I love Kennedy Krieger. I was there from October 2011 to March 2nd2012. I was involved in a hit & run and was in a coma at Johns Hopkins for a month. August 24th2011 was my accident date. Anyway, they are a big part of where I am now. I thank God for them and their work!

I am a little bias! I know a lot about this place. We have amazing staff and various departments and specialties that help children from all over the world. Please check out the website to get further info on our programming or what services we provide.

My son has a rare condition called Transverse Myelitis and I’ve been travelling from California to Kennedy Krieger for occassional therapies. The doctors and therapists here are the best of the best. I highly reccomend Dr. Becker, Dr. Bosques and therapists(p.t.) Meredith Borque and(o.t.) Stephanie Ramey. It doesn’t get any better!

This place is worse than a prison. My daughter was admitted on 9÷28÷11 by 10÷4÷11 she was rushed to ER with a blood sugar over 350. They were not monitoring her blood sugar. My daughter was still mostly unconscious and relied on a feeding tube for nutrition.

Unsurpassed by any other children’s care facility I’ve seen. From doctors, and nurses, nutritionists, therapists, even to security guards, and building maintenance staff there is something different about the way people in this hospital care for your child and treat you as a parent that stands head over heels above any other medical institution that I’ve experienced. The care is world class. They are also affiliated with and physically next door to Johns Hopkins, the #1 rated hospital in the US by Newsweek, so you have access to their specialists as well should the need arise whether your needs neurological, GI, or whatever. Our kid was seen by several JHU specialists who came over to help out the KKI team. The nurses here took very good care of our little girl. The integrated team of specialists worked well together and put together a good summary report at the end so that future medical teams could continue where they left off. You have to be taken aback by a place where even many of the security guards recognized us by face and name and greeted us with a smile regardless of what time of day/night we arrived over the course of 2 months. Attention to these details, in addition to the world class care really made our experience there one worth Unilocaling about. 5 stars for KKI. I hope your kid will never be in a position where he/she actually needs this type of care, but if you do, then these are the people to see; hands down.
