Wasserman & Lemberger

The is the best kosher butcher ever!!! The meat is so fresh! They sale things that no one els have! I love this guys! I really do!
And its start from the little things like hotdogs — yhe hotdogs! They have the best hotdogs — even better than in Israel! (and im from there :)
They even have sweetbread!
Next time you planning BBQ please stop by her — i promise you that you won’t regret.

My mother heard through the grapevine that this place makes «South African-​style» biltong (jerky) and droewors (dried sausage). What a disappointment — the biltong was exactly like typical beef jerky — wet, oily, hard, and in no way anything like biltong which is dry, never cooked, and spiced with pepper, vinegar and coriander. The droewors likewise was oily, the flavor very un-​South African, very salty, hard and full of whole pepper corns which you can only imagine break open when chewing the sausage. I decided the only good use for these products was to slice them into thin pieces and use them for doggie treats. Not having tried the store’s other products, I can only imagine that there are lots of fine products but the store should be cautioned — their «South African-​style» products are very UN-«South African».

I’m a vegetarian now, but I can still say that Wasserman & Lemberger has good quality meat, decent prices (for kosher food), and lots of selection. They make beef jerky and aufschnit, which are hard to find kosher.
The only things that were off were that I went in their once and the floor had TONS of blood on it — EW! I know it’s a butchers shop, but sheesh, they’re not slaughtering the animals by the cash registers.
Unfortunately, I’ve had friends who have gone in their wearing pants (these are women) who have said that the cashiers are unfriendly to them and gave them higher prices.

Good meats but they need some type of customer service system. Waiting and waiting and waiting. And now they won’t take a phone order. I guess it might be time to go elsewhere!

Best kosher beef jerky in the USA!!!

I’m not going back here. This was the second time I’ve bought turkey cold cuts and after 2 days they start to ooze this slimy substance that renders them unedible. This combined with the salami experience is forcing me elsewhere to buy meat.
