Got food this time. Footlong coney, double cheezeburger and split an onion ring with the wife. Two large drinks. So much better than sonic or DQ! Well worth the drive from Pickerington

Schaffer’s Drive In is a Baltimore landmark since 1959, and I first went there in 1979. It is family owned, and the Schaffner family goes back generations in Baltimore. Everything is fresh and delicious, and service is fast and friendly. While they have a full«Drive In» menu, they are know for their ice cream and shakes. There is counter seating available inside, but most enjoy outdoors at one of their picnic tables. Im a fan.

I was in Baltimore to meet a client at the Library. The library was closed, but that’s another story. We ended up on the picnic benches outside of this place. I went in and got an amaretto iced latte concoction… it was delicious. No seating inside, and it’s not a «Drive Thru». You must park and walk inside to order. Great«old school» feel, a real community treasure as you can tell with all of the baseball team photos, etc. on the walls. Great place to stop for a «treat» while in Baltimore!
