I’d give this Sears a half star if possible. Why? Because they’re actually located where they actually say they are, but that’s the only positive thing about this store. Oh, except for one older woman downstairs in the tool section and she was trying to be helpful and get the right person. She really deserves better coworkers. A friend and I went in knowing exactly which model of exercise equipment we wanted to purchase. One hour and a few minutes later we left, irritated, because the sales person took more than 30 minutes to even get to us on a weekday, midmorning when it wasn’t that busy and after going through a lengthy and annoying experience to simply for the thing(he wasn’t even sure how to explain the warranty and needed help from a supervisor several times which added to the wait time), after some questionable business practices. What was questionable? Well, after providing a sears credit card and confirming the account details because we used a card to get an extra discount, the sales guy apparently required the account holder’s social security number! What?! Who gives their SSN to a store clerk to confirm an account or make a purchase? Is this 1920? Are we really that far behind the times, Sears Roebuck? Yes, you deserve to be called by your entirely whole full name. Screw that, the clearance price was decent but I’ll pay more to not have this hassle. We left. I cannot suggest that anyone shop here unless you are bored or need an annoying adventure.

Just awful in all phases of the game. The pick-up service is a complete joke. I have picked up on many occasions and they have never met their 5 minute guarantee. When they finally show up, the clothes dropped off have always been the wrong size. When I bring the clothes inside to exchange, the attendants don’t seem to know what to do with a return with a pickup receipt. On other occasions, I’ve had pick-up orders cancelled without notice to me. When I complained, the customer service rep told me that they cannot guarantee that I will be refunded and suggested that I dispute my purchase on my credit card. Everything about this Sears location and Sears as a whole company(don’t get me started about their home serviced dept) is awful. The company seems like a relic of earlier times that is out of its depth in the internet age. Some day Sears will go the way of Montgomery Wards, Ames, Best, etc. Until that day, I will continue to shop elsewhere.

So I bought a set of 11-piece ¼″ ratchet set with socket. It was made in USA, but the plastic case is made in china. It is a craftsman brand, and everybody is prompting how great US made items are so I was rather thrilled to have a tool set that is made in US and want to test the water. That was 2 months ago. I only used the set twice, and the ratchet will only turn one direction now. I took the set to this Sears, since it’s rather close to home. The warranty on the plastic case stated that«lifetime satisfaction guaranteed». I wasn’t satisfy with this broken ratchet, which I only lightly used twice. The associate is guy around my age, dark hair, all slicked back. He looked for a refurbished one in drawers behind the counter. However, he couldn’t find the exact one. So he came back and told me that he can’t give me an exchange. They do not have a refurb ratchet. I would have to try my luck and come back another day or try a different sears store and take my chances there. I was shocked by this so called, «lifetime warranty». This basically means their warranty is useless, it has no value at all. I went back the second day and a different associate was there. She said that associate with the slick back hair did not tell me the full truth. They do have to replace it with a refurbished one, or they will repair it. I select repair and waited for 30 mins. When it came back, there were no repair done to it. Whoever claimed to repair it only added some grease onto it. And still only turns 1 direction. This associate finally gave in and honored my warranty by giving me a new one. Seriously? This is how they honor their warranty? I rather go to Harbor Freight tools. They literally went to the floor and gave me a new tool right off the shelf, but sears and their craftsman can’t do that? How sad! Why in the world would I want to buy any craftsman tools again? They warranty is worthless!

Had to return a pair of boots i received as a gift. I did not have the box or receipt. They kept refusing to return or even exchange them. But once they heard i was FIRE/EMS. The MGR said well we can give you 25% OFF a new pair for your inconvenience. So i was kinda mad at first but the mgr offered that. So i just purchased a new pair of BATESBOOTS and walked away satisfied.

I cannot even begin to describe total CLUSTERPHUCK ordering glasses has been! This is an update to my previous review about the Optical Sept at this Sears. While I am happy to report that my glasses as promised were delivered the day after the last review 18 days from when I ordered them… it doesn’t end there. I just cannot believe that I have to report that the lenses were installed WRONG. When I picked up my glasses and put them on for the first time, I informed the manager that there was something wrong and that my vision was blurry. He remarked«That it sometimes takes your eyes a few days to get used to a new prescription» I said that was BS my vision isn’t bad enough to have a drastic swing in prescription and that the old RX sunglasses I had with me I could see better out of them and they are close to 8 – 10 years old. Due to the fact that I had my sons with me and I had to get back across town I wasn’t able to stay and argue with him. He told me to try them for a few days and that if they weren’t correct to let him know and they would see about another eye exam if needed. Well after a day of trying to see through the blurred lines… Something told me to flip the glasses upside down… Yes put what should be my right eye lense on the left eye and vice-versa… Well I’ll be damned. I can see clearly now! So not only did it take over 18 days for me to get my glasses that should have taken 7−10… I now have to take them back and have them sent out AGAIN for goodness knows how long for them to try and fix the problem.

We have visited this store since our bad experience with ordering & returning an item. We had to visit several departments within the store & we were greeted each time with pretty good service & attention. We were looking for specific items(tools, mainly) & the young man who helped us out is the reason why I am updating my review. Although my bad experience with them before was pretty darn bad, sometimes, places, people, & things deserve a second chance. Glad they didn’t fail me again.
