We used Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Great choice! My children ordered the chicken chimichanga. One didn’t care for the red sauce, but it she finished over half. I loved my steak fajitas. The guac was simply amazing! Large portions with enough left over for lunch tomorrow.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to tacos. As a Texas native we know tacos and such and the food is decent. Not amazing but I’d go back eventually if I’m craving tacos. I was surprised at the prices up here in balt. Tacos down south are $ 1 – 1.50/taco but that had nothing to do with this place specifically. I got a torta and the meat was decent not chewy but could use more flavor. Still all in all its decent and that is good by other standards.

Credit where credit is due… although these aren’t my favorite tacos, this joint still has a lot to offer. We have ordered from here several times(taco diet) and have branched out our orders to the nachos and the burritos. The nachos are a must-get. So good! They used a bit of the move theater style nacho cheese and we weren’t even mad. The rest of the toppings were premium. The burrito sizes were on scale with Chipotle, or maybe a bit bigger. Lots of meat. On our last taco order they included cooked cactus with the usual veggie array of radishes and cucumber slices. It was a nice, adventurous touch. I guess they serve it when they have it. We might ask next time :)

One of the things I miss most about my time in Latin America is the fresh fruit juice that’s available anywhere and it’s one of the things I wish we had more of here. Luckily, I can get my fill of fresh pineapple juice at Tijuana Tacos and they’re not messing around with the serving size either. My car’s cupholders can’t handle it all. I know people come here mainly for the tacos– which are the best authentic tacos I’ve had in Baltimore– but I’ve been known to drive 10 minutes just to satisfy a pineapple juice craving. More than once.

This place is the definition of «hole in the wall», which is where most of its pros and cons derive from. Seriously, walking in you feel like your’e in Tijuana itself, which can be both a good and a bad thing… The food is good if you get the right thing(most of the tacos, flautas, tortas) and so-so if you don’t(enchiladas). The service is non-existent — don’t even try calling ahead to place an order for pick up, if you’re not there it’s as though you never ordered and it may not go through, something I had to learn the hard way when I showed up hungry for my pick up at the appointed time and was told they hadn’t made it yet. Of course, pick up is your main way to eat there — there’s one or two tables under the ambiance of the fluorescent light. I did say this was a hole in the wall, right? Could be worse, could be better, A-OK it is.

Love. Their. Tacos. Although the interior and cooking space might not be the most impressive at least you know exactly where the food is coming from. They cook mostly on the grill top in the restaurant area and I just love their tacos. If you like rice, give their beans and rice a go. They give grilled onion bulbs with the tacos and although they weren’t my first idea of a side dish, they’re so greasy and good!

THIS.IS.SO.LEGIT. Having had just moved to Baltimore from LA, we were skeptical of any«Mexican» restaurants on the east coast and have been disappointed with the last 10 restaurants we visited in the city. Well our spirits have been revived thanks to this place. No words, just praise and full bellies. Had the carne asada tacos and burrito and excited to try everything on the menu. Authentic authentic authentic– coming from two huge taco snobs. Its pricier than we expected($ 10 for a burrito and $ 3.75 for tacos) but so is a plane ticket back to LA for a binge eating weekend.

I love their food. I went to Mexico for a semester long study abroad and fell in love with REAL tacos and Mexican food and now really try to find the most authentic places that serve Mexican. This is that! I would not hesitate trying one of everything on their menu– but I end up always getting the same thing: their tacos al pastor. Yum! I’ve also had their chicken flautas, guacamole and tres leches cake. All good.

Found this through Unilocal,we were a bit skeptical about the location and first impression. But the staff and patrons were very friendly. The place is little small and got crowded pretty quick, we waited about 15minutes before they took our order but I guess they were busy because it was a Saturday night. Another 15 – 20 minutes after that for food to be ready. Food was yummy and spicy. We had the chicken burrito and chicken/beef tacos to go. Was well priced too for the portion size. We have it on our keep list. Will definitely be back soon.

The people who work here are ridiculously friendly. The food is phenomenal. It’s not exactly the most pretty place to sit down and eat, if that’s something that matters to you, however it’s very authentic. The tacos are delicious. All of them. The burritos are huge, and amazing. Get an agua every time you order. They’re like 3 bucks for a liter, made fresh, and made from actual fruit. The cubana is gargantuan, and will change your life. Don’t let the look of this place scare you. Every thing is made in house, and its all amazing.

My heart was a wee bit broken after the Tijuana Tacos on Fleet Street closed down. The food was so scrumptious, so authentic, and so darn close to my house! After hearing the news of their demise, I asked myself, «How can I go on? What is left in a world without Tijuana Tacos?». But behold, a light from the heavens shone down, and a new TT in the form of 3 appeared in my Unilocal results! Huzzah!!! I ordered the standard nachos, which were a pile of chips, cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, onions, and tomatoes big enough to feed a small army, followed by the Al Pastor and Spicy Meat tacos. You kids weren’t playing when you raved about these Al Pastor tacos. They are phenomenal. Tender, perfectly spiced meat with little bits of grilled pineapple. I’m usually not a savory-sweet kinda girl, but damn these puppies are delicious! The Spicy Meat taco, as always, pleases the palate with crispy and tender pieces: forever a go-to from this place. Reunited and it feeeeeeels so gooooooood.

There’s a certain genre of joint that you go to for the food but are completely scared pantsless when getting your food. This is one of those places. Tijuana Tacos 3 is a dive, plain and simple. It quite honestly looks like it has about three billion health code violations, and the overall image is one that should be avoided by every restaurant on the planet. Needless to say, there are bars on the door, and virtually no-one speaks English. The tacos were excellent but, unfortunately, I decided to err on the side of adventurousness and mainly get a fajita platter, which was simply underwhelming. It was under-seasoned and bland in a terrible way — and they forgot to provide tortillas to boot. I ended up more or less choking down bland grilled meat with very little flavor — not a pleasant experience. Still, the tacos here seem to be the main thing to go for, so I’d definitely stick with those.

Tacos were delicious. Price was right. A little too spicy but with sour cream it’s just right. Their guacamole is great too!

I have been dying to try this place as I’ve lived in the area for a while and have heard really good things. What I got: 1 chicken burrito, 1 carne asade burrito, pico de galo with chips. Pros: Food was very fresh. Chips were SO good. Thick cut and really crispy! Cons: The salsas that come with the burritos and the pico de gallo, was SO spicy. The seeds are left into the peppers when they cut them, making the salsa extremely spicy. So unless you LOVE really SPICY things, skip this! I don’t know that I’ll be back, it was just OK.

Similar to some other reviewers, I checked out Tijuana Tacos 3 after seeing a number of regular Unilocalers had given it solid marks. I wasn’t disappointed! Went for lunch today, and ordered three tostadas– two al pastor(marinated pork) and one carne asada grilled beef), and a side of beans, to go. I agree with the numerous reviews about the food being on the pricey side, as my order was over $ 13 with tax. When I got home I was surprised to see the container with the beans also included rice. Both were pretty good, but the stars were the tasty tostadas. The hard tortilla and meat were topped with beans, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes with a little sour cream, and they were delicious. I actually enjoyed the beef a little more than the pork, which I didn’t anticipate since others have raved about the al pastor. Both the red and the green salsas had a nice but not overwhelming kick(a la some at Taqueria el Sabor del Parque). Have to admit I was stuffed after refusing to not finish the tostadas– they were that good. Meanwhile, I ate most of the beans and a little of the rice. It was definitely more of a dinner potion than a lunch-sized meal, and if I were going for lunch I’d either cut back by one tostada, or better yet skip the beans and rice. I’ll be back, and can’t wait to try some other stuff!

If only they had margaritas! I came on the recommendation of helper Unilocalers. My order: guacamole with chips, chile rellenos. I was hoping so, SO hard that — for once — somebody could cook me some rellenos. The answer? Unequivocally, yes. The batter was excellent, cheese tasty, sauce was interesting — and even the peppers themselves tasted great. I am so thrilled! The black beans had an excellent flavor and were cooked well. The texture was exactly right. The rice was seasoned well — mix it with some relleno sauce and eat it all up. Guacamole was limey, which was… good. I prefer a bit of a stronger cilantro flavor in guacamole, but I did like it a lot. The chips are thick and crunchy. They’re great for dipping since they’re sturdy enough to load up. Service was fast. I got my order to go, it’s kind of a squeeze in the divey restaurant. I know I’m coming back. I’m very satisfied for a first visit.

Delicious authentic Mexican food, prices aren’t cheap, but portions are really big. I have had the spicy beef burrito and the steak platter, both were delicious. Would be five stars if the price were cheaper, food quality is definitely five star Mexican as the ingredients are fresh and delicious. For example, my burrito today when I got near the end of it I turned it over and most places a pool of grease would drip out, here not a single drop. Grab a table inside(there are only a couple) and the waiter will bring you chips and fresh green salsa while you wait for your food.

Wow! I was shocked at how good the Al Pastor meat is… It is marinated pork and is super tasty. I got it in a burrito and it was huge and delicious. Surprisingly not messy at all, in fact it was one of the nicest put together burrito I have ever had. Burrito came with rice(little under cooked, but edible) and two small salsas, one red, one green. They weren’t amazing, kinda wish I got sour cream too/instead. Also got a side of guacamole and chips(because I had to get over the $ 10 delivery minimum) and holy cow! I’m never going to be able to finish this tub of guac! It’s very fresh tasting and has a kick to it. Really good! And you get your money’s worth for sure. My only complaint is the chips… They are really, really thick… Too thick. I realize they are homemade but they just are too much. I think it takes away from the taste and texture of the guac. I actually wish I had a bag of tortillas at home because it would be so much better. Overall, I agree with everyone else that it is pricey and can add up quick, but check out the pictures I posted… You get soooooooooooooooooo much food. It’s kinda ridiculous and totally worth the money.

I reallllyyyy wanted to like this place. I had to call twice to put in a delivery order. The first time they put me on hold and just forgot about me. I hung up after waiting for 6 minutes. We were determined to eat Mexican food so we called again. We were finally able to place our order. At that point it would of been nice if they let us know that they were busy and that the kitchen was behind. We waited an hour and 10 minutes before finally calling to check on our food. They said it was on the way. The delivery driver must of been walking or crawling because 20 minutes later he showed up. I don’t blame him for the delay though. The Food: The guacamole was watery and a weird texture. It was fresh enough tasting but different than what I wanted. The chips were homemade, but half were crispy and half were stale and soggy. The pico de gallo was fine. We ordered the carnitas and the carne asada tacos. The meat was not dry and pretty flavorful. The green sauce was nice, but the red sauce was gross. The tortillas were fresh. Overall, I wouldn’t return here unless I really wanted Mexican food on a Sunday when the other place is closed or if there is a hurricane/tornado/apocalypse and you have to order from here. Otherwise, stick to tortilleria sinola. It’s less expensive, fresh, and just as good. Oh and you can be eating in less than an hour and a half which is generally a good thing. Don’t offer delivery if you can’t keep up with the demand. Just saying…

I have to admit that although I am not surprised by the 41⁄2 star rating of this place… I am particularly surprised by how many people have reviewed it. My new roommate and I are Mexican food lovers, so we thought let’s Unilocal the area and see what we can find. Tijuana Tacos had rave reviews so we decided to take a stroll and get some tacos. Upon arrival, I was surprised to see that it’s exterior was a bit rundown and could totally turn people away. But let me tell you. the food is so totally worth it! The chips and salsa(FRESHSALSA) was delectable. Just the right hint of salty/fresh combination. I ordered a taco salad which was amazingly delicious. It was a huge portion, with a heaping pile of Avocado. If anyone here is an avocado lover, you know that most places are pretty sparse with their avocado servings because it can get expensive to buy. My roommate had the pork burrito, which was soaked and marinated in some sort of juice. The service was super friendly and I rather enjoyed eating that entire taco salad! Don’t let the cover of the book fool you, because this place will blow your mind! WAIT… and I just found out. THEYDELIVER?!
