This place has definitely gone through some changes from when I first moved to the neighborhood. It used to look pretty dingy and unwelcoming, so we never really thought about popping in until we saw signs that they were remodeling and heard from neighbors that they had excellent food. I’ve eaten here twice now, and both times the food was indeed pretty good. They have great wings and steak(in quesadillas, sandwiches, etc). I like their loaded fries but they tend to be a little bit smaller than what I expected for the price. The managers are extremely attentive and friendly, welcoming regulars and newcomers alike. They also like to ask customers for feedback which I think is great. They even added a bunch of fun stuff on the 2nd floor like skeeball, pool tables, darts, and a jukebox and have mentioned hosting private parties and happy hours. So why the 3 stars? My main gripe is that they are very inconsistent with their hours. We’ve tried to go there a few times on the weekend when we’re trying to wind down for the night or just have a good time in the neighborhood. But the last 2 times we’ve been there, they’ve shut down at 12 midnight! Even though there were at least 4 of us still there and playing games, we were asked to leave. The fact that we can’t count on JR’s to be open during regular«bar» hours on a weekend makes us hesitant to go back there, assuming it will be closed.

Nice neighborhood bar in a great area! I was there Saturday night for a private party and we had the entire 3rd floor to ourselves with our own server. The food was served to us buffet-style and was absolutely delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive the entire night. Aside from our party, the place was rather empty for a Saturday night(probably because of the torrential downpours outside), but it was a fun environment with pool tables, a jukebox, Skeeball, darts, etc. I’ll definitely be going back!

This place had really come up! The food is delicious, the staff is very nice and kid friendly, I’ve been pleasantly surprised! Amazing mozzarella sticks and crab soup is some of the best I’ve ever had and I’m Gordon Ramsey when I go to a Resturant.

Not sure how to rate this place! Stopped in with a friend on a Sunday night for a late quick dinner. We sat at the bar and the 2 women working behind the bar were very friendly and helpful. Our food and drinks were tasty(we got crab dip, burger, and pizza) and wallet-friendly! That makes me want to return. Unfortunately, the local crowd of men at the bar was rough — loud, swearing, making sexist comments, etc. I would definitely never go there by myself. There was actually a hand-written sign behind the bar that said something along the lines of «If you wouldn’t say it to your mother or your daughter, don’t say it to our staff.» I think that gives you a pretty good idea of the regular crowd that must come in there. I’m going to wait and try again at a regular meal time to see if the atmosphere is better.

Stopped in for a quick dinner. Met the owners daughter. Everyone was super friendly. It is a nice little grill tucked away in Locust Point. Food was good. The atmosphere is nothing fancy but once you’re settled in it really didn’t seem to matter. I recommend taking a risk and stopping in. Plenty of available parking.
