I’ve never ordered delivery from here so I can’t speak to that but I get take out from here pretty often. They get my food done fast(my lunch is 30 minutes long so I call in ten minutes ahead) and it’s always really crispy and decent portion /appropriately priced.

Standard neighborhood Chinese carryout. Always had been ready when they say. Look into ordering the combination platters which come with pork fried rice and an egg roll for about $ 7.50-$ 8. Decent Chinese for the area.

I am sooo disappointed in my «go to» Chinese delivery. The quality of the food has changed drastically in the past two years. I was hoping it was a temporary slide and they would get enough complaints and turn it around but no such luck. Last night was the final straw. Once the best combo fried rice I’ve had, loaded with bbq pork, huge shrimp and pulled chicken is now a container of disgusting, artificially colored yellow rice without peas or onions and two or three tiny, old stinky shrimp. The egg rolls have been reduced by about 1⁄3 the size. The hot and sour soup, seriously out of balance. Just plain hot and no sour. Skimpy on the condiments and not one fortune cookie in a $ 35 order.

My girlfriend and I have probably gotten sun hing about three times a month for the past year and haven’t had a bad experience once. Bad day at work? Sun Hing! Dog peed on your bed? Sun Hing! Blizzard and you have to work from home? Sun Hing! God bless them.

If there was an option for zero stars this place would get it. I waited over 2 hours for delivery, called two times to find out where the food was, and the woman who answered the phone has no idea what is going on. The foods always just okay and nothing special to even just try it once. Definitely not worth it.

Really do like the food here, but delivery took over an hour and came cold. Very disappointed.

Yes this place isn’t the best, but what do you expect. It’s normal fast carry out for a Chinese restaurant. My roommate and I order this place when we’re hungover and want food we can sit and eat on the couch. We get the shrimp friend rice(nothing out of the ordinary, but still good) and the general tso — same thing, now amazing but not bad for the price. I also get their egg rolls — not going to lie they could be better, but again this isn’t high class Chinese food people. Lastly the only real problem with this place is it seems a little dirty! PSDONOT try the wings — those things are nasty, but I only have myself to blame for trying wings at a Chinese restaurant.

Anger and disappointment has brought me out of retirement to write a bad review! I’m not sure where these 5 stars are coming from but maybe they live nearby and carryout. I will be reviewing their delivery service and food quality. I honestly don’t know why I keep ordering from here. Maybe its the thought of ‘how can they mess up general tso’s?‘ Yes I’m asian american and I love my chinese carryout joints but when a restaurant crosses that sketchy line when it comes to quality control, people must step up and get it shut down. I honestly believe the dirtier and the more holes in the wall, the better the Chinese place– but this place is absolute $hit. As you can see in my pics below, the general tso’s delivered to me tonight tasted like no other general tso’s i’ve ever tasted in my 20 some years of eating general tso’s. I may be going to far but they might’ve used some other kind of meat. I know what chicken tastes like and that was not chicken. I do remember boycotting this place for trying to overcharge me at the door but I must’ve forgot that this was the place when I placed my order today. There’s my $ 15 rant. Thoroughly upset watching Game 2 of the NBA playoffs without a decent chinese carryout meal.

I’ve lived in Federal Hill for 11 years. I’ve tried every Chinese restaurant in the area, and out of the area. Yet I ALWAYS end up back at Sun Hing. Their lo mein is incredible, along with the General Tso’s, and many other things. A little bummed they don’t still give out free soda anymore, but such is life.

I’m not sure why this place has gotten such low reviews. I’ve ordered from here plenty of times and have never had any complaints. The food is great and the service was friendly. It takes a few minutes for them to make the food, but so does every other place that cooks good food. All in all, this is a wonderful choice for Chinese food in fed hill.

Not even worth being called«mediocre.» First of all, the food took almost an hour and a half to come from Federal Hill to Locust Point on a Thursday night. When the food finally came, despite being starving, we couldn’t even finish a quarter of it. The«chicken and shrimp» meal consisted of about 3 pieces of shrimp and some giblet-looking remnants of what may have once been chicken, but at this point was more soggy mush. The vegetables were watery and lacked any discernible flavor. The shrimp toast was excessively greasy and over-cooked. The egg roll was the only thing that was edible, and even that tasted like it was almost stale. I will say they deserve a single star as opposed to zero stars because they gave us a free soda with our meal… presumably for washing your mouth out to cleanse the awful over-greased, under-loved«food.»

They were ok. Fried rice left a lot to be desired and their chicken is weird and slimy. The General Tso’s wasn’t very good but nothing was completley inedible. Their crab rangoons were actually really good but don’t forget to ask for some sweet and sour sauce to go with them

The chicken here is awful. It’s extremely rubbery, and doesn’t even taste like chicken. Stay away from this place.

Ordered lunch specials(chicken curry and sha cha chicken) couldn’t even eat it because the chicken texture was so gross. It was limp and I would think it was raw of it weren’t white.

«Free delivery in Dinner Harbor» proclaimed the door stuffed flyer. Take them up on the offer, because Sun Hing is FAST. We used to put them on the clock in Fed Hill. Damn, if that the delivery guy wasn’t knocking on the door by the time you killed your beer, something was wrong. This place is cheap, greasy, with a scary store front; just what you’d expect from a Sobo Chinese spot. The solid food could compete with the best of intense Chinese Carryout competion on Greenmount. English challenged, yes. Best Chinese call in Federal Hill, yes. Best Chinese in Dinner Harbor, hell yes.

Overall, it’s good not great. It’s quick, pretty cheap, Chinese food. The crab rangoon was pretty disappointing, but not the worst I’ve had. The hot and sour soup was decent. The General Tso tofu was actually pretty good. No fortune cookies though!

This is pretty good Chinese food at really good prices. It’s right around the corner from my house so we frequently see the owners. They are always so sweet and sometimes come outside the restaurant to give my daughter a cookie when they see us walking past. The service is excellent and they always get our order exactly right. They offer delivery as well.

I wanted to chinese food for dinner but didn’t want to leave the hotel room. So I found this place here on Unilocal and decided to try it. Ordered the Beef with vegetables, hot and sour soup, and an eggroll. All for $ 11.95 and the portions were HUGE! Quick delivery too!

A bang-for-your-buck place. If you think Americanized Chinese fast food is good, i.e., Panda Express, then you will love this place. I mean, this food is not authentic Chinese, but the food is inexpensive and tasty. This is actually one of our go-to spots in Federal Hill when we do not want to cook. I always get my standard large Garlic Chicken dish($ 7), and at Sun Hing they make it right! The garlic sauce is very tasty and the vegetables are fresh and NOT frozen. The veggie low mein($ 7 large) is also a solid choice especially when I add a little salt. The General Tao bean curd is also a winner — mainly because the sauce is good. Do NOT get the fried eggplant — over fried. NOTE: You get a FREE side of fried rice when your orders are over $ 15.

I ordered dumplings and Kung Pao chicken for delivery. The dumplings were quite good. The noodle wrapping was thick and cooked to an al dente level so it didn’t fall apart when dipping in the sauce. But I judge a Chinese restaurant by the Kung Pao and this was terrible. The sauce was thin and didn’t have much flavor. It didn’t even have a hint of spiciness despite being marked as a spicy item on the menu. The dish was loaded with large vegetables which might have been a good thing because the few pieces of chicken were fatty, slimy things they should have thrown out. Did someone else get all of the good chicken chunks? There was a small handful of peanuts that were thrown in after the item had been boxed in the carryout container. I suspect they made the wrong dish(Hunan chicken, maybe) and rather then fix it, they tossed some peanuts in the box and sent it out the door. 2 stars is being generous but I reserve 1 star for food that’s inedible or I had to walk out. This was edible, just very bad.
