Does anyone know why this closed or more importantly where Dr. Kim went? His sushi was a cut above everyone else’s.

It’s Closed! Walked by yesterday and doors were locked during business hours. Phone number is disconnected, and Eat24 ordering is not working either. Rest in Peace, Geisha.

My friend and I wanted to try this place for happy hour but we were there for maybe 15 minutes and walked out. We should’ve been suspicious when we came around 6pm during happy hour and the whole restaurant was completely empty. The menu for HH was sparse and was still super pricey to even call them«deals». I understand this is in the city so you should expect the higher prices but I still don’t feel like that’s fully reasonable.

Don’t get fooled by the photos that the business owners have posted on Unilocal. I tried this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago and they got everything on my order incorrect, plus everything was very bland. Last night, I thought I would try them again for takeout and it was the most disappointing I have ever been with sushi. I ordered for takeout one heart attack roll and one spicy California roll. The total for the bill was $ 20 which idk how that came to be… the rolls were extremely tiny. I’m not one to complain about portion sizes but this place is just ridiculous. If you want to get ripped off, I HIGHLY recommend this place!!! :))))

Ok– the service was«good» but the sushi rolls were not amazing. Sorry i’ve had way better and wouldn’t return.

Had delivery from there, very easy to order despite the problem with the Unilocal ordering site that wants to put EXTRAs on every roll order. I called, no problem. Food was delivered in a timely manner and was fresh and well done. Rolls were especially great, large, tasty. Had some shashimi on the side that was generously portioned as well. All in all I will eagerly try this place when back in town again

Take out dinner for the evening. Let me start by saying that I love sushi. With that said, this place did not hit the spot. It was mediocre. I read the reviews and by popular demand ordered the green tuna roll(8 average size rolls). It had too much mayo and lacked the crunch I read in the reviews. It’s my guess that the overbearing mayo took away the spicy-ness of the spicy tuna –I was looking forward to every ingredient listed for this roll. I also ordered edamame which could have used less salt and more steam — they were pretty hard. Total bill $ 19.

(8÷5÷2015) Great app and entrée specials. The sushi is good, but the Korean entrees are great(good heat)! Menu is a mix of new and creative as well as traditional. Glad to see more staff and patrons in the place. Things seem to have picked up.

My brother and I meet here for lunch about once a week. The service is prompt and attentive. The sushi is always fresh and presented beautifully. And the all day happy hour prices make it a good deal!

The sushi here is passable but not great. The rice to fish ratio is off, so you end up eating a whole bunch of rice and a little bit of fish. On another occasion I ordered the Korean seafood Soon Dubu because the owners are Korean. It was so watered down and the soup smelled like rancid crab and shrimp. The Kim Chee side dish was old as well, and not worth the price — $ 15.

I came here with a friend when we were in town visiting. We ordered a couple different rolls that were pretty good(California/spider/playboy) and some of the Korean style spicy chicken which wa pretty good as well. My only complaint is that I didn’t realize that most of the rolls have masago(and a lot of it) on them and that is not something I am fond of. But overall this was a pretty good place to eat!

Ordered from Geisha Sushi for takeout for a late night dinner at the office. It took 40 minutes, but they forgot my coworkers order so we had to go to the restaurant twice(they’re a block away from my office). I ordered a salmon roll(pretty standard) and the Green Tuna Roll, which, yes, is as good as everyone says it is! I can’t quite put my finger on what made this a standout, but subtle crunchiness on the inside was a surprising plus. My coworkers avocado salad was just half a sliced avocado and some imitation crab… Not sure if this is prepare differently in the restaurant, but it was a huge disappointment for him. Overall, Geisha Sushi is a reliable treat for convenient sushi without having to skimp on quality!

I’m in town for army navy and thought I’d stop by. They’re really friendly and their service was great. Dont even get me started on the sushi. I’m having the green tuna roll and it blew me away. Great job all around and if I lived near here I would frequent. Good prices as well.

I would give these guys 0 stars if I could. This is a late review but reading through some of the others, I’ve noticed a ton of 1-star reviews around Otakon time. Not surprising, as our experience reflect the same. We were looking around for a restaurant to eat at that would tolerate cosplayers, and we saw Otakon specials in Geisha’s store window so we figured they would. I have to say first of all that it was a pretty empty dining room. The whole time there was one other party besides us, we were 5 or 6, and there were about 3 people at the bar. After deliberation on a very large menu where you list how many of each item you want like a form, our waitress came over and scolded us for not filling out the menu clear enough. Weird, we thought, but none of us were local so maybe it was part of the culture. She then warned us that we should get sushi instead, as there would be a wait for hot food because of a kitchen backup. We asked how long that might be and were given an estimated time of twenty minutes. We agreed to that time. Our waitress also suggested to one of our party to order a different protein as her food would be out faster, and she agreed. The dish was out immediately and had clearly been sitting in the window for another patron as there was no way it was cooked to order in 3 minutes. We also received whatever alcohol was ordered. Fast forward not twenty minutes, not thirty minutes, but an hour, and no one else has received food. In fact, it seems to us as if there’s at least a half hour wait on sushi from observing the other patrons. The waitress had not come over to check on us other than to drop off a batch of water. That’s right, in a nearly empty dining room, for an hour, we didn’t even get a single refill. In fact, we’d only seen one waiter come out for the other table, one woman on the phone, and a man behind the bar. Other than that, it was absolutely dead in the dining room with regards to staff. Finally, we managed to find our waitress and we asked her to check if any of our orders had been fired at all. We said that we were happy to wait if they were but we were hungry, so if they weren’t, we would pay for what we had received and then be on our way. We emphasized that we were content to do either of these things but we really were hungry and needed one or the other. She came back with our bill and reported that one our after ordering, absolutely NONE of our orders had even been FIRED. I thought about chipping in for tip(because I did receive water) but our waitress had the gall to come over and exasperatedly say, «see?! I told you to order the sushi.» My party agreed that, had she been honest and said the wait was over an hour, that we wouldn’t have sat down. Had she come over to apologize for the long wait and offer us another look at the menu, we might have stayed. In fact, had she even been polite to us, we would’ve been happy to tip on what we were served despite the abysmal service. Instead, we were ignored and condescended to, and left hungry. And the dish we did get? Was over-peppered to mask an otherwise bland entrée. Come here only if you want to leave angry.

I used to go here for lunch every week! Their sushi is very delicious :) they also have happy hours on their food. Good service! Good food! Usually nice and quiet! You really can’t ask for anything better. It is a great lunch spot if you work or live in the area

Great sushi, ok service tucked into a downtown lower level restaurant. Ordered the Gyoza pan fried, very good, perfectly cooked, tasty. Moved on to Imperial Shrimp roll and tempura shrimp roll, both had perfect crunch and taste and I would recommend. Service never even offered a refill, or even a refresh, but hey they brought free Sake. They shut down the sushi bar, and saw I was still a little hungry. Their solution: ginger ice cream. Nice treat and I didn’t have to cry.

This sushi bar is located 50 miles from me and I can honestly say I’d drive there once a week if I could. The sushi was creative and delicious! You’ll almost miss this place but just go inside and follow the steps down. Happy hour every day of the week — yes you read this right, EVERYDAYHAPPYHOUR — this makes me very happy. All the food was fast, presented beautifully(the waiter even helped me pose my sushi haha), tasted fresh and the prices were unbelievable. I had a roll with crushed pineapple that I was curious about and it turned out to be the most amazing flavors. Who sticks pineapple on top of sushi rolls?! This place! This is a diamond in the rough and I’m officially calling this my new favorite sushi spot. I can’t wait to try their new sake bar. Never fear Baltimore is good for something.
