With a Mexican name, you also get a mexican feel to this store. If you are looking for Latin products, this is an excellent place to stop in. Prices are reasonable and selection is pretty good. It seems to be a popular store for latinoamericanos.

A true gem in Highlandtown, cinco de mayo was a happy find. Here you can find Queso fresco cheeses, tortillas, aloe vera, slabs of meat to your hearts content. We stopped by because we were wandering in the neighborhood looking for horchatas. Turns out, they have a little Taqueria across the street from the main grocery store(408 Highlandtown) also called Cinco de Mayo, They have the best tacos we’ve had in Baltimore. The beef was juicer than the chicken tacos; both were flavorful and tasty. We also tried their quesadillas which was unique — it had a thick outer shell(like a calzone). It was filled with chicken and cheese and topped with cheese and lettuce shreds. delicious. Everyone seemed to be getting the hamburger(?cemita poblana) which we’ll try next time. Horchatas were great and come in very large sizes.
