My boyfriend and I went during New Years Day night… we were surprised not that many people were out. We were there from 9:30 til closing that night. We liked the vibe, and wish we lived in the area to go back. They even had games on the tables, which entertained us for a good hour.

I haven’t written a review on this yet?! FORSHAME! What is wrong with me?!? I went to this place in May 2015, then back again in December. May 2015 was chilly and rainy and cold. December was warm and nearly 70 degrees. You’d think May would be a better time to go a beer garden but December was way nicer… and warm(lol). OK so Leinenkugel is a great beer. I love their Summer Shandy, and other brews. They mix beers together like the Honey Bear(Honey Wheat and Berry Weiss) or berry lemonade(summer shandy and berry weiss). Very clever, and I love Leinie, so I can mix them on my own. Sweet. Differences were that in May, I was able to get a crab dip pretzel, which was like this warm and soft Bavarian style pretzel, w/warm crab dip. HOLYSCHNIKEYS. I took pics and foodporned the sh*t out of it, and I literally dreamed about this every day till I went back. In December, they were actually out of a few beers(a beer garden OUTOF beer… really, guys?), so we had to get creative w/our beer choices. Not a huge deal… till I saw their menu curiously did not have their crab dip pretzel on it. I saw crab dip as a choice… and warm soft pretzels… but not together… when I asked, it turns out there was a menu change in JUNE(right after I was there) and they no longer offered it together. OMG. WHYWOULDYOUTAKESOMETHINGOFFTHEMENUTHATWASSOFRICKINTASTY!!! He was able to make me some crab dip fries, but still. it wasn’t the same. SOB. I know now to get my crab pretzels at Pickles, which was merely pedestrian compared to Leinie’s. Seriously… bring back the crab pretzel. I beg of thee!

This was my first time at the beer garden and it was amazing! Our server was incredible, she was very attentive but not in the overbearing way. Our beer was superb, and the games on the tables make for a fun atmosphere and the People at my table loved their food! Very happy we went here and I’d definitely go back.

Stopped by here last night(Monday) before a show at Rams Head Live! It took 15 minutes to get a drink, 15 minutes!!! There was one guy behind the bar, he didn’t seem to care we were waiting, maybe a word of acknowledgment would have given a better impression, but that wasn’t the case, in fact, we just felt ignored. Friendlier staff and more people working, and you wouldn’t have costumers leaving angry. We will not return the next time we are in the area.

This is a great location, I love the glass house feel. The bar has a good selection of draft beer and good looking food menu. The staff were busy but that’s normal for a Friday night. Had the Leinenkugel’s Berry Weiss and it was refreshing and light. I stopped in here before a concert and can see myself coming back, the parking was easy and the bill for beer wasn’t bad at all! I liked that the bar had games, kegs, and drafts in the table. Overall a lot to see and do.

Loved the ambiance of this place. It is a shame that the service was so terrible. Food was decent, what you would expect in a tourist area.

Not really sure this qualifies as a beer garden in my book, but you know quite a decent place to drink at Power Plant. Fact is, I haven’t been around these parts since the days of Rams Head live, McFaddens, early-mid 2000s. Since then, the area has changed greatly. Leinenkugel’s is hard to put a finger on. Its an indoor space, but an outdoor space. Imagine it to be like having a drink in a greenhouse. But no plants, trees, humidity. So imagine having a drink in a glasshouse. I think thats a better way of thinking about it. Circular tables dot the interior of this fairly large space, some with places where I am guessing you can insert kegs as there are taps in the middle of the circular tables. Didn’t see any of those taps being used though. We had a great server who was fast, quick, and went around to all in our party of 20+. Drinks came out speedily and were fairly priced for being where it is at. I think being in NYC for so long skews your idea of what prices are so everything under Manhattan prices are fair… even when it isn’t. But that’s just me. Crowd is young, baltimoreans, lots of Orioles love of course. There is truly outdoor seating with a fireplace. Didn’t really have a chance to give that a worthy look so won’t be able to say much other than its there. No bathroom. You have to leave the glasshouse and go to the one located outside. Leinenkugel’s gets kudos for being clean and the service being great. I mean what more can you ask for from a bar, right?

This is a beautiful beer garden with delicious different Leini flavors. Service was very friendly and attentive. Each table when you walk in has a Leini barrel which looks really cool for decoration. The menu doesn’t have very much options for food but when it comes to beer they do combine their Leini flavors to make some awesome beers. They also have a very nice out door beach chair seating area and a small amount of picnic tables.

This place has an amazing atmosphere, it is very fun, vibrant, and unique. The selection of beers on tap is phenomenal, they have something for everyone. Unfortunately the price of beer here is ridiculous, a pint of beer was nearly more than my meal. So be careful and ask for beer prices before you order! As for the food it was actually very good, I had the Philly cheesesteak and I have no complaints whatsoever. I definitely think this restaurant is worth trying, I would recommend it to family and friends.

We dined here on New Year’s Day for lunch with our 3 year old son. The bad Service was so slow! We ordered a hummus plate to start and it came out with our food. My son’s pigs in a blanket and fries were burnt and tasted like the oil in the fryer needed to be changed. They were out of the dressing we ordered for our salads so just gave us something random. Yes, we noticed. The good Our server was very nice. The atmosphere is still really fun. Our son had a blast playing jenga while we waited. I don’t see us coming back. We have a port discovery membership but will try other restaurants in the area instead.

One of my favorite places in downtown Bmore. A great place with a great atmosphere and a ridiculously great selection of beer. I can’t attest to the food because I’ve never had it. It’s a beer garden, not a restaurant. If you’re looking for a regular sit down meal, there’s plenty of other options in the area to choose from. This is a must go for my friends and I for a few drinks before dinner or a night out.

I came here with a group of my friends to pre-game before the Matisyahu concert. We got a $ 30 Miller Lite beer tower for $ 30($ 10 off regular) and felt it was a bite pricey. The food was ok but nothing to really write home about, however, stay away from the sausage sandwich because all your getting is bread. We left after our first round to seek a better cheaper alternative. The atmosphere is nice with big tables to host large groups and also there is Jenga available. One thing to note the music is very loud and it makes conversing a bit difficult. Lastly, service was great no complaints in that department. Atmosphere — B Service — B+ Food — C

Don’t come here for the food. The food didn’t match the descriptions in the menu. I barely had any sauerkraut with my brat, my son’s grilled cheese was supposed to be on Texas Toast, but it was regular, thin sliced sandwich bread. My friend’s salad was OK, and it hardly had any ingredients in it. We also had soft pretzels as an appetizer and only 2 of the 3 dips came out with it and the pretzel itself was pretzel bread, not a soft pretzel. The service was OK. Our water was on the spot with drink refills, but the food took a crazy long time to come out and of course, the last meal they brought out was for the fussy 3 year old. They either forgot to make hers or dropped it, so it came out WAY after all of the other meals. The kid’s pizza was very good and you could definitely taste the beer in the brats. The fries were pretty good as well. They had a decent beer selection and it’s definitely their primary selling point. It was an OK stop in the middle of the day and it wasn’t overly crowded like the Inner Harbor shops and restaurants that are right on the water.

Super ridiculously loud. Can’t blame them for that. Soft pretzels, gooooood. Did a Groupon thingy, got beer flights. Now having Great Divide Hibernation. 12.3% ABV. WHEEEE! Other than that, Ok beer list but not great. Did I mention it’s loud?

Come for the beer, the wonderful beer garden, and great variety. Food, not so much, walk around and find something else, but if you need a quick bite, the pretzels are not bad, albeit over priced. This place is great in the afternoon on a weekend in the warmer seasons — not over crowded, always has a great variety, and incredibly comfortable.

If you haven’t yet tried Leinkugel’s Summer Shandy or Sunset Wheat, you should go out and buy yourself a six pack. When given the opportunity to try the rest of them, you need to head on over to the Beer Garden. My guy and I love to try new beers, we travel to new places and make it part of our trip. The best thing about visiting a brewery is getting to try each and every type of beer they offer. We ordered up two samplers, minus the ones we already had. The Berry Weiss was another great light summery beer that I would love for them to bottle. All of the beers were between 4−5%APV except for the Leinenkugel’s Big Eddy Snow Drift, that sucker is a Vanilla Porter at 9.5%APV. If you have already tried Leinenkugel, you have to come here. And if you haven’t tried Leinenkugel, you REALLY need to go.

So this place is in that power plant area. Parking, I bet you already know how that is… street or parking garages, but once you’re in you have an awesome selection of bars and things to do. Stopped here after coming from the comedy club. I think it is a pretty chill place. It is small, but not too small. Wasn’t croded, which was surprisng to me considering it was a Friday night. They played awesome music, and had a great selection of beers. The bar food(pizza) was pretty good too. Everything was reasonably price. I’d come back to see what else there is to offer.

This restaurant, located within PowerPlant Live, reminds me of a chain version of the old Degroens. The seating is very traditional German beer hall(think long picnic tables) with a few hightops and the outside area is well done with a wonderful gas fireplace. They have good beer on tap and one can even get a table in reserve with beer of choice(3 max) on your own personal tap! The table that is reserved keeps track of the # of beers drunk and charges you accordingly– this is super awesome. We got a few quick appetizers as it was getting late. We got half orders of the following: ~ Bratwurst Bites with beer cheese, spicy mustard & honey mustard. Served with their signature sauerkraut. The bites were SO good– very juicy even though the slices were cut thinner than I would have thought. The sauerkraut was just so-so and it honestly tasted like canned to me– not sure why it is so ‘signature’. Also, the spicy mustard was not given to us– more about this when I discuss the service. ~Fried Pickles with horseradish sauce — YUCK, The pickles had WAY too much breading on them and it didn’t even seem fully cooked. The breading too was very plain with no taste. Stalking Horse or Pickles Pub has waaaaaaaay better fried pickles. These are unforgettable fried pickles– unfortunately it is because I find them disgusting. The sauce was good though, had a nice kick to it. ~Soft Pretzels with beer cheese, honey mustard & spicy mustard. The pretzels were very very good– can’t put my finger on why they were so good but yum. Also no spicy mustard was served with this dish– very disappointing. For 2 people, these three items were more than enough and we actually needed to take some of it home. The half portions are still very generous and actually allows a group to try more items on the menu– a total bonus in my book. The dishes also came out HOT which I love– means they weren’t sitting waiting for the waitress. Now for the service– it was just ok. The place wasn’t too crowded and we saw our server on more than one occasion(and she wasn’t that slow) BUT– when I noted that 2 of our dishes did not come with the spicy mustard, instead of saying ‘oh let me go get some for you’ or even ‘I’m so sorry, we’re currently out of it’ she said ‘Yeah, the kitchen swears that is how it is supposed to be served’ and just shrugged. HUH!!! No, the menu says one thing, please serve what it says– if not, change the menu. Not sure what was really going on there but pretzels and brats without spicy mustard? weird. Despite the odd omission of the spicy mustard(I take my German food seriously), and the fact that it is in PowerPlant Live(I felt a little old to be honest with you) I’ll be back.
