Sometimes when it gets busy it’s hard to find your server… huge portions I love the jumbo lump crab cake but all of the shells is a turn off I had my bday party here last year they definitely know how to make you feel welcome My friends and I are obsessed with the crab cocktail and grapefruit crushes

Hello, I am UnilocalINeedSomebody, a famous Baltimore Unilocaler. I have traveled dozens of miles all throughout Baltimore trying each of «Mo’s Seafood White Marsh» locations. I have OVER2,000 followers on UnilocalNet and TWICE that amount on my social networking platform UnilocalMatch. Let me start by saying that the food was great. It gave me a sensual and stimulating experience each time I cracked open a crab leg. Snap! That sweet sharp sounds, music to my ears and food for my dripping wet tongue. Zesty! I will say my waiter, who was PUERTORICAN(i docked points for that one!!) was a good server but nonetheless I removed points because he not accommodate me for first-class Unilocal seating despite me wearing my Unilocaler badge. The El Salvadorean food runner(I also docked points for that!) seemed like a nice guy, but you can never be too careful with those«reformed» ms-13 convicts that I hear so often about. Overall experience 9⁄10 Pureblood heritage experience 4⁄10

Happy hour all day, it can’t get any better. $ 2.50 beers, $ 3 drafts, and $ 5 rail drinks. The food is good too. $ 6 appetizers and entrées are anywhere from $ 12 – 30. The service is fairly poor. You have to flag down a server and they charge an automatic 20% gratuity to your bill no matter if you dine solo or with a group.

Go on Friday night to enjoy Karaōke with your meal. It’s hard to get a good seat if you arrive after 7 pm. Unfortunately, it means sitting around for a while, since Karaōke doesn’t start until 9:30pm. The high tables are closest to Karaōke and hardest to get. You can make reservations for regular tables. I’ve had their crab dip, crab & shrimp dip, seafood pasta, wings, fries, fried shrimp and crab cake. Everything has been delicious thus far. Only the crab dip does have that creamy consistency. It’s more of a cream cheese/sour cream flavor, but the crab is LUMP. I mean huge chunks unlike typical crab dip. I had them add some cheddar cheese to mine, so it mixes better. The pasta wasn’t spicy enough for me, so I’ve asked for some of the seafood rub and sprinkle it on. The drinks are pretty strong and have funny names. The atmosphere is nice. Everyone is friendly. They automatically add gratuity to your check, so don’t be surprised. They have recently posted signs saying no Split Check, so if that’s a problem in a group, I suggest bringing cash and a calculator. I can’t wait until next Friday night. *FYI, parking is also difficult if you come after 8pm. Some folks actually park on Pulaski Hwy.

Mike J. went here for the first time today on my mother’s recommendation and ordered the crab cake platter and shrimp po boy. When I asked how big the crabcake is, the guy said 10 ozs. I had him repeat it because every other place is 6−8ozs. I had broccoli and mashed potatoes as my side. Everything was cooked to perfection, well worth the money and I’ll definitely be going back. As a person born and raised in Baltimore, I know a good crabcake when I taste one and this one is high up on my list.

The food wasn’t bad. Gets really really busy on the weekend. Nice chill time if you want toe at and listen to a DJ. They charged me $ 2 for melted butter though!

Manager on call tonight name is Mark, he offered no apologies and was very cocky and rude. To have such an establishment and be so non chalant about customer service has me really outside of myself. I feel disrespected after telling the manager my concerns and being waived off. 2 and half hours sitting waiting for crab balls and steamed stump is ridiculous

I’ve visited this location on many occasions and I must say this is the first time I’ve been dissatisfied. Placed a to-go order and after 30 mins the order still wasn’t ready. When the order did arrive it was in two separate bags and tied up. I checked the one bag I was able to untie and it was correct so I left. After arriving home and having to cut open the other bag I discovered our order was wrong. Management was very pleasant and understanding when I called and told them of the mistake. I was offered a replacement entrée the next time I was in the area. Missing the other two stars because of the wait time to pick up a order that was called in. About 50 minutes from time of placing order to time I left with the food.

Loooove this Mo’s! So clean and spacious! There’s never really a wait because it’s still fairly«new». I’ve had the stuff salmon, the stuffed shrimp, scallops, crab cakes, fried shrimp, and fish sandwich. They have an awesome happy hour with great drink specials. They also play music certain nights of the week. One of my favorite drop in places.

I’ve only been here a few times since its opening. While we love the heaping mounds of food you get, the service has never been exceptional nor the ambiance inviting. It’s one of those places where you go, «I haven’t been to Mo’s Seafood in a long time. Let’s go!» And, when you go, you realize why you don’t go there often at all. During my last visit, the 17% automatic gratuity added to all checks gave me pause as it has pretty much solidified the notion that you don’t go here for the service as the waitstaff can be lackadaisical and still get their tips. Fortunately, we lucked out with our server. While she wasn’t particularly attentive, she was friendly and nice. However, we never got refills on drinks, until we asked for it, and our food took a long time to come out. So much so that we thought our server had forgotten about us. Also, their purported«vegetable du jour» side is really just huge pieces of broccoli. [TL;DR] All in all, it’s an OK place to go when you want heaping mounds of seafood for under $ 20. But, don’t expect exceptional service and an actual side of assorted steamed vegetables in their vegetable du jour(it’s just broccoli). Also, be prepared for the automatic 17% gratuity added to all checks regardless of group size.

The best location– Joppa Rd, Towson is now 2nd for me… I love love love whoever is cheffing back in the kitchen– the presentation is the best I’ve seen in a long while– the food is amazing– staff need to be more attentive at times but overall the best experience– I love the size — the atmosphere is very pleasant– mixed and the drinks are poured well

I have read every last review to try and better understand WTF I just experienced. I witness a pattern in how this business is being ran and quite frankly it doesn’t surprise me that most of the reviews are low. How do you sleep at night? Being a server for 7 years has given me some knowledge about the industry. I set my bar high when trying a new restaurant but I am fair all in all. On my partners suggestion of getting some seafood, we figured we would give Mo’s a try… The parking lot was full, why I am not sure, maybe something along the lines of «it was Friday and I just got paid, lets go blow it on drinks and food» We were seated quickly.(this was found to be familiar) Our server comes over and I instantly noticed an attitude that was more or less blahzay. Drinks and app were ordered. Bread came. Drinks came. Entrees placed. We waited, waited, waited. Entrees came. Where’s the app?! Within a 20 min. time frame our waitress never acknowledged our missing app. Never asked how our food was. Keep trying to give me more beer, probably trying to set me up for what was lying ahead. Food was subpar, not memorable. Crab Trio and 1 lb. of shrimp with $ 1.00 worth of onions(upcharge). We overheard the table next to us complain about crabshells in her crab imperial. We experienced the same in ours. Crab cake was decent, well seasoned. My beer was good, I was offered beer another 4 times. I’m a light weight-cheap date. You are barking up the wrong tree lady. We have our fill and get the check. No app. was charged! Yes I have to pay 17% tip for half assed service, sucks for her because it would have increased your tip amount if the app made it to the table. People work hard for their money. We just overall want great service, food and a great food dining experience. Won’t be back!

I am hesitant on even giving this 2 stars. The only reason why I am is because of Melissa. I will get to her in a second. My husband and I decided not to eat at our own restaurant for his birthday. Instead of going downtown we decided to go to Mo’s. Biggest mistake EVER! I have been there several times and sat at the bar and had good service. Tonight we had our 6 month old with us so that was not an option. Kyle greeted us at 7pm and sat us by the door and bought over a high chair as requested. Now, normal thought process would be since there was no hostess and Kyle was taking care of the tables behind us he would be our server… NOT! He never once came back to take even a drink order! Mind you there are 3 other female servers on the floor as well bringing out food and not ONE stopped to see if we were Ok. We patiently sat for 15 minutes before I got up and went to the bar for help. Now back to Melissa. She was the bartender and when I came to the bar and told her the situation she was apologetic and took our order. She stayed with us the entire night and did a fantastic job. Mind you while also attending to bar top customers. To top it off 3 other tables came in and the floor servers attended to them… At the end of our meal I requested to speak with the manager. She bought the check and he soon followed. He never introduced himself, had an I don’t care what you are about to say look on his face and not once apologized for HIS staffs deplorable customer service. Let’s be very clear… I asked for nothing off my check and over tipped Melissa. He offered us NOTHING! To sum this up, I will be taking this to the owner, corporate and every social medial outlet. This is not acceptable!

This was my 4th time here, the experience is usually okay. However this time it is leaving a bad taste in my mouth because of the service. Our waitress and the male bartender is polite… ordered the buffalo appetizer platter as it had wings, fish and shrimp… all of the items were covered with the sauce. We were planning to give our toddler the fish and shrimp. We told the waitress and she said«the manager isnt here, i cannot take it off the bill because that is what you ordered»… immediately i felt they did not have good customer service. She went back to talk with someone and they sai d they woukd be able to fix the same dish without the sauce… that was what my husband asked before. I ordered sautéed scallops with lemon butter sauce, they were bland with no sear whatsoever… Chef Ramsey would cuss! They askes if i wanted another batch of scallops with more flavor… no thanks! Ended up getting the cajun fish and shrimp meal to go… Crab legs were good, and the fried wings, fish, and shrimp were good. Asked them to box up the platter… when they relized they forgot the loaded mashed potatoes, when asked if i still wanted them i said no and take it of the bill. $ 63 bill with poor ‘send back food’ policy, no manager on duty, oh and a built in $ 10 gratuity! We wont be back! Bye Felicia!!!

For apps we ordered crab bites and buffalo wings. Our entrees included steak with fried shrimp and rosemary redskin potatoes; fried catfish(¾) pieces with a baked potato. Free rolls are given and they were pretty tough with a soft middle. I basically tore out the innards and added butter. The 1 margarita we had did justice so no complaints there. Crab bites= cooked right but plain Steak= tender but plain and added salt didn’t help like it wasn’t real salt Fried shrimp and fish= cooked perfectly but plain Buffalo wings= best item in my opinion but tasted like teriyaki Portions were large so the price tags were worth the portion size. Food was very fresh but soooo plain. These items can be made at home or bought from another restaurant for less and with more flavor. Service was decent as expected during a game night luckily we came before the crowd racked in. The fresh seafood market section is located all the way in the back and you have to enter from outside you can’t walk thru. Prices were too high compared to ordinary market pricing. For example, $ 14.99 for a pound of snow crab clusters. Definitely had to pass since you can get the same ones at a market for at least $ 7 less. The automatic addition of 17% gratuity regardless of party size was a definitely huge turn off. I don’t like being forced to pay a certain amount for a tip as I like my choices. Can’t say I wouldn’t return again but there is no rush. See how you like it.

Pros: Heaping portions of whatever you order. No joke, a salad comes in a ginormous bowl the size you’d make for several people. Picture the clear bowl of salad at the Olive Garden. Yeah, really. They also have a free parking lot and sell crabs and other items from their«market» around the back. They also have a lot of space between tables which is a plus and helpful for convos that you don’t want overheard. Cons: Mediocre food on the best day and just«eh» on a bad day. I gave them a couple of chances but it’s not worth it unless you’re sick and not able to taste any flavor, or just enjoy bland food. And if you do enjoy boringly bland, go elsewhere because it’s cheaper. This restaurant also has the nerve to add 17% gratuity to EVERY check! And the service has been consistently poor with the exception of one young woman. I wanted to scream, «rum away to a better restaurant!» at her. For example, one waitress overcharged our table. When we illustrated that she should have charged our cards the amount of the full check as the tip is included, and then give us the change, she said she charged us the amount and then the rest of the cash in the envelope was towards her tip. WHAT? Yeah, even the manager took about 15 minutes to unjust get the story straight and then we were told it’d take about a month to get the refund on our cards. Therefore, even if I didn’t avoid them due to the bland food, I’d avoid them for not being able to do basic math and for adding an undeserved gratuity. Moral of my story? I try to tip generously when the service is good. Even if there are issues with food, etc, I don’t fault waitstaff because they’re just doing their jobs. However, when you overcharge, are slow with service and then get upset when I bring up the overcharge, I most certainly will speak with the manager and refuse to go back.

Last night I was highly impressed by the high quality of friendly service that my friends and I had experienced at this trustworthy and great seafood establishment. The décor of the room where we ate our dinner was truly very clean, organized and it had corrugated steel wainscoting along the walls as well as hooks and a small coat to keep your jacket and small stuff. The Filet Mignon and crab that I had was very tasty and delicious but I had only had about half of the crab. We were treated rather good and professionally and good by our super friendly hostess. Would not mind going here again. Two thumbs up. :). One word of friendly advice: before you use the salt and pepper shakers, please make sure that the lids are tightly secured to the bottles. If you do not tighten the lids securely than the lids will fall off and spill an excessive amount of seasoning onto your food making it unfit for human consumption. Someone was neglectful and forgetful when they finished refilling a particular salt shaker. :( I agree with most of the 5 star reviewers that this place is good. Dave from Reston, VA1975.
