Back when I lived in Baltimore city I came here for the lunch specials. My favorite is the spaghetti with pesto sauce. Armando is a great guy. He gave me a complementary cappuccino and showed me where his mother lives near Naples. This is a wonderful place. Would definitely recommend and would repeat if it was closer.

I love this place. Great atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. The owners JoAnn and Armando as well as their sons are always very interactive with the customers and make them feel like a good friend they’re happy to see from the moment they walk in the door. I don’t eat meat or dairy but they are always very accommodating and make delicious pasta dishes for me! I absolutely LOVE the panino’s. I’ve honestly eaten around 200. I can’t get enough. If you want to enjoy great Italian food at a place that feels like home, visit Frank’s.

Great friendly place, food is amazing I got cheese steak and hot wings both were superb. Hot sauce was different not the same as the other places, it was flavorful and spicy amazing experience, of course I will stop by again. The only bad thing was that I could not stop eating and ended up eating 10 hot wings and a 12 inch cheese steak with hots late at night. Lol I could not see straight after that. I recommend this place to anyone.

Recommended by a friend, the wife and I tried Frank’s out. We’ve been back weekly ever since. I try something different every time. NEVER been disappointed. Subs, dinners, garlic bread… All prepared faultlessly.
It doesn’t look fancy inside — just a sub shop with seating for about 30 people max, but to a person, a friendly staff and everyone who comes in (a constant stream) do so with a smile. Love this place.

The customer service was great but I was not impressed with the food. We ordered the crab cake sub — not good. The crab cake had no flavor what so ever and was blended with a lot of filler (not sure what). The pizza was just okay — nothing to rave about. From what we gathered, they have their devoted customer base, which is good for them. But as someone who was there for the first time, I would not go back.

To give you an idea of how friendly this place is, the second time I went in they shook my hand and said it was good to see me again. Even the basic cheese pizza is very good, and the more creative pizzas are awesome and have tasty ingredients– the Mediterranean pizza, the broccoli and mozzarella, even the spaghetti pizza. Nice ambiance, great food, great people. My favorite of the Italian counter restaurants.

Frank’s is so good! I always try to make a stop here when I’m visiting my family and friends in Baltimore. The last time I was in town I stayed for ten days, and my grandma and I went to Frank’s twice because the food is so yummy!
Not only is the food delicious, but the service is great and the staff is so nice. I’ve had their pizza and their chicken parm, and both were cooked perfectly and served hot.
Although they have seating, it’s pretty tight, so just FYI in case you were looking to bring a big group of people. Other than that, absolutely no complaints about this place!

My family and I used to really love their pizza. I don’t know what they did to their recipe, but it tastes NOTHING like the pizza we fell in love with. They WERE our go to spot, and at times, we preferred them over many other brick oven dine-​in places. But sadly, we haven’t wanted pizza there in a very long time. Go back to what you were doing, never switch up and don’t think your diehards won’t notice.

Without question the best pizza I’ve had since I moved from NY years ago. I will go here above any other pizzeria in Baltimore. Forget Pizza Johns. Franks is the place to be for pizza! Unassuming location but the pizza is fantastic.

I’ve been eating here since I was a kid. The food is so good. My favorites are mozz sticks, pizza, crab cake, chicken cheesesteak. You can dine in or carry out. You can also take in alcohol and have a glass of wine (or whatever you prefer) with your meal. Family owned, friendly staff. Closed on Monday’s.

(6÷6÷2015) Was at a Belmont Stakes watching party and they had some pizzas from Frank’s. The thin crust is a great Neopolitan style, thin, chewy, very fresh veg toppings, and creamy dollops of fresh ricotta. The really great treat was the Spaghetti Pizza, a half-​inch thick layer of spaghetti and red sauce (straight up salt, tomatoes) on a puffy, chewy, thick crust, well-​salted. It was a carb on carb treat. It’s not in my neighborhood, but those who live nearby love it, recommend it, and I’d go for it.

Called up to place an order for carry out and the customer service was awesome. Franks was a nice inviting pizza shop in Overlea. The pizza was great and I love the large steak fries. I would recommend this little pizza place.

Excellent food and customer service! They have a variety of delicious Italian dishes, pizzas and pizza by-​the-​slice, too. My only suggestion would be to consider adding delivery service. Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed! :-)

I still really love Franks. I just wanted to add how awesome they are at taking care of my and my family when we eat in.
When we ate here for my birthday, they gave us some cinnamon bread treats for the road. Last time we were there, we had to wait a couple extra minutes for our pizza, and they gave each of my kids a blob of pizza dough to play with while we waited. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a neater or more creative distraction for children in a restaurant.
The people who work here are lovely and helpful and good grief do they make some tasty food!

Frank’s pizza has the best pizza in the area. I love the crispy crust and the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. My father always raves about their subs, the cold cut mainly. He won’t order one from anywhere else. The prices are great for the quality of food you get. Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been eating Frank’s pizza for over 15 years. I used to live in the neighborhood and it was our go to spot for pizza. I recently moved away but still drive back. Nothing like the classic cheese that Frank’s does. The staff is great and the small seating section is perfect for eating in.
The Tuesday night deal is awesome. Buy one cheese pizza get one free.

My hubby recommended this spot after his barber insisted he go there for the Medditeranian pizza. It has eggplant, pesto sauce, feta cheese, spinach, tomatoes. Just a heavenly combination that works! We also tried the Frank’s cheese steak which was also very tasty. The cheese steak had green peppers, onions, mushrooms, sauce and cheese. Yes. That was all the ingredients it took to make me fall in l obe with this place.
So tasty, so good… we are going back for lunch today. Another slice of pizza!
