Wow, where to start with this place. I’m not even sure what to think of it. Let’s start with this: Shoppers World is sort of a lower-scale version of Ross or Marshall’s. I don’t know if they’re all like the one at Eastpoint Mall, but the one we visited today had a lot of, uh, «urban» style clothing — Baby Phat, Apple Bottoms, Akademiks, that sort of thing. If Dr. Jay’s online went out of business, these are the kinds of prices you would see. I didn’t see any item of clothing priced over 7 dollars, which is actually kind of a good deal, when you think about it. If you wear this kind of stuff(I don’t, really, so it wasn’t to my taste). They also have kitchen gadgets, linens, baby items, etc. Like I said, a much cheaper version of Ross. We did snag a nice piece of American Flyer rolling luggage for under 30 dollars, though, which can’t be beaten. And we’ll probably visit again, but be aware that this store is simply not for everyone. If you don’t wear or aren’t familiar with brands like Baby Phat or Coogi, you’re not going to be as appreciative of this place. They desperately need more help, though — checkout was very slow and painful(only 2 cashiers and a VERY busy store). The associates that were there were pleasant and helpful, so that’s a start. Not awful, not great. We’ll probably visit again.
