I’ve heard a lot of great things about this place and that’s what gets it the 2 stars. However, after looking for a dance class for my toddler and finding their creative movement class, I have decided that I will not give this place my business until they change their gender biased uniform policy.
«Uniform — Girls wear any leotard, pink tights and proper pink leather ballet shoes. For your convenience, we recommend ordering these items through MCPA to ensure correct style and color. Boys wear comfortable clothing they can move easily in, such as sweatpants/​shorts and a t-​shirt.»
What reason could there possibly be for instituting such a policy for a creative movement for 2.5 year olds? If anyone can give me a valid reason, I’ll enroll my son and update this review accordingly. Dance classes or uniforms for dance classes should not cost you more $$ because your child is a girl.

This is one of the best dance studios in the Baltimore area. MCPA definitely specializes in ballet training, but they also offer classes in jazz, modern, tap, and contemporary. And they do a great production of The Nutcracker every year around Christmas.
The studio facility is gorgeous! I’ve seen a lot of dance studios over the year, but I’ve never seen a facility that was this nice. And you would never know it just by looking at the building. It kind of looks like a warehouse, but they have beautiful studios inside. The staff is very friendly and the instructors have amazing dance backgrounds. I also love that they offer adult Zumba classes!
