Let’s see where do I begin. My husband and I decided that we wanted to try something new so we asked my doctor after my appointment if the Asian Bistro was good. We pass it for every appointment, but have never tried it. She said it was great and she was a regular. Since I’m pregnant she gave us some food suggestions. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile. We were seated and then our wonderful waiter Jimmy comes over. Jimmy was really fun and upbeat. He kept me laughing and offered good suggestions since this was our first time here. Take note at the pictures… he gave one of them a little spice! For the record when we go back… we want Jimmy to serve us. So, ask for Jimmy if you go and tell him I sent you. We started out with sushi. I only eat cooked sushi, even when I’m not pregnant and it was really delish. I got the California Roll and the Baltimore Roll, which had backfin crabmeat in it. My husband got the coconut shrimp, and that was good(I know because I snuck a taste… lol). He also got spring rolls but I didn’t taste it although he said it was really good. Then I got the Steamed Dumpling sampler… I didn’t care for the pork but hubby did. I liked the shrimp and spinach dumplings though. Also their house cabbage is good. It was sweet with a hint of ginger. For dinner hubby got Singapore Curry Fried Shrimp and I got Fried Shrimp. I didn’t taste his but he liked it. I definitely liked my fried shrimp. We only ate a few bites because we were full from the appetizers. The restaurant including the bathroom was very clean. So, if you are in the mood for good fresh Asian Flare… go to Jasmine’s Asian Bistro!!! Thanks Jimmy!!! See you soon!

Jasmine’s is one of my favorite Asian restaurants as it is right next to my house. I can speak highly of their sushi and chicken fried rice. The food has never disappointed me. However, the reason for only four stars is because of the service. The people that work here actually make me want to not go back and that’s saying a lot because I love the food. If you don’t give them a big enough tip, which why would you because their service isn’t worthy of a big tip, they yell at you? I have actually been scolded for not leaving a big enough tip(on a very small check). I think it’s absolutely insane that they get away with that. Unfortunately, since I love Asian food I will be forced to go back. Word to the wise, just leave a slightly bigger tip or better yet get take out!

I have gone here for years, and have generally liked it. The management maybe isnt the friendliest but generally it was good, especially since the demise of Pikesville’s best Asian food-Jumbo Seafood This was until a recent trip where we ordered take out and my father found FLOSS in his food. They stated it was used to cut small foods or something, I am not really sure, and they attempted to give us a store credit. However, that is just not excusable. GROSS

Ordered steamed vegetables and shrimp, came quickly and it was hot and steamy! Was a good size portion of shrimp. Food was very adequate.

I’ve been there twice. I had a good time at the first time. The eel don is great; probably the best one since I moved to Baltimore. However, tonight I went there again and tried teriyaki chicken. The chicken in my opinion is overcook and dry; the whole plate is greasy and salty. I might go there again because of my first experience, but I guess I will be more careful with the food type I order next time.

Food: 4 – 4.5÷10 Quantity: it is pricey but worth the quality, that being said quantity is adequate Service: I really don’t care. Feed me tasty food and make me full. Check. They were pleasant and helpful with me so no complaints. Pad thai: 3.5÷5 –they need to spice it up, fairly generic but good enough when craving thai Kung pao: 4⁄5 Chicken pieces seem healthy sized white meat and tasty when fresh Dynamite roll: 5⁄5 $ 7 for 5 pieces, made differently everywhere. Had a weird mayo orange sauce that I absolutely love and order it every time. Best thing about here so far. Craving it now and it’s a staple when I order here.

This is our story in regards to Ms. Rotten’s reviews. We, at Jasmine always stand by our products and services. When I offered Ms. Rotten a refund of rice because she told me initially there was nothing wrong with the food. She also made her complaints an hour after she picked up her food order. When I offered to make her a brand new replacement of the food order. her only response was to get her $ 45.00 back without returning the food. Any customer who have en-countered with me would know, I always put their needs first. But we can’t simply refund the full amount when you don’t return your purchased product.

This is a great place to get delivery: the food is good, the order was accurate, and you can order online! I get soup from them once or twice a week(pick up). Their spicy Korean soup is really good as is their Thai chicken soup. You can modify the spiciness when you order online. Their Chinese type food is pretty good, better than average but not amazing. Their sushi is pretty great, I especially like the lobster rolls and the sweetheart rolls(they’re heart-shaped!). The dressing that comes on their garden salad is amazing, and the seaweed salad is good too. My only gripe(and I don’t actually care about this but it bugs the crap out of my hubby) is that they don’t have the crunchy noodles with the soup. Meh. I bought a huge bag at Eddie’s, no big deal.

Customer service is an absolute joke here. Their website states that you will receive a warm welcome upon entering; not so much. All I got were silent, vacant stares when I walked in to pick up my order. Heaven forbid you have a problem like I did. Be prepared to talk to multiple rude people who will then walk away from with you without a word and leave the next person to handle it. The manager(I’m assuming it was the manager) was the worst of the bunch, extremely condescending and not willing to listen. All that for food that wasn’t even worth the price. I took one bite of my crab rangoon(which is an absolute favorite of mine) and that was it. All I could taste was cream cheese and salt. They were so salty! The shrimp pad thai was fair, but nothing amazing. Safe to say, I won’t be coming back.

I said u could charge me but i dont like it. She stormed off But then the food wasnt bad. Chicken fried rice and Mongolian beef. They r just grumpy ppl. Also demanded a tip. !!!

I really enjoy the sushi here. My favorites are the shrimp tempura rolls and spicy tuna rolls. I have been here multiple times and my sushi is always fresh. Try the sushi with a side of spicy mayo… delish! I’ve also tried the tamarind chicken which was awesome.

Thank you, Jasmine Asian Bistro, for being open on Christmas Day. Despite the verbal abuse I overheard from a patron as I waited for my order, this agnostic thanks you for having the audacity to be open. Sure, I placed my order at 10 of 7, arrived at half past 7, and learned that my online order didn’t make it. But thank you for rectifying the situation by quickly placing it on the spot. Sure, the wait was 30 minutes. But it’s Christmas frigging Day, and I ordered Chinese food within close proximity of a major city on the East coast: I knew what I was getting into. And now I know why every other Chinese food place shut down their online ordering system: my bad for not just calling in the first place. Besides, I’ve waited in line, in the cold, in Fells Point on non-holidays for three times as long for waffles, AND I drove over here after bypassing at least three other Chinese takeout places. Spending 30 minutes catching up on tweets while I patiently waited did not break me. It was a horror show trying to get into any grocery store the last few days, and I had no food in my house. If it weren’t for you, I’d be eating almond butter out of a jar with a spoon. Instead, I’m eating tasty, hot beef and broccoli and spring rolls. Namaste.

I’ve eaten her multiple time before posting on Unilocal.I really enjoy the food! I think the sushi and vegetarian options are great. The tofu is well flavored and cook perfectly. I was really surprised at the amount of flavor that was incorporated in the curried tofu and general tso’s tofu. I’ll definitely will be looking to try more of the vegetarian options. I’ve eaten in and have had carry out. The portions are much larger, of course when you eat in. The food is always made fast when you carry out or call a head of time. I gave this rating three stars because of some concerns I had while dining in. The first time I went I sat on the farthest side of the restaurant. I was able to see the end of the sushi table. There they had a bucket of water they used to refill the water pitchers. The bus boy/water boy would fill the pitchers with water from the bucket then cover the bucket with a napkin. I guess it saves them time from going to the kitchen to get water but it did not seem sanitary to me. I don’t know how long its been sitting nor what was previously in the bucket. I only drink mixed drinks or pop from now on. The other time I ate in, after paying and leaving a tip on the bill! The waitress asked«Did you not like my service?» Her service was fine no problem. She then asked why she wasn’t tipped. It was explained the tip was placed on the bill(I guess she didn’t look.) She begged for more money, in cash so she could get her passport. WOAH! My friend gave her a couple extra bucks. She still was not appreciative!!! I guess if the tip is placed on the bill they don’t receive it??? I felt that was uncalled for especially for the amount that was spent. Overall the food is GREAT! I just stick to carry out.

Food was just ok… pretty bland actually. Crispy Shrimp and Scallops in lemon sauce were not crispy, but soggy. The lemon sauce tasted watery and the shrimps were not deveined. Human beef was ok… nothing spectacular. Eminence was nice, service was barely ok. No reason for is to come back. Ever. ***UPDATETHENEXTMORNING*** Spent the night with terrible stomach pain and diarrhea. So this place got downgraded to one star only because that is the minimum. UGH.

Almost everything I order here gives me indigestion. I’m not sure what they put in their sauce or what… But no other chinese food does this to me… Not crappy take out or a finer dining experience — just Jasmine. That being said, the food is good… I just have to suffer later. The service here is MUCH better than the(now, thankfully) closed JAB in Lutherville.

Jasmine’s may be on the pricier side for Chinese food, but it pays off in flavor and quality! My personal fav is their Honey Sesame Chicken– crispy white meat pieces covered in a sweet sesame glaze. BOMB. This isn’t like other sesame chicken I’ve had; its got that satisfying crispiness and the sweetness of the sauce really kicks it up a notch! While their dinner entrée is relatively steep at $ 14, they’ve got a great $ 8 lunch deal that includes rice and your choice of soup… definitely the way to go! I recently had their Thai Red Curry with beef and Tom Yum soup, which was tasty… but less impressive. The soup was really acidic and a bit meh. just some zucchini, mushrooms, and onions floating around in the broth. Did I mention the pineapple? Yeah, pineapple. In my soup. Weird right? Somehow it worked though to counter that acidity with a bit of sweetness. The curry was really flavorful and had that rich coconut milkiness going on, but the chewiness of the beef makes me think I’ll stick with the chicken next time. Stil, a solid place to go to for some tasty Asian flavors if you don’t mind spending a prettier penny than ya might be used to!

Jasmine Asian Bistro is one of those places without a vision, just hungry to make money. Obviously all restaurants need to make money, but at Jasmine it just seems more apparent. My main gripe is that every dish is essentially the same thing. Whether you get the kung pao Chicken or one of the many Thai dishes, you are guaranteed to get squash and zucchini in your dish. Neither of these ingredients are traditionally Asian, nor should they be the star component in a kung pao dish. They are used solely as filler vegetables, in an effort to use less meat in a dish. This is great for cutting costs, but not so great for a memorable dining experience. However, I will say that the food is always fresh though. I have never had to think twice about eating something. Some things on the menu are worth talking about such as the chicken and broccoli(put together tableside and served on a sizzling platter) and the orange chicken. Both of these dishes don’t have the filler vegetable issue that I mentioned earlier. The ONLY reason my reviews is 3 stars as opposed to 2 stars is because the sushi is honestly pretty good. Although a tad pricey for a strip mall joint, the sushi is fresh, creative, and tasty.

Terrible food. Ate here twice and couldn’t finish my food since it was pretty boring. The service is pretty under whelming, as well. It will take forever to get your drink refilled or to get your food. My sister went here last week, and she also recieved terrible service, and as such, she only left a $ 1.83 tip, more then what I would ever leave. On her way out the wait staff stopped her, and her boyfriend, and blocked the door so they couldn’t leave until they paid more for the tip. I got a call from my sister hysterically crying because they were yelling at her and being stupid annoying(insert mean words here) to her. When we called the manager later on, she legit said«OHTHANKYOUFORCOMINGINWEWILLTAKECAREOFYOUNEXTTIME.» and hung up. That being said! If you enjoy really crummy food and being treated like dirt by the wait staff, then this is the place for you! Otherwise avoid this place like the plague.
