This place has tons of cute clothes. It is like a brick and mortar version of (and that’s a good thing), always nice to support local businesses who bring something different to Baltimore.

I love this store! If you are into vintage or retro-style fashion, this is the place to go in hampden. I’ve been shopping here for several years, since before they moved down the street to a larger location, adding a men’s store on the lower level. They’ve always kept their curated selection consistent in style and quality. This is one of those stores that I can’t enter without leaving without at least a few new pieces for myself, and gifts for my friends, too. The full-price items can run a bit pricey, but they only carry high quality clothing, shoes and accessories at this place, so I’ve always felt that the pricing is fair. The lady who usually works the register is sweet and eager to chat with me about fashion. They also provide very cute gift wrapping, such as little boxes for jewelry and colorful paper tissue, all for free if you specify that an item you’re purchasing is a gift. A very homey, genuine local boutique. Can’t go wrong at doubledutch.

How am I only the 4th to review this gem of a shop?! Leslie and Daniel are a husband/wife entrepreneurial duo extraordinaire and I am so glad they are located on the avenue in hampden. My fiancé has gotten me two gorgeous dresses from Doubledutch and today I got a Byrdie Jewelry vintage NYC subway token bracelet. The men’s shop Sixteen Tons is downstairs while the ladies can find shoes, handbags, jewelry, and clothing upstairs. The shop has new and vintage finds, carefully curated. Occasionally they have open houses showcasing photography and old motorcycles and what not. If you are looking for brands like Kling, Mel, they have those and more. Excellent service without the irritating hipster pretentious tones that accompany other shops nearby.

This is my favorite local boutique in Baltimore! It’s especially great because my husband can look around at Sixteen Tons while I browse through all the cute printed dresses at Doubledutch, there’s definitely something for everyone here. I particularly love their printed dresses– dolphin prints, tiger prints… so many cute things. They also have a great collection of vintage clothing as well as bags and jewelry. Their staff is always friendly and never intrusive. Definitely come pay a visit!

I second the guy below me. How has this treasure trove not been reviewed by everyone?! As soon as I walked past Doubledutch and Sixteen Tons, I was a goner. It was love at first sight for me. It could just be that, having been visiting from out of town, I fell prey to the cute, charming, kitschy attitude of the Avenue. Nothing lubricates the wallet quite like being a tourist. However, I don’t think that is it. Doubledutch and its sister(brother?) store, Sixteen Tons, are just really great boutiques. They have a really well curated and decently priced selection of vintage renewal and vintage inspired fashions. I would have liked to see items for slightly less, but they are pretty fairly priced. I would say it is on the higher end of moderate, depending on your budget. The median price for a dress here was about $ 60-$ 70, and a shirt will put you out about $ 40. They have a nice selection of shoes, jewelry, and accessories, as well as some cute cards and stationary, in addition to the clothing. The workers there were really friendly and helpful, without being suffocating and obnoxious. The set up of the place is also adorable. Cool, retro furnishings and fixtures with patterns, textures, and colors all over. I would give this place a good review for home décor inspiration alone! There was a couch and coffee table with magazines for your guy to wait while you try on clothes(if he doesn’t want to head downstairs and check out the menswear, that is), and even a cute little kitchen playset for kids! I’m bummed that they don’t have more of their stuff online. I will definitely be returning here if I’m ever in Baltimore again.

Wow… really shocked that Doubledutch doesn’t have any reviews on Unilocal. They were previously located just off the avenue, but have now reopened in the same building with the newly relocated Sixteen Tons, making for a great one-two punch when it comes to shopping for a Baltimore guy or gal. If I’m in the market for a gift for my wife, Doubledutch has never(and I suspect will never) let me down. Amazing clothes at great prices.
