LOVE their fresh pasta(especially Buccatini, penne, fettucine, angel hair!) and their garlic bread(located in the freezer on the right). We pick up pasta from there every few weeks and it goes so far beyond anything you would find in a box. They carry deli items too, make sandwiches that look great and are reasonably priced, and have ready-to-go packages too, like salads and pastas to heat up and eat. I love the fresh pasta best.

Main reason I go to Italian delis is for the bread. Got the Godfather. The roll was one of those store bought hoagie rolls that come in the 6 pack. Pretty bummed out. Threw half away.

The best for fresh pasta, and great meat. Limited but good selection of Italian staples(good tuna, beans, olive oil, etc).

Great selection of imported items. Fantastic sandwiches. They’re from NY and you can tell. Favorite Italian market in Baltimore.

Big part of the Belvedere Market in terms of size. Mostly deli style. They have cold foods and packaged foods. You can also get hot subs from a short selection. I got the Rosemary potatoes, fried chicken, and chicken steak sub. Potatoes and fried chicken were good, they were in the cold bar but the staff heated it up for us. Steak looked good but was okay in taste. You pay at the register up front. I asked the guys at the deli register where to pay, they pointed to the cashier’s register shaking their heads in disappointment. Well sorry I wasn’t born with the knowledge how their place was set up. No way to treat a new customer or any customer. Best FAKE good customer service I’ve experienced, well actually second best, this one place in the northeast market wins the trophy lol. Perhaps they were trying too hard and came across as unauthentic. They tried to be helpful but there was a lot of immaturity and giggling by the guys :)

This review is for only their bread. Bought a loaf of ciabatta from here as Atwaters was out that day… so glad because I would have never tried it! Cheaper than Atwaters and super authentic(crispy crust, chewy inside, you can even knock on it and hear the deliciousness!). Friendly service, too!

Guys at the deli meat counter are slow, don’t listen and don’t know that 12 ounces is three quarters of a pound. Terrible experience.

(10/26/2013) Ceriello’s at the Belvedere Square is a great place to pick up some high quality butchered meats and imported deli specialities(Serrano, speck, prosciutto). Love the handmade fresh mozzarella. The prepared foods are not really worth it, but you should get the awesome ingredients to make whatever Italian specialty you want. Prices are not cheap, but not absurd. Try the different housemade sausages, nice varieties(chicken, parmesan-parsley) along with the old faves(fennel, sweet Italian).

Ooooohhhh this place is dangerous for me! I do not have the budget or the self control to not buy everything in this place. Luckily when I went there for lunch yesterday, I was too distracted catching up with friends to buy the prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, or jarred sauces that I really wanted to try! The stuff doesn’t come cheap, but I wouldn’t expect it to, it’s all real, authentic quality. But let’s focus on the lunch menu shall we? Two of my friends got some awesome looking panini’s, another got a meatball sub, and I went for the penne alla vodka with eggplant parm. I would repeat this decision immediately! So good, great flavor, all fresh. And not bad prices on the made to order food either! The icing on he cake here was the staff. They were all very pleasant in taking our orders even as we spent a little too long making our decisions. They just kept on smiling. And when they ran out of forks at both stations, I asked one of the cashiers where I could find more, she took care of it right away, going over to one of the other sections in the market to get some from them! I’ll be back here, no question about it!

Great pannini’s! The butcher shop there is great as well. The make their own pasta sauce, but its not as good as Pastores on Loch Raven in my opinion. A solid choice you can’t go wrong with.

I love having an Italian market like Ceriello so close to home. For such a small space, they offer a great selection of fresh and dried pasta, canned goods and preserves, fresh and cured meats, and prepared foods like pasta salads and panini. They even have gelato! I personally love the fresh ravioli, which come in a wide variety of fillings like pumpkin, beef, and mushroom. There is a wine market next door where you can buy a bottle of vino to complete any Italian meal. Prices are a bit on the higher end, so I don’t do everyday shopping here, but it’s perfect for specialty items or when I’m cooking a meal for a special occasions.

Ladies and Gentlemen, direct your attention to the north side corner. Weighing in with the best butcher shop in Balmer, the Italian belvedre square stallion, Ceriello’s! Rocky balboa would trek from south Philly for the homemade buratta balls of mozzarella goodness. Fresh pasta, perfect pesto, grandma’s marinara, terrific deli meats, and an impressive selection of imported meats and cheeses are just the beginning. When Moms get a load of the awesome premade selection of Italian eats, cooking dinner has no chance after a difficult day hobnobbing at the neighboring gym. Dinner in hand, a glass of prosecco and gossip at the adjacent wine bar will fortify the ladies for the rigours of the private school carpool line. The same Moms may leave you for Drago and break you if you don’t patronize Ceriello’s superb butcher area. The meat experts will carve the green stuff right off of the spectacular dry aged $ 25 prime steak that you can’t find in the surrounding 10 miles. The barnyard protien is so fresh you can taste the oink of the swine, the bleat of the lamb, and the quack of the fowl. Yo Adrian, what’s your prediction for the husband who brings home imported sawdust cookies? My prediction? Pain! Clubber wants in house pistacio or chocolate hazlenut gelato. Ceriello’s is the undisputed and expensive champion’s choice to put together a top notch Sunday night dinnner. If you hustle, you can pretend you cooked all day and be in and out of Ceriello’s like a title contender before the Raven’s halftime is over.

I don’t consider myself a food snob, but will easily spend more for good tasting or different foods I cannot easily make. That being said maybe we did not but Ceriello enough to the test. It was a late(almost closing) Friday night and we thought we would just try some of the preprepared items to reheat. Gummy spagetti marinara had no flavor at all. Meatballs only slightly redeemed the dish. Arancini had a few peas and cheese but again was just a meh. Roasted asparagus spears were tough and woody. There were some beautiful soups in a frig case and my husband opted for a container for next day’s lunch. Very little broth was in the container, nice amount of chicken, but again completely devoid of flavor. I agree with the other reviews about the quality of meats and grocery items, but with Mastellones just around the corner – I can easily forget this place.

I found Ceriello’s because I was looking for an authentic Italian Market. It’s authentic in a pretentious kind of way. I still can’t find ricotta gnocchi though. I’m really disappointed with that, but I still get my stuffed pastas and fresh lasagna sheets here. But the reason this place gets 5 stars is because of the butcher. When speaking to the butcher(man, I wish I remembered his name right now), I told him I wanted to make carpaccio. He took out a side of cow, cut the filet fresh from it, then sliced the filet into quarter inch slices. When I got home, I seasoned and froze the filet. I then used a cast iron pan to sear the outside and set it in the fridge to further defrost. About an hour later, took it out of the fridge, and tenderized the quarter inch pieces flat and threw it on a bed of arugula with balsamic and olive oil. Oh man… best I’ve had outside of Europe. I would never consider trying carpaccio without the freshest of meat, and this is where I can find it.

Love, love, love the food here! It’s a bit pricey, but that’s to be expected. I often buy hamburger meat and steak here. We also really enjoy the pre-rolled steak and panini’s. I always make sure to stock up on some cheese and pita as well! Delish!

The best meatball sandwich I’ve ever had. The guys behind the counter seem unenthusiastic and for the most part that they couldn’t care less, but the meatball was that good.

Great meat at good prices, cheese is a little expensive, service is absolutely horrible. They regularly give the wrong items, you ask for paper, you get plastic, you ask for one kind of bread, you get another. The issue with management not being proactive and the store filled with hourly employees that don’t care about customer service. DCJ

Italian old world goodness in North Baltimore. Superb deli choices and imported goods as well as local pasta, cheese, and deserts. This is very much a part of the whole Belvedere Square gourmet food scene, along with Atwater’s Bakery and Neopol Savory Smokery. They are all in the same area and are great for dining or buying things for home or the picnic basket. We loved buying thinly-sliced prosciutto di Parma here.

Head straight to the back for the sandwiches. A crunchable, cornmeal encrusted hoagie enfolds the likes of mortadella, prosciutto, homemade mozzarella and fresh basil(about 7 different ones available). They can be grilled, but I never do that(cold food fan). Everything you need to never cook again is in their prepared food section. Just re-heat. Beautiful cuts of meat are available if you must. Also, loads of pastas, sauces, cheeses, frozen stuff and those crazy Italian digestifs(great bottles for wee vases).
