This place is what i call a Jack of all trades and a master of none type spot… Not great and not bad either. If you are hungry its open late as compared to the other establishments in the area. Good luck calling in an order, they may put you on hold till eternity, nonetheless the cheese steak i ordered was fine. I am always weary of places that have extensive menu’s and hence this is just ok.

Came to Pepe’s with my cousin for lunch. Cute place however the woman taking orders was a little rude. Had the philly sandwich which was good. I would come back next time I visit.

Food here is great the pizza and the fries are a good choice. They are very friendly and if you sit down they will bring the food out to you. Order the wings they are great. That’s pretty much all I have to say. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I just moved here from Chicago so I’m a bit of a pizza snob and I must admit, this is the best pizza I’ve had in Baltimore so far. Everything is fresh made to order and it’s the perfect spot for greasy comfort food.

Great breakfast food! I live in the neighborhood so it’s the perfect place to stop and grab some french toast or a breakfast sandwich. Staff is nice and food is prepared quickly.

Pepe’s has some pros, but some cons also. The one big pro is that their stromboli is HUGE. Like, dinner for 3 people. You basically pick things off the menu, and they make it for you. The crust is crisp and the price is amazing for the portion size. They are in a convenient location, though the parking isn’t (see the cons). Their other offerings are good, though the portions aren’t quite as generous.
Now to the cons: The parking in front of the restaurant is a little cramped. However, there’s extra parking right next door. The dining area experience is not the greatest. There’s a really loud and annoying buzzer and announcement every time an order come out, and it really ruins the atmosphere.

Fast delivery, delicious spinach pie, very good greek salad with real calmata olives and excellent dressing, the pizza is not the best — I like thin crust as a native New Yorker but this is the opposite, fluffy thick doughy crust, the sauce is delicious but the cheese was rubbery. Put chicken on one side (very good) and olives on the other (not calmat) — not so good. Will be ordering again though since my kids liked it and the other stuff was so tasty.

I have been going to Pepe’s for pizza at «least» once a week for the past 4 years. I recommend their pizza to my friends and if I go to anyone’s house for a party, I take at least two pies! With that being said, I don’t know who is back there making pizzas but the pizza quality has significantly gone down in the past few months. The ingredients are still good but it seems like they are thrown together and there are empty spots because the dough is not properly aerated. I’ve made pizza for years and they used to be pretty solid but I’ve been embarrassed and pretty angry lately. I will be speaking to a manager because I think it’s an easy fix… training! Or… Management … Please bring back the old pizza guys!!!

Quick breakfast. Nothing fancy. Paper plates and plastic utensils. Sausage links, not patties but very good. I had the equivalent of an egg mcmuffin. Absolutely better than McDonalds. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy.

Best crabcakes for the price in Baltimore and beyond. Fried or broiled deliciously large crabcake, multiple topping and bread options, for a very reasonable price.
Agree with other reviewers that the counter staff could be a little more cheerful, but with a good sandwich all is forgiven.

I went in to get breakfast because it looks so clean. Had to go to the restroom first when I noticed am employee came in and left back out without washing her hands. Needless to say I lost my appetite. I don’t think I’ll ever try there food.

Holy toppings batman! I ordered a deluxe pizza and it came with tons of toppings. I know that the deluxe includes everything, but so many pizzas that I get at other places have such sparse toppings. This one was awesome, and it tasted good also. The delivery was within the window also. I can’t comment on service since I didn’t eat in, but I was very happy with my pizza.

First off: Nothing wrong with the food. The food was fine, the menu is great, the new venue is beautiful. So what could be wrong?

Here you have is a bunch of little blond yuppie girls who’s parents said «you need a job this summer». Rude, no people skills, and an overall «I don’t want to be here» attitude.
This is a crying shame. Pepe’s is an institution in MT Washington. Its been around forever. And like I said it has a lot of great things going for it. Serious get rid of these little girls and bring in some nice local woman or men and this place will be a favorite of mine again.

I had the pizza here once and it was okay to good. The service was very slow.
Today, the service was worse. I ordered fried chicken that was ready in the warmer and I waited more than 15 minutes while those who ordered pizza and other kitchen meals after me received their food. The chicken was not good and had definitely been sitting there all day. I had to ask for my chicken and the ladies did not seem bothered that others had been served long before me.
I regret going and because of the horrible parking, I got blocked in and could not escape. It was a sign to definitely never go back. If I want chicken, I will go to Royal Farms just down the road. For other items, I will keep searching Unilocal

Ate here as a group of four. Some bites were really tasty, others were just okay.
I got a tuna melt and thought it was done just right – not too greasy, not too celery-​y, etc. The Western potatoes, however, looked so beautiful but then didn’t have much flavor, even with some salt. The curly fries were a little better.
Not much else to say. This seems like a reliable, A-​OK neighborhood joint. If I lived around here, I’m sure I’d be back once every few months!

Have to agree with Randall H. Not sure what is going on with them, but I can’t remember the last time they got an order right. In the past three times I’ve ordered, I’ve gotten a turkey sandwich without cheese, a Caesar deluxe without the grilled chicken, and, last night, a Greek salad with undercooked chicken. Like pink inside. They brought us all new food and refunded our money, but this is just happening too much lately. There are so many other places that deliver that I can’t recommend them.

I don’t even know where to start… I’ve been coming here for years. GREEK PIZZA WITH CHICKEN. Yes. Your life has no meaning without it. Sometimes I think about ordering one for myself because sharing is hard. Their house salad dressing is like crack. I’m sure I’m not the only one that wakes up in the middle of the night craving it.

It’s a sad shame when a local well established pizzeria & delivery establishment expands & sacrifices quality of service to their long term customers. My entire family & my in-​laws have patronized your establishment for many years, from before you were known as Pepe’s.
We have been ordering from you at least 2 to 3 times a week for the past 29 years, but within the past month the customer service has declined to the point that I feel as if I can get better service from McDonalds. This is sad, for more than one reason. I am exhausting the choices of quality delivery that we can receive from the Mt. Washington /​Medfield area & I really did like your food at one time.
Honestly, my hopes are that someone of stature at Pepe’s reads this & elects to address it aggressively, so as to save this establishment.
