I hadn’t been in in a while, and it was sad to see they’d downsized. I don’t remember if they posted ingredient lists on their food before, but they didn’t when I was just in, and the clerk had to text her manager to ask if there was gluten in a particular dish, and then wait for his response. Most of the entrees do contain gluten, sadly. I unfortunately ended up getting a stomach ache from the carrot«tuna.» They really need to display the full ingredient list of each entrée. They do for the smoothies, which are always top-notch. The music was up so loud it was difficult to hear the clerk when negotiating my order. As far as seating goes, there are now only two small circular café tables placed very close together near the entrance, and one man was hogging both tables. All in all, a disappointing experience, save a delicious Mean Green smoothie.

I’m never disappointed when I stop in at the Grind House. There speciality food items are their smoothies so not sure why ppl have complained about their menu selection. IT’s. JUICEBAR, but they do have nice snack options to compliment the smoothies they offer I’m glad Baltimore has GH this option. FYI this isn’t NYC, clearly, however, it’s great to see we are growing in the right direction. Hopefully more vegan spots will come along Baltimore is a great spot to invest. Anywho, Grind House works for me when I need a quick healthy smoothie after a workout etc. I wish they a location on my side of town. :-) The service is cool too.

Went here for the first time yesterday and tried the«All Fruit Smoothie». It was delicious. The soy milk added a nice flavor and the fruit was fresh. Significantly better than a smoothie from Smoothie King. Will return next time I am in the area.

My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time today. It was amazing! First off, the atmosphere is very welcoming. The walls are vibrant and colorful. The music they had playing was funky. The staff are helpful and give great suggestions about the menu. I ended up ordering the citrus BBQ ‘ribs’ with a side of BBQ cauliflower, and chik’n macaroni salad + an all fruit 16 oz. smoothie all for around $ 15.00. My boyfriend ordered ‘the local,’ which was a wrap with chik’n, fresh veggies and chose BBQ for his dressing. We enjoyed both thoroughly. We will definitely be back!

The service here is unacceptable. Making juices does take time but this is unacceptable. In NYC, you can get a juice in under 3 mins at a fraction of the cost. I don’t understand how this place stays in business because it shouldn’t.

The Grindhouse is AWESOME! Since moving to their new location, which is amazing, they have opted for a semi-buffet style service. No you don’t just go up and help yourself to the food. But, most of the hot food is prepared and waiting on a steam table/buffet. Doing this has dramatically decreased your wait time. Don’t fret, smoothies and sandwiches/wraps are still made fresh. Last time I visited, I ordered the ribs, parsley potatoes and BBQ Brussel sprouts… SIMPLYAMAZING!(Hint: you can never go wrong ordering the citrus ribs) Whenever I forget to pack lunch, the GRINDHOUSE is always my goto.

This is one of my favorite vegan spots in Baltimore. I visited their new location over the weekend with my Mom and it’s gorgeous! Much bigger space with the same welcoming, relaxed vibe. I always love whatever I order and my Mom, who isn’t a vegan, loved her food too! She had the hummus/veggie wrap with fresh lemonade! I ordered the fish wrap(also delicious). Then we had pineapple upside down cake for dessert, yumm! I don’t live in Maryland anymore but whenever I’m in town, I’ll always visit Grind House!

I will simply say ditto regarding the slow service. It took way too long, and frankly I’m wondering how they stay in business. As much as I wanted a smoothie today, I just couldn’t justify spending half an hour waiting in line(with only 3 people in front of me). The ingredients in the display case looked fresh and I really wanted to try something, but I could’ve gone to the grocery store and gotten fruit and veggies and made my own smoothie in less time. If you have no job to go to and plenty of time to spare, give it a try.

Everything takes forever!!! Plan on waiting 30mins for any order including juice .This place is under staffed . The person that’s taking orders makes the juices so you have to wait until they have a break before you get your Juice.

This place used to be called the Yabba Pot. I stopped in for info on catering since my fiancé and I are planning a vegetarian reception. Nothing has been improved. It always seemed to be slow service while Yabba Pot and it’s the same now. Despite having a menu they’ll be out of half of the choices by 1:30 on a weekend. You’re asked if you want the ribs warmed, as if eating them cold is anyone’s preference. Lastly, prices are exorbitant for product given. I’ll email about catering but given my experience I’ll go with Land of Kush up the street.

I was at a friends house and decided I would stop around the corner to grab some lunch from Subway. When I parked I noticed a sign that said vegetarian and juice bar. So instead I decided to go here to Grind House. I went inside and asked the lady taking my order what was most popular. She told me the«Fish» wrap. After some deliberation, that’s what I ordered: «Fish» wrap with barbecue sauce and a side of the Cayennaise. It was soooooo good. Nicely seasoned. I dipped my tortilla chips and wrap into that Cayennaise. I loved that combination. When I was done, I was super satisfied. It was the PERFECT amount of food. Not too much, not too little. I’m definitely coming back here next time when I’m around the way.

Great post work out meal! They have so many different options it’s hard to choose but they all burst in your mouth and are refreshing. Wonderful customer service and street parking. There’s very little room to stand so grab a menu and get out of the way for the locals. You’ll enjoy this!

Once a month on Sunday they have a special brunch menu, so six friends and I checked it out. We all got wraps and fresh juices. I had the Beet It juice(delicious) and the Southern Hospitality wrap(tasty and filling). I think that the next time I go to Grind House, I will get my food and juice to-go. Purely on the basis of the menu and taste of the food and drinks, I recommend it. I should mention that all the employees were very nice, too(not a small feat in Baltimore, which has rude service industry workers as a rule). But read on for the reasons it gets three stars rather than five. The place is very small. It seems unlikely that you and the people in your party would ever be served at the same time. Even at the 2-person table next to us, the woman had finished eating her whole meal before the man was served, and they ordered together. So if timing is important to you, either get take-out or be very patient about not digging in until everyone has their food. The atmosphere is nothing special, with an ersatz Afro-hippie vibe. I think a couple of the small café tables were old furniture from the Yabba Pot, a vegan restaurant on the same block that closed a few years ago. A tv showed a DVD of a lecture at Sojourner Douglass College about eating healthy food. There was one thing about my experience at Grind House that I really disliked. There were three unsupervised children playing in the dining room the entire time we ate. They screamed and stomped(cheerfully, but still) constantly and it was really unnerving. I assume they were the children of one of the restaurant’s employees, but no adult ever attended to them. They seemed like nice little kids, and you can’t expect elementary school children to entertain themselves without noise, but I don’t understand how the tiny dining room of a restaurant(with very limited seating, ¼ of which they were taking up) is the appropriate place for them to be for hours at a time. I am sympathetic to working parents who can’t get babysitters, but yelling, jumping kids = dyspepsia, for me, and I wouldn’t want to subject myself to that again.

THEBEST! I absolutely LOVE this place. As soon as you walk in it’s nothing but positive energy and a good quiet vibe. But, most important, is that the juice and their menus is the BEST. There is something for all tastes. In addition, their salads, wraps, and smoothies are all delicious as well. They are just getting started so the place is a bit small and you may have to wait a bit but it’s all worth it. The staff are always friendly. Did I already mention that I LOVETHISPLACE?

Love this place! If only they would open up a bit closer to home so that I could walk by and get a juice every morning! I came in really just wanting a green drink but found myself in a little vegan oasis! So cute! I love that they have a limited selection of products and shirts, too! I got«The Farmer» and my boyfriend(carnivore) decided to be brave and try the BBQ«Chick’n» Local – and he LOVED it! Ate every last bite. The juices were some of the best I’ve ever had: We got the Sweet Greens and the Hot Shot– don’t know which I enjoyed more. My minor complaints are that the service is a little slow(although…I know… I have to remember that this is not pre-prepared food like at a chain restaurant), but it took AWHILE. Also, I wish the sandwiches could come with something besides chips… maybe some sprouts, cucumber slices, baby carrots, or fruit! Can’t wait to go back next time I’m(even somewhat) nearby to try more. Hope to make it in for some vegan breakfast sometime soon!

It should be a crime to make healthy food so delicious. If I lived closer to the Grind House, I just might actually become an accidental vegan. Their pressed juices, smoothies, and fake meat wraps are absolutely superb! I came here with a Livingsocial voucher and tried the«Go Fish» wrap and the Blueberry Pie smoothie. For the smoothies, you are presented with a choice of using soy milk or rice milk as the base, or almond milk(and something else — can’t quite remember) for an additional 60 cents. I really loved my blueberry pie smoothie(blueberry, walnut, maple syrup, banana) with almond milk. While I hung out there, I noticed that many regular customers ordered the all-fruit smoothie(strawberry, pineapple, mango, peach, banana). I’ll have to get that next time! The real gem of my meal, though, was the Go Fish wrap. The tortilla came lightly-grilled to perfection, and it had a perfect ratio of dressing, greens, and fake fish. The goddess dressing was certainly godly as described! It may take a few minutes to receive your food after you order, but the wait is completely worthwhile when you realize how good the food is and that your ingredients are chopped fresh for every order. The restaurant itself is rather small, but a cozy naturally-lit lounge area with a few tables and couches can be found in the adjoining back room. Grind House Juice Bar and Market = a definite winner in my book!

This spot is just too cute! They’ve got delicious smoothies with no added sugars(unless you want to sweeten things up with some agave nectar), a good assortment of boosters and add-ins, and freshly pressed juice in inventive combinations. Everything is vegan and they give you a choice of dairy alternatives for your smoothy(I love that they offer coconut milk!). The staff was super friendly and they even have free wifi and plenty of outlets in the back room. They just opened up so the market part is still a little sparse but it’s a great addition to the neighborhood and I look forward to coming back!
