if he didn’t like it I would switch my plate with his. I ordered the NY Strip. The pork leg came as a sliced pork loin and was not edible. Management disagreed, but it tasted spoiled. Management was kind to remove it from the bill. The NY Strip was ordered medium and also came out rare, but also cold to the touch. The plate was ice cold and so was the beef. Because it is sliced in the kitchen, they had to know it was ice cold and rare — not medium as ordered. My son ate most of it but had to excuse himself to the men’s where he thought he would be ill. I sampled the veg from the three plates. Overall, we did not care for this food, but give nice reviews to the staff. One knock for the staff is the young man in charge of refilling the water. Please do not come over every time I take a sip to refill the glass.

Amazing food, ambiance and service. Had the best wine ever … cinq-cepages Château St Jean. Food was delicious, specially the starter — roasted marrow bone :)

I came to Waterfront Kitchen for a post-wedding brunch, so I was about hung over enough that I was both repulsed by food and exceedingly hungry. I think many of my friends were in the same boat, and this place was just right for a relaxing, head-on-the-table-if-necessary buffet breakfast.(My husband, who doesn’t like eggs, requested that I move my plate of food as far away from him as I could manage while still sitting next to him.) The space was lovely, big enough for several people to drop off luggage by the bar, and for numerous children to run around without bothering anyone. We were outside for the most part, taking advantage of the first clear day of the weekend. The restaurant was right on the water, so the view from the patio was gorgeous. There was a simple buffet set up with some scrambled eggs, bacon, and fruit. I ate some of each. The eggs were pretty delicious, scrambled soft and creamy, and I enjoyed the crispy bacon. I drank tons of water and ate probably more fruit than eggs and bacon. There was some cantaloupe and watermelon, both of which seemed like good ideas. I imagine most days are not quite so nice for dining al fresco at Waterfront Kitchen, but I was happy to stop in on this beautiful morning for some easy socializing and refreshment. It was a great spot for a large group brunch, and the view of the harbor was a nice piece of Baltimore to grab on my way out of town.

Myself and a friend went here for lunch. The food was lovely, the view beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The manager Chris was particularly attentive and explained all about the different drinks on offer to us. We had a lovely time and will definitely be visiting again very soon.

I really don’t get the so-so reviews of this place. For the Fells Point area of town, I don’t know of a better restaurant right now. The views alone give this place an early lead. We went their for dinner. It was amazing to sit out on the harbor boardwalk with the sunsetting and famous Domino Sugar factory across the water. To add to the views, the food was very solid farm-to-table options. The pricing is bit much, but I survived it well by taking multiple small plates for a meal rather than a single more higher priced entrée. Many of the staff are locally hired through city placement programs and add a great community-oriented feel to the whole place. I look forward to going back. No waterfront option downtown has better food and service! One caveat on some of the other reviews. A lot of folks are discussing brunch-like food which makes me think the restaurant may be less stellar for brunch. I look forward to sticking to the dinnertime options!

I came here for a private event called«Wine on the Water» in order for you to attend this event you had to purchase a ticket in advanced. I believe this was a out side promotion company who planned the party with the assistance of the restaurants event coordinator or manager. I have a few issues with the set of this event. first of all there was not enough seating or space to hold the event with the amount of people who were there. I believe people did not have enough room to maneuverer and with this restaurant’s lower level patio being so close to the water(which does not have a barrier in place) I felt there was a huge liability in place. I mean the event was called«Wine on the Water». People are obviously drinking and there isn’t enough room to maneuver and you’re very close to water, that spells disaster in my opinion. Second issue: I didn’t want to wait in a long line that also was way to close to the waters edge, to purchase a drink. I walked inside the restaurant and was immediately told I have to order drinks outside. I asked the gentleman why am I not allowed to order inside and he told me is a dismissive manner«its a 20 minute wait to get a drink inside, we’re too busy … sorry. Sir it’s a 20 minute wait outside as well and I should be free to order where ever I want if I’m paying for it. In a passive aggressive manner I watched him turn away others from ordering at the inside bar, as if we weren’t allowed to patronize the inside portion of the restaurant, which was fairly empty by the way then it should have been noted. That alone left an extremely bad taste in my mouth and I am no longer interested in anything Waterfront has to offer.

So I thought the girls and I were going to Waterfront hotel(which I love) but no it was Waterfront Kitchen. Which I was fine with b/c even though I’m from Baltimore I had still never been here. It was a group of 5 of us and we sat outside. The view is lovely and the restaurant is a nice space. All in all it was okay. The service was slow but our waiter was nice enough and the owner even brought us an order of fries(which were delicious) on the house because we had to wait… Also two of the eggs Benedict’s were cold. I ordered the scallops and grits. It was amazing. Everything I wanted. We also did the bottomless mimosas which were good but $ 20 is a bit pricey for Baltimore, especially when other places have it for $ 10. All in all I give it a b+ for my meal but a C for overall because of the service. I’d go back for dinner b/c I hear its delicious as well…

Very cool, somewhat raw-esque space on the inside and a lovely patio outside on the waterfront. I’d vote for the deviled eggs. Not only were they delicious and interesting(done three ways) but the presentation was top-notch. I had a fish(skate?) over white beans which was awesome. They also do an appetizer that is basically ham, eggs, and grits which was insane. Fun for date night. Friends. Business colleagues. (which I guess about sums up everyone)

I love their view at the sunset! Unfortunately, the view is the only thing I like about this restaurant. They did not have a valet parking for dinner on Thursday so we had to parking in an adjacent lot and they do not validate parking. The host and servers were friendly. I had tried their happy hour and dinner and absolutely nothing stands out. I would recommend this place for a drink to enjoy the view but not for a full meal.

I really wanted to love this place for a few reasons. One because I got married in the building. Two it has one of the most beautiful views in the city. Alas the food doesn’t match up with the view. Cocktails while good are similar to most farm to table restaurants. I’ve been here several times. Happy hour on the patio is worth it. Dinner, not so much. The servers did a really great job. They just need some backup from the kitchen.

The only way I can describe their food is as a culinary love affair. I ordered the rockfish and my fiancé ordered the tuna, and both dishes were absolutely splendid! We sat outside by the water and the view of the Baltimore harbor was incredible. Away from the busy streets of Fells Point you get a chance to revel in the industrial beauty of the waters surrounding this city. The only critique I have is that the food took far too long arrive, other than that we loved the service, the ambiance, and especially our meal. We will definitely be returning soon!

The sun was setting and the rays made the shiny water surface ripples sparkle. I looked across the Inner Harbor at the iconic pink fluorescent Domino Sugar sign and it made me smile… or maybe it was because I had a nice dinner companion. We were sitting outside on Waterfront Kitchen’s deck watching the joggers pass by below near the edge of the pier. I have run past this restaurant a ton of times, but on this particular evening I was relaxing and sipping on a Summer Colada. Waterfront Kitchen takes pride in their infused liquors. My refreshing cocktail was not as sweet as your normal piña colada. It was made out of young coconut and fresh pineapple infused rum, coconut milk and served on the rocks. Dinner was fabulous. I tried the Springfield Farm roasted half-chicken with fresh herbs, roasted cauliflower and gooseberry gastrique. It was quite delightful. There is nothing like flavorful organic chicken. The Truffle-Saffron Risotto was also delicious and served with carrots, fennel, black truffle and Firefly Farms chevre goat cheese mousse. It was a weekday and there was only one or two other tables sitting outside on the deck with us. It was as if we had our own private service, which is neat if you’re high maintenance and need your water glass filled every two seconds, but it seemed like the wait staff was awfully bored and just wanted to enjoy the sunset and great weather with us. I had a very sweet time and I’m quite fond of the place especially because I’m still dating the same guy that took me there for my first Waterfront Kitchen experience. I’m going to try to hit up their happy hour next time(Tuesdays through Fridays from 4 to 6 pm at the bar or on deck). I’m sure that’s a more sociable crowd. I also hear their brunch is pretty good too.
