Everything you could want in a coffee shop. Beautiful vintage space, plants, sweet baristas, great coffee and wifi. This is my go to coffee establishment.

Pretty ill café. The décor and overall feel is very casual and relaxed. Many beards and Warby Parker glasses. Very chill tho. Friendly service. Diverse selection of food, I opted to just get a cappuccino. Hopefully can come back here and eat the food!

I’m a give this place five stars and the music alone. He hear such good music in a coffee shop.
Also say that pretty much everything else is on point. Coffee was good, the ambience was excellent, the staff was friendly, and there were enough water jugs to quench my thirst.
Definitely grab a coffee and take a seat by the window and take in the sights of the amazing Jamaican place across the street.

Someone cut in front of me! then i got some attention while realizing I need to slow down a little and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
The coffee here is fantastic.
The environment is beautifully well done
They have tacos with chorizo, ancho sauce, pickled onions, cilantro & scallions. Or coffee rubbed mushrooms, potato, pickles, green sauce.
The soup of the day looked rich., Laksa Malaysian style noodle soup with pork, cilantro and a 7 chili salsa.
Everyone here was getting the homemade cookies I really wanted one but I’m being good :/

Canteen has really good coffee and they are also super friendly. I like supporting local small businesses so this is a favorite of mine. They also serve food. No printed menu, but the daily specials are on the chalk board. Please try this place when you think about getting coffee or feel like some local good food. I like the old fashioned and organic look and feel of the place.

I came here for dinner after hearing about it from a friend. I’m not sure how to categorize the style of food here but it’s gourmet? is that the right way to say it? I had the cactus and chorizo tacos. It was my first time trying cactus. It was a bit weird, not a huge fan but it had the texture of pepper? But it was flavorless? Chorizo was eh, it was more like minced spicy meat. I wish they had more things on their menu. it’s a bit limited. Cute interior and plants though.

Delicious food, awesome baristas, and a really great atmosphere. My boyfriend and I both loved Bohemian but we might love Canteen more. There’s always some nice ambient music playing softly in the background and it kind of makes you feel like you’re in a film.
The coffee is always very good and the food is top notch. Potato tacos sound weird, but I was blown away. The Lions Head (meatballs/​rice) is amazing and the Laksa is always a safe bet. Our only real «complaint» is with the chili — it could benefit from a bit more salt, but that’s neither here nor there… the food is consistently amazing and the service is always friendly and prompt.
One thing — If you plan on coming for a quick lunch, plan on spending between 20 – 30 dollars for 2 people. Canteen is on the pricier side, but it’s worth every penny.

Consistently good food. The prices and portions are always reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the ingredients and care put into every dish. The menu appears to rotate based on what’s seasonally available. Also the vibe is nice.

Forget what you remember of Bohemian’s food. If you have time, this is definitely the place to go for coffee and food. I highly recommend the BLP and their ceremony thesis coffee is pretty good. The food is absolutely exceptional and worth the time. The people are incredibly friendly — the only problem is the long wait times during lunch rushes.

Stopped by today for a coffee and some lunch. Got the grilled cheese, which came with a very tasty salad. Simple, but executed well. The honey latte was also good, but probably could have done with a bit more honey. This place is fairly quiet, easy to just sit and relax (I spent my lunch reading and drawing in my sketchbook).

I quite liked Bohemian Coffee Haus.
A dark, relaxed and comfortable coffee shop with great employees/​owner and quite relaxed.
This place is its antithesis.
Airy, well-​lit and notably nice tables with a completely different mood/​affect.
Great service and very good tea.

Went recently to Canteen, the former Bohemian coffee spot near Station North. Food is mostly on the lighter side with sandwiches, soups, laksa, and all sorts of vegetarian salads galore. BYO too, no corkage fee. Ambiance was super cute, quiet, no noisy tv.
Food was delicious, something I’d make at home myself, but nice because a. I didn’t have to and b. it was well made/​delicious/​pretty. Service very attentive.
Just an advice: put a sign up! Get a website! Bmore peeps need to know about your place.
