I’m a Ruth Chris fan, and this location gets an enthusiastic thumbs up! Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere… I’m that person that goes to a steakhouse to have fish, so on my last visit, I had the Spicy Salmon with Crispy Shrimp… soo gooood… and yes I closed my eyes and inhaled as I thought about how good it was. Their side offerings, mostly vegetables and a lobster mac & cheese, are simple but fresh and very well prepared. The desserts are a perfect happy ending… perfectly sized. Ruth Chris can be a little pricey, but it’s worth it… at least this location. I’ll definitely be returning.

The best Ruth Chris I’ve been to so far and hands down the best in Baltimore. The service impeccable and steaks were very tender and melts in your mouth. Make sure to ask for extra butter !!

OMG! What a great restaurant. They really were amazing! It was a little chilly where we sat and would have preferred to experience a booth as a first time rather then table but we didn’t ask about that or tell them so that’s on us. The oysters are incredibly yum! We were celebrating our 18yr wedding anniversary with friends. The steak and dessert were just all out of this world. Would definitely come back. There was a bachelor dinner party there in a private room near our table that was pretty loud and boisterous. Not fun at all but they still keep 5 stars because they handled that for us.

What can I say? Nobody does tenderloin better. Ordered the same dishes as last year… everything was awesome. Looks like this is becoming an annual tradition.

We were there last night. Service was really not good, not attentive. The manager and our first waiter apologized, and they comped me an appetizer and two beers. They were nice, but the service is really bad. I told the waiter that if someone gets out of his chair to find you, you ought to know that you are screwing up. I won’t get into the details, but I was hungry and thirsty, and it was all the waiter’s fault. When you are spending a lot of $$$, you kinda expect at least decent service. Wnen the manager reads this, she will know exactly who I am. Again, they are nice, but I am going to stick to Capital Grille. Last time I ate tat The Grille, they did everything right. The place needs a rehab. The music is like elevator music from the 70’s.

I came here and I had the steak. It was underdone(i mean really raw and I ordered medium rare). It was not as flavorful as I remember. It was just okay. I would not go out of you way to come here, but if you’re in the neighborhood already, it’s fine. But it’s not an outstanding place by any means.

If you like steak and are in the mood to celebrate or Salsa dance, this is the place to go! Though pricey, the steaks come in very large portions and are still sizzling on the plate as it is brought out to you. Every bite was juicy on the inside, crisp on the outside, and well seasoned. If you go for dinner, you can go upstairs to Havana for free to Salsa dance(usually costs ~10 $ per person).

This was my first time at Ruth’s Chris and I have to say I was very impressed. Outside of having to wait an additional 30 minutes after our reservation time everything was nice. The greeters were extremely pleasant and accommodating. Our waiter Joshua was very nice, although at times he was a little hard to find, but overall he did a great job. I ordered two 4 ounce filets with shrimp. Sides are alcarte so we ordered the lobster and Mac n cheese and asparagus with hollandaise sauce to share. The filet was the best steak I have had in a long while. Lobster Mac n cheese was tasty but I wouldn’t give it 5 stars, doesn’t mean it wasn’t good though! Oh I forgot we had the mushrooms stuffed with crab for an appetizer, they were a bit on the salty side but we enjoyed them nonetheless. We plan to make Ruth’s Chris our annual Valentine dinner!

You just can’t go wrong here. The food selection, wine selection, food presentation, overall restaurant cleanliness, attentive staff and the large dessert selections prove that you will have a great date night or night out on the town if you visit Ruth’s Chris. Also, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is the only place in which the servers know how to pour wine correctly in Baltimore. Seriously, not kidding! I even got to keep the cork =) During my last visit my server was able to help me decide on what to order for dinner based on portion control. I am someone who can’t over-eat specific foods and tend to get sick a lot. Therefore, any server who steers you clear of a more expensive side due to portion control and your picky taste buds is a true people-pleaser in my book.

You’re not going to have a inexpensive dinner here but the food is excellent. We both did the 3 courses for $ 60 special. I thought the ceasar salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. The filet and shrimp were delicious. Mac and cheese wasn’t my favorite because it had some heat to it and I don’t love spicy things. Dessert was pretty average. Also unfortunately the bar wasn’t able to make the 2 types of cocktails we initially ordered so we went with wine instead. Overall its a beautiful restaurant for a special occasion with delicious steak.

We ate at Ruth’s Chris to celebrate my girlfriend’s promotion. This restaurant is a great location for special occasions; the hostess greeted us with congratulations when we checked in based on my comments from the Open Table reservation. The food was very good. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer, the porterhouse for two, and sides of onion rings and asparagus. The asparagus was the only disappointing thing we received as it was overcooked and bland. I would also love to see a sauce paired with the onion rings as opposed to nothing. The steak was cooked to a PERFECT medium-rare and was delicious — this is what really matters! I would also suggest making a note on your reservation to not be sat in the bar area; when we were first brought to our table we were sat at one of the few tables surrounding the bar. This area did not have the same feel as the dining room that you would expect from a Ruth’s Chris(e.g. tile floor, televisions, etc.). Upon requesting a table in the dining room we were immediately accommodated at a very nice table for two. We will definitely return to this restaurant in the future based on our experience.

Came here because I received two $ 50 gift cards for xmas from my medical friends. Decided to get carry out. Parked out front in valet. 100% FREE. They waived the $ 10 fee for me… Ordered a few crab cakes with sides. The crab cakes while a little small. Was the best I’ve ever tasted. Also the sides were very good. Lastly. I got a free drink at the bar. A Shirley temple. So that was good also… Very high class place. With a strict dress code. A+++++

We come here often for the happy hour at the bar. The burger is actually decent, and the patty is made in house. Add some bacon and it is infinitely better! The chicken Caesar salad is delicious, as the chicken is roasted, well seasoned, and packed with flavor, not the pre-packaged, flavorless cubed stuff on salads at big chain places. The berry mojito hits the spot, often end up getting a couple of them! FYI there is a dress code. Don’t wear shorts or they won’t let you in.

Had a great time here last night, It was the first time for me and my wife. The atmosphere was great for conversation. My wife considers herself a steak connoisseur and the only reason i think she didn’t say it was the best she’s ever had was because she didn’t want to insult my grilling abilities. I was surprised at the pricing for everything only because I thought this was a chain restaurant. The location within the city and the curb appeal did not prepare me to spend over $ 150 for two people. I’ve had my fair share of fine dining so when I saw that a cocktail was going to cost $ 14 and up, I was excited about how delicious my Moscow Mule and her Margarita was going to taste… However, for $ 14 a glass, you can afford to get a copper cup and serve it the way it is intended or name it something other than a Moscow mule. We had to ask for salt along the rim of the mimosa glass the margarita came in, twice… Our server, David, was extremely polite and professional. He was well prepared to explain the entire menu and the specials. The way he described it all made me want to order it all at once. Final Note: Bring the prices down at the bar, or bring the attention to detail up…

Amazing as always! As always– the food was amazing. And the service impeccable! Your classic steak house food done perfectly. We were there for restaurant week last year… our waiter(who’s name I wish I could remember) and the rest of the staff were perfection– anticipating your every need before you even know you want something– but never annoying about it.

Went here to celebrate someone’s birthday and they had been to this location before. It is located near Rams Head Live(walking distance) and there is parking available — Valet Parking by the restaurant was $ 10 and there is a Parking Garage around the corner on Frederick Road that is $ 10 after 6pm(weekday); A second Parking Garage is located on Water Street near the restaurant as well. As we entered the restaurant, the host that greeted us informed us that they had a coat check(good to know) and so a few in our party checked their coats; they also have a mirror too, so when you leave, you can check to make sure everything is in place. We then were seated in an area that had about 3 group tables, but the lights in the restaurant are dim and so it was VERYHARD to read the menu. We struggled, but in the end was able to manage and order a few appetizers — Lobster Bisque(those who had it said it was salty on this visit — tasted fine on past visits) and Lettuce Wedge(portions are massively huge). For entrees we had Spicy Salmon Crispy Shrimp, Stuffed Chicken Breast(was told this was delicious), Porterhouse for Two(by just looks, it could feed 8), Sweet Potato Casserole(tasted very good, but can be shared between two), Fresh Broccoli(plentiful, but hard — was told that it must not have stayed in the water long enough) and Alaskan Crab Legs(some of the shells were soft, but others were already cracked open for me, which is a huge plus as I did not have to struggle so much in trying to access the crab meat). Melted butter was provided for dipping the crab meat and it was in a little dish over a lit candle so that it stayed warm the entire time I ate. The food took a long time to come out, but we threw those thoughts out the door because the service we received from our waiter was on point — Excellent Service. This was my first time at this location in Baltimore, but it was my third Ruth’s Chris location in a month and their food has always been great on each visit.

This was my first time visiting this location and it was just OK. The staff seemed distracted and not as polished as the other locations I have frequented. I was attending a business mixer that night in Power Plant so I needed a quick bite to eat so I sat at the bar. The bartender was very nice and polite and was on point, I ordered my food and it came out prompt and was just OK as well, nothing to write home about and I recall not being overly satisfied as I usual am after leave a Ruths. I had a ton of options that night and I chose RC based on my prior experiences and didnt not feel the atmosphere, warm vibe from staff and food were a good example of RC. I most likely would not go back and next time would try something else based on this visit.
