Decent food. Wish the customer service was a little more friendly. We usually get onions even though we ask for none. Just a few things that could make a visit more appealing.

The server we had was not attentive at all, she didn’t apologize for the food taking a long time or anything. I ordered a soup and salad and it took 45 mins for it to come out. The food was ok but I wouldn’t go back.

The food is good, especially the chicken and waffles, and the people are nice. My husband and I also regularly go to Pete’s Grill in Waverly, another fine diner and staple of Baltimore. This diner is a worthy competitor, except for one thing the owners need to improve on: waitstaff efficiency. On a busy day, the diner employees seem to get too overwhelmed during what should be typical diner activity. For example, waiting to be asked to have your cup of coffee refilled or table cleared off is a study of patience while holding in seething irritation. They appear to get disorganized easily when the place is full; but a full restaurant is what you want, right? Perhaps over time they’ll get the swing of things and reach the level of a well-oiled machine that is the service found at Pete’s Grill.

This is a good bet in the category of local family friendly neighborhood diner. It’s decked out in the 50s and has photos on the wall of old time Hamilton. Worth coming just to see that. An important business in Hamilton Lauraville. We’ve been three times. Friendly service. Sometimes a little slow and people running around. Great breakfast including pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy and French toast. Reasonable cheap too. Good burgers… and chili fries. Had a very filling chef salad. The have old table top juke boxes but not sure they function. It’s a place we will go to again.

I love this place. I mean the food is great and you can’t go wrong with any of their choices for breakfast. The homefries have good and bad days sometimes. And the atmosphere reminds me of my childhood and the prices are on the low-low.

We met my nephews family here for breakfast and had a terrific meal and visit! I had cream chipped beef on whole wheat And it was very good. Hubby had john Wayne. omelet that was excellent. Home fries were done well too. Others raved over pancakes and omelettes. Table in the back is good for larger group. Highly recommend!

A small and decent place with the 50’s feeling, but it is quite hard to find. The meals are really hearty considering its for brunch/lunch.

This is a great little diner. It almost gets lost on harford road, which is a shame! My mom and I had brunch there today and it was so good! We had pancakes, which were light and fluffy! So good! The home fires were also just delicious. I think they had paprika and parsley. They were just heaven. I would highly recommend this little hole in the wall next time you’re in Hamilton and looking for brunch.

I came here for lunch since I worked directly across the street. I ordered the Reuben with fries and had chili and cheese added on top of the fries. It was absolutely delish! Pretty reasonably priced($ 10 for all that I ordered). The fries remained nice, crispy, and hot while smothered with the cheese and chili. The Reuben was a nice size portion. I ordered the French toast there but wasn’t as impressed. I think it was slightly burnt, so I won’t be ordering that anymore. I will be trying other items such as the sausage and gravy and scrapple. But the Reuben with chili cheese fries is my go to item! Will definitely be going back here again.

If you want to feel like your visiting your grandma’s favorite diner, this is the place. We went up to Clementine ’ s for brunch but apparently it’s closed. A nice blonde recommended this 50 ‘s diner as we were being nosey with our faces pressed against the glass of the closed restaurant. On the way there we passed it and had to GPS our way back down Harford Rd. They need some balloons or a bigger sign. The place is small but so quaint. Lots of me morabilia on the walls. Small menu but everything is cooked right in front of you, which is nice. We had a burger and steaks with eggs. The steaks were awesome for $ 12. Cooked just right and loved the spice. Our server was Rosalie. She has a spunky hair do and was apparently daughter of the owners. She was kind and chatty. It was a perfect brunch! Thank you for the recommendation random blonde lady. I will be back.

I now have a new breakfast spot! They make my eggs and scrabble perfectly every time. I never leave disappointed like I do at big chain diners. Also college approved! The price for two eggs, meat, homefries and toast is less than $ 10. Friendly staff too.

This place has the absolute best cream chipped beef, ever. The Teeny Boppers, four burger sliders, are really great, too. The cheese steak is awesome. And great pancakes. Love the homey, warm atmosphere. It’s a wonderful place to have a family breakfast or lunch, especially when we have time to linger. We haven’t had a single bad experience or meal.

Great little place. Staff is very friendly. It’s clean and the food is good. I’m a fan of the breakfasts, especially the biscuits. Those are light, fluffy and flavorful. I wish they’d open for dinner.

A small, neighborhood diner. The food is fast, cheap, and decent. They make a pass at nostalgia, but it’s sort of half hearted, and that’s okay. Avoid the baked goods — I’m pretty sure they get them from Costco or something instead of a local bakery, and you can taste the difference. I recommend the grits — but crumble up some bacon and throw it in there. We’ve mostly gone here for breakfast, but now it’s a local IHOP every time we want pancakes, so it’s not like I can claim Lost in the 50s is a stand out place, but it definitely has a laid back, Baltimore, family-owned charm to it.

Lost in the 50s is a cute hole-in-the-wall diner that most tend to overlook. The breakfast is simple but delicious. The french toast is great! The lunch is once again simple but it hits the spot. The burger is actually fairly impressive. The service is a little slow, but that’s understandable when there’s one cook. You can watch him work his magic as there’s a bar that overlooks the grill area. The food is good, the atmosphere is friendly, the décor is charming and the prices are very agreeable. Go for it!
