VENUE: Surprisingly spacious mini play house nestled in the heart of Upper Fells Point. ACTING/PLAYS: All independent, extremely well acted productions. I am VERY impressed by the consistency of the acting. PRICE: Very reasonable and an excellent purchase for people who want to watch a play, but don’t want to spend too much. RETURN: I have season tickets now; I have been going for about 2 years. If you don’t like the play, it is easy to just leave. I presume that most of the people who attend live in the area, so it is a wonderfully convenient exposure to cultural activity. RECOMMEND: 100% — I live close by so I can’t comment on parking, but if you are walking distance you should certainly try this place once… at least!

«Other Desert Cities» was a fantastic play, extremely well acted. The relatively tiny theater is cozy and welcoming. This was a true discovery for us, during a special occasion trip to Charm City, and we hope to do it again. The parking deal($ 5) is a good one, by the way; get the voucher as street parking is hard to find.

Went there for the first time last night to see«Amadeus.» Wow, it was excellent! We will return for other productions. It’s not only quality theater, but it’s also affordable(tickets only $ 15). Parking was no problem, and we had a nice dinner at a nearby restaurant before the show.

One of my favorite theaters in Baltimore. Lots of great shows, plus some cool new and upcoming Baltimore playwrights and actors and actresses. Awesome Christmas shows as well.

Fells Point Corner Theatre features two stages: a larger one downstairs and a smaller one upstairs. The cast and directors rotate, so check out their website for the latest season. They sell very affordable refreshments during intermission. Get there early to secure parking!

We signed up for a season subscription while looking for something to do once a month in the fells point area. My thought was that we could park down in Fells early, have dinner, then walk to the theater. Turns out the bldg isn’t REALLY in the fells point(they call it «Upper Fells Point) and you wouldn’t want to walk from one to another in cold weather, or when it gets dark early. However, the parking lot is on Pratt street just around the corner, and the neighborhood around the theater is decent, so no big deal. What I wasn’t prepared for was the quality of the production we would see. Granted, we’ve only been to one show, but the performances turned in watching«Three Tall Women» blew us away. We’ve seen lots of NY theater, shows in London, Chicago and other venues, but these actors really made you feel every emotion of this play. We’re looking forward to the next show.

3.5 stars. FPCT is a community theatre company that conducts well-known plays performed by mostly locals. I saw the Terrence McNally’s «Love! Valor! Compassion!» and was pleasantly surprised by the entire production and the performances of the entire cast. The theatre is small and simple, but I’d go back to the other productions.

This is a shameless plug for my Grandma’s(NY-er at heart) theater. She doesn’t own it but has spent all her time volunteering here for as long as I can remember. It resides in an old firehouse and a few years back was completely renovated. Different artist hang their art work in the lobby for every show and the theater is small and intimate. They take the plays very seriously here so if you are interested in some serious theater this is your place! And compared to NY prices-you can’t go wrong.
