This is more unorganized than 5th grade recess kickball. There are a ton of rules that don’t get enforced; not only do you pay to play in the league($ 55/person) but you pay for«refs» that don’t know half the rules, blatantly play favorite, make sexist/rude comments/jokes, and sometimes don’t even pay attention and admit it. We’ve had some nasty weather and the league doesn’t make decisions until the last minute, which shows no consideration for people that have to drive here from further than 30 mins away. Once, in a downpour, they still had games and then got all sassy and told us to wear cleats when I expressed my concern. As a team, we paid over $ 700(not including the stupid money to pay the«officials») and I feel this is a SCAM. Not only did we pay all that money, they JUST cashed my $ 450 check weeks after I gave it to them. Not cool ATALL. I will 100% only participate in Baltimore Social leagues from now on. «I played kickball league of baltimore and got was this shitty tshirt.»

Generally fun, but the league has several pages of rules and doesn’t bother to enforce most of them. Once when pointing out a flagrant violation league officials said that they needed to change the rules. It’s pretty pathetic that you pay $ 55 for 7 games of kickball and they can’t even make the rules consistent. I don’t think I’ll play next season. Some would say I’m a sticker and that it’s recreational, I’d say people shouldn’t need to cheat at rec kickball and what’s the point of playing a game without rules.

It’s kickball season again. This review is for the Canton league with the games being played in Patterson Park. There is also a Fed Hill division, but I’m pretty sure it’s the equivalent to the minor leagues when compared to the professional level of play that happens at Patterson Park. I should mention that this is separate from the BSSC. The KLB have both Spring and Fall leagues. Once the season starts, dozens of teams embark on Patterson Park to play intense games of kickball, and maybe drink a beer or two in the process. I’ll be honest, people play to drink beer outside, plain and simple. Make sure you hit up one of the sponsor bars after-wards, either Looney’s or Sharkeys, for drink specials. Minus one star because Coors Light is the main sponsor and I hate Coors light.
