Luckie’s Tavern

Just don’t expect much. Heavy pours on the drinks not complaining about that. Otherwise this is a tourist place. Ok bar food and not very clean.

We came over to Luckie’s before a concert this past weekend for a quick bite to eat and some drinks. We ate inside and once we finished our meal, we went outside to the patio bar. Kay was our bartender and we noticed there were UFC fights showing later that night. We noticed there were reserved signs on some of the tables and asked if we would be able to reserve an outside table for when we came back after the concert. Kay was awesome and told us we could have a table reserved and we were able to pick out our table for later in the evening. When we came back, she brought us over to our table and was taken very well care of by Kay until we left for the night. I would recommend going back to this bar just because of her!

Totally disappointing with the service here. My waitress was new or so she said and said and said and said over and over again. The glass of wine that I ordered took over 25 minutes to get and was very hot. I spoke to the manager and there wasn’t an apology however, I was comped the wine. I placed an order which never came and I LEFT when I asked the waitress, the new one, who advised me that it would be a few more minutes… which would have been on top of the 20 I had already waited.

First and last time at this establishment.
My wife won a party at this establishment. So we got there for their happy hour which was terrible. We waited and waited for the food to come out. So we finally to ask the manager what was going on and was told they were under new management and they were working on a new menu.
We had a group of eleven at our table on a cloudy Friday night. Once we finally order and received our food we were not happy.
One of our gust never received their order and everybody knows wine is supposed to be served chilled not worm.
So after that fiasco we decided to leave so we asked for the bill and found a extra item was added on everybody bill which took another thirty minutes to correct. I definitely will not be giving this establishment any more of my hard earned money.

Luckies is the place for happy hour! Great being here with friends. The staff is great and very attentive. The crowd is having a good time. Laughing, drinking, and talking loud. Truly enjoy this night of celebration!!!

Here for a Bachelorette Party, when we reserved the spot they told us one thing, when we arrived everything they told us in the email we were misled on. Everyone at our table got food except one person. We had to remind the waitress about her and then she brought the wrong order. So here everyone else in the party was finished except one member.
Floor was sticky and there was no restroom in the place, you had to go outside to use the restrooms. Instead of playing music they had a sports game on. Need a cleaner atmospher, for $ 50 a person we should have received better service.

Horrible Kenny just horrible ! This is not the place anybody should go ever if you want to eat. Perhaps it’s just for the drinking crowd, but this is not a place you want to go to sit down and eat. We waited for five minutes for someone to seat us; we did not get seated. We walked through the restaurant and sat our selves and still no one came to help us. We decided to leave after 10 minutes of waiting — 10 minutes too long.

Every time I come here, its a good time. Its basically just a bar. Good prices on drinks and can’t complain about the food. Sometimes there are bands that come to play

So I’ll get straight to the point! My wife, two kids and I went to luckies tavern yesterday for the «Buy one drink get one drink for $ 1 all day long special» and was TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED by the HORRIBLE service. I only order 2 RAIL Margarita, 2 RAIL long islands and 2 pineapple juice. Because of the «happy hour special» so how the was it my bill came to $ 50 was unbelievable!!! Nobody could give me a straight answer AT ALL! Guess the 1 & ONLY guy working the whole place got upset because we canceled our food? So he tried to OVER charge us? UNPROFESSIONAL & VERY TASTELESS… Still waiting for their GENERAL MANAGER Nathan Hayes to contact us back!!!

I bought a
gift certificate to this place, and I’ve been trying to call to get more info on the venue. Their website says Luckie’s doesn’t open till 4pm on Fridays; so I called at 4:28pm, 4:45pm and again at 5:00pm. Nobodys’ answering so I hope we don’t encounter any unpleasant surprises next week when my friend and I come by. The number I’ve been dialing is: (410) 223‑1105.

This review was for Cupid’s Undie Run. Check in began here and the the pregame and postgame also happened here. Overall I was really impressed by this place. But that might be because me and my gf got VIP (all you can drink). They had separate bars/​rooms and check-​in for the VIP but you were also allowed to go in the other room. The other room was definitely more crowded and rowdy. The room was much larger and I could see on a regular night out, it would be fun. They had a large dance floor, a stage, and two long bars. In the VIP room, there was one bar, a pong table, shots battleships, and a N64 linked to one of the TV’s. The bartender here was humorous and attentive. I don’t know how much the drinks were here (because of the all you can drink) but they had enough alcohol in them. They had a large selection of beers, including canned IPA’s. However, I didn’t notice what they had on drafts. For food we ordered chicken tenders and the chicken Chesapeake. The bartender also gave us free fries. The food was general bar food and priced around $ 8 – 12. The chicken Chesapeake was good but the crab dip was just normal canned crab dip, nothing fancy.
Overall, from the event the tavern seemed like a fun place to be. I would have to come back on a weekend to see how this place would really be rated. But if you planned on hosting an event here, it seemed like a great place to be.

If you want to watch sports and drink cheap, definitely-​non-​craft beer, this is the place for you.
We went here because Leinenkugel’s was closed that evening and my husband wanted red meat. The place was fairly empty which was a plus since we had our 1.5year old and he was able to run around without being a bother to anyone. My husband was very disappointed by their beer selection as he remembered it being better but he found nothing good. My margarita was all mixer, no alcohol. The short rib sliders were ok with too much bread too little meat. I actually could not ingest the buffalo chicken wrap as the chicken was dry, had almost no sauce and had a strange cheese. My husband’s turkey rueben wasn’t too bad. The fries were ok.
At the end of the night, I felt as if I had just wasted my money eating at Luckie’s. Don’t go here for the food, but it’s a great place to watch sports and get drunk.

Awesome place. Go there have fun drink a lot tip well. The music was loud and we were happy drinking and Alysa was great and I don’t have much more to say but apparently you need to write a lot for Unilocal (sucks) to post a review.

I’ve been here a number of times for drinks and dancing but bought a
deal and decided to come here for dinner before a show at Power Plant. While our waitress Jenn was a sweetheart, and I know this was not her fault… we waited over an hour for our food. People apparently kept coming in and making to-​go orders and leaving and they are responsible for other two restaurants (large kitchen) I don’t see why this should have affected us. We were starving by the time the food came. I ordered the short ribs with polenta. What I got was a dry hockey puck of beef and mashed potatoes. That was not polenta.
The drinks were good, and Jenn took our food off the check but I was blown away by the wait time for food. My friend ordered the cheese pizza and what she got was laughable. It was like a small children’s pizza you’d get at a school cafeteria. I’d suggest going anywhere but here if you are in Power Plant and want to get something to eat.

Ok drinks, Bartender was a bit dry. Menu did not have much variety and was a bit boring.

The only thing that earns this bar a 3^rd star is the friendly, energetic staff and attentive management. Nice outdoor lounge seating and good view of TVs for sports fans. Seems to draw more of a young 20s crowd.

Ahhhh. Every now and then you and up at place sompletely out of our comfort zone… Well this was one of those nights. After bar hopping with some friends for a birthday, we ended up swinging through this place. Typical divey type of place, but for some reason it felt extra divey and grimey.
Though i was crying on the inside, i smiled on the outside and made the best of it. As expected the rum selection was non existent. So I decided to do like the romans and drink a beer (which i hate), which obviously didnt help matters.
We stayed for a 20 minutes and then luckily scurried along somewhere else. This place isnt horrible, just not my scene. It was also pretty empty for a Saturday night, so it could just be that the place is not really a popping spot. None the less, first and last time for me.

If you HAVE to go into powerplant with all the tourist, go to Luckie’s. Its the best choice from the others.
If you are looking for discounts from the ever-​pricey drinks at PowerPlant in general, call ahead and ask if they do special promotions. They will tell you you «won» a happy hour (what that means is they give them out like candy to get people into the bar)
They will set a date and usually the HH will start around 9. If you get 4 people in, your drinks become free. More and more incentives happen the more people that you bring in.
The music is… well depends on the DJ. Sometimes theres awesome mixes but I remember a couple times the DJ was playing all throwback music… and not the good kind. It definitely ruined a good time and dampered the move since I love to dance and it would have been the perfect place to do so.
Overall, it’s ok for a decent time at PowerPlant. But if you want true awesomeness, you have to go to the neighborhoods in Baltimore.

Great place to take your mixed group: Guys get to drink and girls get to dance to the DJ’d music. Drink prices are not ridiculous, the bar itself is split half levels and big, the DJ plays popular dance stuff, and they have outdoor seating with heater elements if it’s cold outside.
I mean cmon people, what could more could you really expect? The swedish bikini team dropping in with free all you can drink coupons?

I came here for a special meetup happy hour before Matt & Kim’s free show, and if I were reviewing purely on that, this place would be four stars easy.
The drink prices were great ($ 3 domestics, $ 4 imports and rails) for the HH. The bartender (at the higher up bar near the entrance where we had the HH) remembered me, even 3 hours later when I returned to close out my tab after the show. (Though I’ll also note the crowd was a little clubby and weird later in the evening.)
The bar in the back closest to the stage still sucks though! Takes forever to get a drink. Might be a fun place to watch a show from (we had a «VIP» spot there), but we preferred to get into the crowd near the stage to enjoy.
I suppose I’ll need to make one more visit here before I can make up my mind. Four stars for a HH with good drink specials and the right crowd of fun people. Three stars otherwise.
