This is a great option for commuters to the University of Maryland; the monthly rate is only $ 33(the next cheapest option is $ 75, I think). Plus you get to see the interesting sights, sounds, and smells of Lexington Market. The garage is open 24⁄7 during the week then closes at noon on Saturday through 5am Monday morning. The area is pretty quiet at night(I’ve arrived at 3:30 a.m. before), but it is packed during the market’s operating hours. The Greene Street entrance is only open during the day, however. If you don’t have a parking plan, remember to take your orange token with you(gotta pay before you try to leave).

Parked here to eat dinner downtown on a Tuesday evening. Unfortunately, I misplaced my «return» token after I had paid on the way out. I explained the situation to the lady in the front office and she was nice enough to just take our word for it and open up the gate so that we could exit. Great service!

A bargain in downtown Baltimore, especially with validation — I actually felt safer in the Garage than the market.

I Unilocal a lot of things, and this is my first reviewing a Parking Garage. Strange you say… well, not in this case. My first time parking near Lexington Market headed to a business meeting and I was referred to this garage as the easiest place to park near my appointed destination. True, it was right around the corner! Enter the garage and you are given a yellow coin… ok, no paper ticket, that has to be good for the environment. I’d never used this method and in typical fashion left the item(just like I would with a paper ticket) in my car and went on to my meeting. Following the meeting I went back to the door I exited the garage only to find that I could not enter… yep, you guessed it… I needed the coin to access. Ok, no worries… I walked around the garage and figured I could just walk in where I entered with my car. There was an office, there were people in the officce… they were all too happy to help. They unlocked a side door for me, I hopped the elevator and got to my car lickety-split. Exiting I just dropped my coin in the electronic stand and zipped my credit card and was on my merry way. Thank you Parking Garage staff for your help, as I’m sure you encounter others like me that don’t pay attention to the giant yellow signs that say«Did you forget to take your COIN with you?» — that you notice ONYOURWAYOUT… LOL
