UMBC is truly a great university and I am proud to be a part of the community. The campus is very clean and I always feel safe. The faculty is all very well-​qualified and the classes are very challenging yet rewarding. It is clear to me why UMBC is considered an honor’s university. I believe that a degree from UMBC will do wonders for my future. I would recommend that anyone looking for a higher education visit UMBC and learn more about their programs. The slow side of the administration is the same as almost any university. I will miss UMBC when I graduate in the spring.

The Information Systems degree program is challenging and fun. I’ve had a great time in just about all of my classes at UMBC and I’m looking forward to my last two semesters. The school is very rigorous in it’s academic programs and the departments expect performance from the Undergraduates. I’ve got two more semesters and I’m looking forward to the challenge.
Of course they have issues with some aspects of University Administration; however, this is pretty well expected in any large institution. So, I just shrug that stuff off.
Most of the students I’ve worked with have been very bright and motivated to succeed. The campus is enjoyable and low-​key. Apparently the kids who live on campus are pretty straight laced — I’ve yet to hear about massive parties on campus.
If you or your kids are looking for a great educational experience, you can’t go wrong with UMBC. At least check them out and choose for yourself.

Great university, great academics, great relationships with professors. Some students like to run around with nerf guns but to each his own.
