This place is the best part of having a connecting flight in Baltimore! A bit high end, but it’s nice to have a quality selection to choose from, as well as several flight(wine that is…) options. Also nice to have a food selection that isn’t chain or fast food but actually something you would get at a wine bar. The staff is also very helpful in making selections.

This place is exactly what you you need stuck in an airport with a delay! The wine list had depth, a bit steep but better than that $ 9 pretzel! The food is fresh and the service is quick and friendly.

Excellent place to stop at an airport. Generous pours, nice wine selection and quality food. 3 steps above what you traditionally find in an airport.

Decent selection of wines. Service was very good and the small plates hit the spot. Brie, chicken and the salads were all tasty and made for a light lunch prior to departure. You feel like your a world away from the hustle of the airport. Until a screaming child goes by «Yes, another glass of Cabernet, don’t mind if I do!»

Ordered a sample of the Willamette wines. The first pour was maybe, literally a finger pour. I would estimate less than 1oz of wine was actually in the glass. The second two pours were significantly smaller than a third of the glass as advertised and the wine smelled like glass cleaner. The cheese and meat plate was beyond disgusting. The only thing I can compare it to would be maybe lunchables, however that would be an insult to lunchables. The bar tender was oblivious and unhelpful. Number of patrons sitting next to me didn’t receive their food that they ordered and the bar had to comp the meal.

Unimpressive. We tried the truffle penne pasta. It was not very flavorful and extremely small portion for the price. The little restaurant is nice for an airport. Order glasses of wine or a small flight of 3 for tasting. A single glass of wine can range from $ 10 – 25. On avg 15. Our waitress was nice. But I would not come here again though.

Good for a quick bite to eat but the truffle penne was a little insipid to me. Nice casual atmosphere and the waitstaff was ok. It was also very tiny portion for 10 bucks so be prepared for that. There’s about 15 tables so I imagine you might not get one during busy times.

I love this Vino Volo! This location specifically is located in the«a» terminal and has an amazing staff. It is like you were in an airport and then suddenly step into another world. Very comfortable atmosphere with several spots with plugs and spacious seating area. Menu items are prepared fresh whether you want cured meats, fresh cheese a sandwich or something sweet and most importantly they have wine to go with it all. Good wine can be found here as well as wine elders that provide a good understanding of the flavors to expect free of charge. The menu changes often and it offers a great selection of wines. This will be my spot every time I am stuck at BWI!

For airport food, it is an excellent choice. Fresh and much healthier than other day food. Great wine with excellent food.

Had a 4 hour delay in my flight. Looked up Unilocal to find the perfect place to dine and relax and it did not disappoint. I had the lamb meatballs, arugula salad and tomato bisque with wine of course. Everything was delicious!!! Service was great, not crowded and the food was excellent! Definitely a to go place when in BWI!!!

Love this spot. If it weren’t located in an airport I could see myself there everyday. The friendly staff remembers me and my preferences. The wine selection is awesome and the food is surprisingly tasty.

Fun possibly slightly overpriced place to get q drink and some food in the airport. Wines are kind of on the pricey side. Good starters are the olives, the Marconi almonds and the cheese plate. Another good choice is the prosciutto and Brie sandwich, which you can also get to go and eat on the plane which I often to. Another place that you can get a decent drink and a bite at the airport without feeling like you are at the airport.

Leaving from BWI to Raleigh, North Carolina, only takes about an hour flight, however, the check-in sand security process at BWI is very time consuming and therefore, I tend to always get there 2 ½ hours early. With this said I had a lot of time to venture around. I was super excited when I found out that Vino Volo was inside BWI. I love wine and consider myself a huge wino. The bar was a bit crowded and the«outside patio» was a bit cramped, so I sat on the sofa chair in the middle of the restaurant. I was IDed and selected the 2013 Swartland Chenin Blanc Secateurs which was $ 14.00 a glass. The wine had hints of pear and honeysuckle with an orange tang. Definitely yummy. This place is heavily overpriced and the wine selection isn’t the greatest. But I rather have a wine bar in an airport with quality wines than pay for a $ 9.00 budlight(to each is their own).

This is such a nice option for some airport eats if you have a bit of a wait for your flight. On the A concourse, at the end past all the Southwest gates and beyond the food court, down some stairs, you’ll find this nice little refuge. Several wines by the glass, as well as a menu of small plates. The prices are reasonable($ 7-$ 10 per glass for most wines) and the food I’ve tried has been tasty. I’ve had the lovely tomato soup, as well as a plate of crackers and spreads. It’s very relaxing, the servers know their product, and in my experience it’s rarely overcrowded. I hope it’s doing well, because it’s a major perk of flying through BWI.

This is not my favorite vino volo… Salad was over dressed, pasta was over cooked. Server was rude– when I placed an order for the Cellar Club tasting, she said(as I was reviewing the menu) ‘you have to order something else to get that’ #1– if I’m looking at the menu, asking about listed food even, wouldn’t you think I’m going to order? #2– even if you thought I wasn’t, you could ask more politely #3– I looked at the cellar club policy and see no such rule.

I smiled secretly to myself as we walked past the long line at Chipotle. We had just enjoyed delicious tapas style eats with great service at Vino Volo in less time than it would have taken to get through the Chipotle line, order, wait for our meals, then find a spot to eat. I had always thought that Vino Volo was just a wine bar and subsequently passed it by dozens of times while searching for a quick meal between flights. This time, however, my hubby and I stopped in to check out the menu and were pleasantly surprised by the food options. We sat at the bar and ordered a charcuterie board, roasted chicken salad, marinated olives, and pork tacos. Everything was delicious. It was just as overpriced as any of the other airport restaurants but much tastier and much more enjoyable to watch the bartender polish wine glasses than to stand in line waiting for a bag of food. The roasted chicken breast salad($ 10) consisted of mixed greens with goat cheese, pine nuts, dried cranberries, and a tangy herb vinaigrette. The roasted chicken was seasoned nicely although nothing too impressive. Overall, the salad was delicious with quality ingredients. You won’t find an Elaine-sized Big Salad like the one on Seinfeld, it’s tapas style so the portion size is slightly smaller than a dinner plate. We also ordered the charcuterie board($ 17) which served various cheeses, artisan meats, jam, roasted tomato, bread, pickles and pickled okra, apricot and a few nuts. One of the servers asked if we wanted more jam which we did, and she also brought us a few more slices of bread as well. The cured olives($ 3) were tasty as a snack. I had to remind myself that it was an airport wine bar so I shouldn’t expect a big bowl like a bucket of free peanuts at Roadhouse where you throw the shells on the floor. Although I do seem to remember complimentary olives at other bars. Ah well, for 3 bucks, they are worth a try. My hubby’s pork tacos were tasty along with the sauce. No complaints there. Great service, and fast. Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food. Solid 4+ stars, but probably 5 when compared to the other restaurant food options at BWI.

I struggled with providing a rate of three. While the location is great the service and food are just ok. The wine flights are a great deal and a welcome respite in a loud, busy airport. You’ll find this spot in the A6/A11 corridor. Best characteristic is the quiet! I had the«Shades of White» and was very pleased. My salad was a disaster, the roasted chicken breast salad, which, when I read it, sounded perfect for what I needed for lunch. I ate about 3 bites and asked for some Marcona almonds. I have to say they were pretty tasty and I wished I had ordered them in the first place and skipped the $ 11 salad. Wine good. Get a snack. MAJORUPDATE: I just received my check, they comped my salad, good prevails and this takes this place up a notch !!

This is a neat little wine bar in terminal A at the airport. They have a lovely selection of wines, a small selection of appetizers and small bites to eat and drink. I had the Mac and cheese which was yummy with creamy white cheese, truffle oil and golden breadcrumbs. Delicious! For the travelers, the inner tables offer plugs to recharge your electronics at some tables. The chairs are comfy and the staff is nice. We went twice during our layovers.

Ok remember this a wine bar that serves food, not a food joint the serves wine. The wine selection is decent nothing to write home about. Since your an airport everything is super super over priced. A bottle of Marcassin is not over $ 200. You can find this for less than $ 100 if you are familiar with wine. Oh yeah if you decide to buy a bottle add 12% for premises fee. Yeah whatever.

As far as airport venues go, Vino Volo is my favorite spot(I used to fly out of EWR a lot, and loved stopping there and bringing a bottle of something yummy wherever I was flying — since is PAST security you can buy bottles to bring on board). They always have a selection of unique wines and flights so you can taste them prior to having a glass of anything. Check in on gate guru and you get a free dish of olives. best parts? 1) comfy chairs 2) electrical outlets 3) edible snacks 4) bottles to go 5) friendly good service(in any location I’ve been) Downsides? 1) semi-expensive(a flight of three tastes is $ 14 – 18, glasses 10 plus) but it IS in an airport… so everything is expensive 2) the foods are hit or miss(can’t go wrong with cheese plates, almonds and olives — some of the other items are meh)
