Made the change to Sprint from AT&T — cut bill in half deal too good to pass up. I am hoping my experience with the Phone service is better than my experience at the store. One mistake after another; never a call back; two weeks to get phones; billing error… Store Manager said He would get me a credit for all the hassles — never did… try a different store

Terrible experience with both this store and with the Sprint network downtown. I’ll keep this review, however, more specific to this store.
We went in to have the store try to fix an iPhone that was not connecting to the Sprint network. We made the mistake of not having the phone backed up through iCloud (yes, our mistake) beforehand. We had photos backed up, but not the contacts.
The store associate offered to back the data up there and said they would have to wipe the phone and reload the saved data when it was fixed. In the midst of this they also pressured us to upgrade to an iPhone 6. We didn’t want to be rude, but we avoided the upgrade several times and said we wanted to wait. Given our problems with the data network downtown, we knew we were switching as soon as the contract expired. But since they had our phone and data, we didn’t want to be bashing Sprint.
After they wiped the phone, we were told they could not fix the phone. They said a local Apple store may be able to fix it. We asked if they would still have the data for the phone to be backed up the next day if we returned with a working phone. They assured us that we could return the next day with a working iPhone and replace the data.
The Apple store in Towson verified the next day that the phone was broken. We were able to upgrade to AT&T and the iPhone 6 but called this Sprint store before doing so to make sure we could still reload the data. They said yes, they would have the data and would be able to back up the phone. So we switched contracts and headed back to the store.
As soon as we walked in, one of the associates rudely explained that the data was gone. Again, a huge mistake on our part not to have it backed up on iCloud, but we wouldn’t have had them wipe the phone without backing it up ourselves if they hadn’t ensured that the data would still be available. Throughout the process they said that they would have the data available for us to load to a working phone.
While we weren’t concerned about data privacy, the manager at that store and the guy at the Genius Bar at the Apple store later explained to us that the Sprint store wasn’t even supposed to load our data onto their computers and they certainly weren’t supposed to keep it overnight. If they had stuck to that policy and had not assured us the data would still be there, we would have gone home and backed up the contacts data before trying to resolve this. In hindsight, we should have never gone to a Sprint store to begin with.
We were told that it would be $ 50.00 to cancel the account, even though we were eligible for an upgrade. $ 50.00 didn’t seem like a big number, so we were fine having to pay that. We were glad that we didn’t. After purchasing a new phone from the Apple store, and signing up with a new carrier, we called Sprint to cancel the plan and make sure that we didn’t owe any additional money. Sprint said that we owed the last month’s usage, which was fair, and no money on top of that. The $ 50.00 that the Sprint store wanted us to pay them to cancel our plan seems like a lie. Save your money and time. Go anywhere else.
The staff was extremely rude, especially one woman in particular, and they were in no way helpful.
Please go to the Apple store, and don’t even think about trying to get assistance from this store.

Had to visit this store 2 times in 1 week and I will absolutely never be returning.
My IPhone had a broken screen and, because I pay the monthly fee for insurance, I took it into this repair location to get a replacement. Initially, the representative told me that I was eligible for an upgrade. I asked her for pricing options and availability. She told me I could «get any phone in the store for under $ 50.» Once again, I asked for prices. She still didn’t give me an exact answer, but I agreed to upgrade since it seemed like a good deal. Only after the paperwork was printed and I was about to sign was I told that today I was only paying for the SALES TAX on the device and I would pay the full retail price monthly over the next 2 years. Completely misleading, and completely out of my price range. 10 minutes wasted.
The reps could not figure out how to fix certain things on my phone, such as how to turn off «Find my IPhone.» I suggested googling the answer, which was successful. Why should I, the customer, have to come up with solutions?
They couldn’t figure out something else and sat there dumbfounded until I asked what the next steps would be. How is it possible that I am the first customer to walk in the is store with a broken screen? They lacked urgency and initiative.
The worst part was the attitude I received from the woman representative resultantly. I showed no sign of annoyance up until this point, but the way she spoke to me caused me to change my attitude as well. It even resulted in the manager taking over the transaction.
After that hour and a half ordeal, I went back today to pick up my replacement device. Long story short, I was in the store for 2 hours. 2 hours to activate a phone?! Completely absurd. I will never return.
