Bill’s Moving really deserves the great ratings they have on here. I moved last weekend and things couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Bill and his partner had my house in Pigtown packed up in their truck within an hour(after arriving at our pre-agreed time on the dot). We even made a stop to my storage unit downtown to grab some bookcases, which I was worried about because I thought it would add on a ton of time, but I really wanted the bookcases and couldn’t imagine another time I would have a truck to get them. It barely added half an hour on to the time. They unloaded my stuff in Bolton Hill extremely quickly. I don’t think either of them even took one break throughout the day, and we were done in 3 hours(and I have quite a lot of stuff!). We even went a bit over the 3 hour mark but Bill didn’t charge me for it. I picked Bill’s after calling a bunch of different local movers and getting quotes, for a few reasons – one, they were one of the more reasonably priced options, but more importantly, because I got the best vibe from Bill when I talked to him, and wanted to trust my instincts. I’m glad I did. They moved everything without anything getting damaged or going missing at all. Both Bill and his partner were extremely professional and took the job seriously and worked carefully but quickly. Moving under even the best of circumstances is very stressful. Every penny I paid Bill was worth it! Thank you, Bill!

Bill helped me move locally in Baltimore and it was a smooth process from start to finish. As part of the moving process Bill swung by my place prior to the move to assess the amount of stuff to move and estimate the amount of time it would take to complete the move. He was professional and prompt with every aspect of the move(communication, day of move, etc.) He was attentive to making sure that nothing got damaged during transit. I would highly recommend him for any moving job.

I have always been wary of movers. I really couldn’t be happier with the service Bill’s Moving provided. As noted in another review, the logistics are handled a little differently, but everything worked out great.

We used Bill’s Moving back in June 2007. It was a little unconventional, as we didn’t sign a contract and all of the estimates were verbal, but on moving day, Bill showed up on time with 3 other people and worked very quickly and efficiently to relocate our 1-br apartment to our new place about 3 blocks away. We were very happy with our move and would definitely recommend Bill to anyone in the Baltimore area.

I don’t really know where to begin with my review of Bill’s Moving. I guess I should start with a disclaimer: I worked for Bill for over 3 years, pretty much all throughout college. That being said, I simply cannot imagine a better moving service in the Baltimore-Washington Area. Bill is quite nearly a «moving celebrity” – no listing in the phone book or on the internet, he now solely relies on word of mouth for his business. And a pretty brisk business he does. This could get long and melodramatic and sappy, so let me just say that Bill is a great man. In life, we all have a lot of friends, people we think are smart, funny, cool, whatever. But, I guess kind of sadly, I can count very few«great men»(or women, for that matter) among those I’ve interacted with in my life. Bill is a great man. He’s like the Buckminster Fuller of furniture packing, the Stan Musial of sofa stacking, the David Cross of couch carrying, the Jimmy Carter of careful capitulation the the gods of furniture moving, all rolled into one. And he’s a real cool guy, to boot. One day, I’m going to write this great coming of age novel about moving with Bill, his lifelong best friend Chuck, our resident law student Jake, the aspiring actor Lips, the hijinx happy hobo Corndawg, and Dane, the all-american man-boy. I hear Chuck’s no more, and the reins have been passed to the strapping Lewis as Bill’s youthful protégé. But one thing is certain-if a 1960’s sleeper sofa needs to humped up a 3 story walk up-he’ll be there to do it. If a foldable futon needs to be hoisted over a railing and around a spiral staircase, he’ll have those hump straps tied around his arms and be a pulling with the utmost of grace and power. Even if an old sashcord windowpane needs to be delicately dissambled to fit a queen sized box-spring into a 19th century Federal Hill home, Bill will be doing things the right way, sober, cautiously and efficiently, all over the Baltimore metro area. At least, until he retires and starts teaching college out here on the West Coast someday, which is really the good, relaxed life he deserves. So yeah, call Bill, he’s your guy.
