ISonic has failed 3 times in less than 2 years, capacitors. I sent it in last month, and it got lost. In the mail? At Polk? doesn’t matter, the unit sounded good when it worked, but to have this much trouble with a product, I wouldn’t recomend it. Don’t buy Polk Audio Products: The following is from my request that they pay for shipping because they moved. I was already told that return shipping & handling was free by Art, and the service charge is $ 35 plus parts. So basically they are blowing smoke… not what I would call customer service, unless it’s called«bad» customer service. I have a unit that has failed 3 times in 2 years, cost me over $ 50 in shipping charges, not to mention the time and inconvenience, and they are still going to charge me for the repair. Our facility moved to a new location in July 2009. This information is posted on the Polk website. As a onetime courtesy we will waive the return shipping charges. In other words once we receive your unit we will evaluate it and Art our technician will call you with an estimate for the repair. We will not charge you shipping and handling fees for the unit to be returned to you. Thank you, XXXXXXXX Polk Audio Factory Service From: Me Sent: Tuesday, July 12, 201111:28AM To: XXXXX Subject: Re: — ISONIC XXXX, Our iSonic was returned yesterday undeliverable by the USPS; evidently the return repair address in my Polk owner’s manual is incorrect, and your company hasn’t established a forwarding mail system with the USPS to your new address(This information came from our postal office in Tustin.) It cost me $ 18 in shipping and insurance, and I’ll have to reship it.
